Chapter 816 Rock Tricked Carlos
Ishara was cunning. She must have come with a purpose to visit Carlos.
Moreover, Carlos already knew that Ishara was not his biological daughter. With all the bad things her family had done, why would Carlos still see her?

Winnie said, "Maria, Mark probably didn't resign normally. This matter is likely related to Ishara visiting my dad. We've all been deceived! I instructed you not to let anyone visit my dad. How did Ishara still manage to come?"
Maria explained, "That day, Ms. Blanchet came, and I tried my best to stop her. Mr. Blanchet didn't want to see her either."
"But she was heavily pregnant and kept pleading outside, crying and saying she wanted to apologize to Mr. Blanchet in person. She talked about her tragic experiences, how she was abandoned by Mr. Rodriguez and didn't know what to do with the baby."
"She also said that Eleanor and Patrick had been punished. Now that Mr. Blanchet's health is poor, she didn't want to burden the family and just wanted to see Mr. Blanchet one last time before she left."

Winnie's eyes grew colder as she listened. "Were you with my dad the whole time after she went in?"

Once Maria left, with Ishara's malicious nature, she might have taken the opportunity to harm Carlos.

Winnie quickly said, "Maria, is my dad awake? Let him take the phone."
There was a rustling sound, and Carlos's concerned voice came through, "Winnie, you haven't been to the hospital for several days. Is something wrong?"
"Dad, I want to ask you, when I refused to let Rock join the Blanchet Group partnership, did Rock come to see you later? Did he secretly force you to sign any contract?"
"Huh?" Carlos picked up the keywords, and his face changed subconsciously, but he couldn't remember anything. After thinking for a while, he shook his head in confusion, "No, I don't remember signing any contract."
"Really?" Winnie was uneasy, hearing his vague and unclear words. "Dad, have you been feeling okay these past few days? Why is your speech so unclear? Your condition should be improving. Did someone give you any medicine? Think carefully, when Ishara came to see you that day, did she force you to take anything?"
"Winnie, I..." Carlos's head hurt as he tried to think, and something flashed vaguely in his mind. "I remember taking some orange pills that weren't prescribed by the hospital, but I really can't remember who gave them to me."
"Since you woke up, besides Grandpa, Grandma, and me, only Rock and Ishara have visited you. Was it one of them?"
Carlos frowned in contemplation, his eyes suddenly narrowing. "I remember now! It was Rock who gave me the medicine. He visited me alone once, and I had an episode. I thought he was giving me hospital medicine. Later, I found out the hospital never prescribed those orange pills."
He continued, "As for Ishara, I really don't remember what she said that night. What's going on? Did something happen?"
Winnie's heart turned cold, and the light in her eyes dimmed sharply.
Rock and Ishara might be conspiring together behind the scenes!
How could she forget that Ishara once had a lab where she cruelly treated Oscar? She must have some illegal drugs. Carlos spoke so vaguely, and he might have taken something that clouded his mind.
So, the Blanchet Group contract might have been secretly signed by them.
Her nails dug into her palms, her temples throbbed, and she felt a chill.
"Winnie, what happened? Is there a problem with the emergency medicine Rock gave me?" Carlos was perceptive.
Winnie took a deep breath, barely controlling her trembling voice. "It's nothing, don't worry, Dad. I'll come to see you right away. You need to get a brain scan immediately. Maria!"
"Yes, Ms. Anderson, I'm here." Maria took the phone.
Winnie's tone was cold and urgent. "My dad was given some unknown medication that might cause brain sluggishness and intermittent memory loss. I'm going to get the top neurologist in Veridiania to come over!"
"You must watch over him with the bodyguards and not let anyone in! I have something to do and won't be able to get to the hospital for at least 8 hours."
Maria also realized the situation was serious and apologized, "Ms. Anderson, is it my fault for not stopping Mr. Blanchet that day? Did Ms. Blanchet do something?"
"We don't know what she did yet!" Winnie almost screamed as she hung up the phone.
Lawrence, standing nearby, had heard everything. His handsome face turned cold as he firmly held her icy hand, releasing her trembling fingers. He remained calm, "Winnie, it seems Rock and Ishara are working together to get a contract from Carlos."
"Obviously, those bastards! Mr. Blanchet just woke up from a deep coma, and his body is so weak. These two bastards took advantage of the situation, bribed the hospital doctors, and visited him twice. One gave him medicine, and the other probably forced him to sign a contract. Winnie, Ishara might be using Rock to regain her former status!" Olivia was furious, her eyes filled with horror.
Winnie blamed herself, "It's because I kept refusing Rock that he targeted my dad behind my back. It's my fault that Dad is suffering. I don't know if Dad signed any contract or what kind of contract it was."
She lost her composure and stood up in panic. "No, I have to go to the Blanchet Group right away."
"In your current state, you can't take a single step. You need at least one night of IV treatment to fully recover." Lawrence frowned and firmly held her down. "Call Lysander and ask about the situation at the Blanchet Group today. Rock has already turned against you. If he got the contract, he would have started attacking the Blanchet Group by now!"
"Yes, Winnie, even if you're anxious, you need to recover before going to the Blanchet Group. If the shareholders see you like this, it might cause more trouble!" Olivia was frustrated.
