Chapter 835 A Man Who Liked Someone Else
Lynn's face changed slightly!
She looked at Mia with hatred. Little Mia, just over two years old, spoke clearly despite her stumbles! Damn it.
"Jeremy, it's not that I didn't go looking for you, but Olivia kept it from me. I had no idea where to find you." Lynn kept shifting the blame onto Olivia.
Jeremy had no time to listen to her crying, watching Olivia turn and walk away.
His brows furrowed, feeling as if something was slipping away inside him.
He interrupted Lynn irritably, "Stop crying. I'll take you back first."
"Jeremy, you're the best to me! I won't cry anymore. I'm staying at the Luxe Haven Resort. Come with me!" Lynn said loudly with pride, making sure Olivia, who was turning away, could hear.
A scheme flashed through her mind. As long as Jeremy went to the hotel with her, she could fabricate any intimacy between them.
By then, Olivia's plans would fall apart. Dream on if she thought she could steal Jeremy.
"Mommy! I don't want to go home. Why are you letting that bad woman Lynn take over Daddy?"
At the entrance of the Dazzling Estate villa, Mia shouted, refusing to go inside.
Olivia was already somewhat disoriented. Mia's behavior gave her a headache, making her even more upset. She held Mia's small hand, "Jeremy is Lynn's fiancé. Face reality!"
"But I can tell Lynn is very mean. She's not a good woman at all. She's the one who's been making things hard for you all these years."
"Mommy, why are you giving up? Didn't you see that when you left, Daddy's eyes were following you? He doesn't want you to leave!" Mia said anxiously.
Olivia looked into Mia's eyes, a layer of self-mockery in her gaze. "So what if he doesn't want me to leave? Didn't you hear him say he was going to take Lynn back? Should I stand there waiting for him just because of a look?"
Mia saw a hint of redness in Olivia's eyes, filled with disappointment.
Mia paused, trying hard to express herself clearly, "Mommy, you're not Daddy. How do you know he likes Lynn? Don't be so fragile. Even I, not yet three years old, can see that Daddy cares about you. But when he looks at Lynn, he's just annoyed!"
"Maybe Daddy said he'd take Lynn back to talk things over with her? I heard it in the car. Daddy asked you if you liked him. If your answer was yes, Daddy would want to be with you."
Mia's confident words made Olivia speechless.
She calmed down. Earlier in the mall, her pride had indeed gotten the better of her. Seeing Jeremy being so gentle with Lynn had hurt her deeply.
And Lynn had repeatedly slandered her, with Jeremy remaining silent.
Jeremy never questioned the things Lynn did behind his back.
Olivia couldn't understand if he was so good to Lynn because he deeply loved her or because Lynn had saved him three years ago.
Did Jeremy really care when she left, as Mia said?
Anyway, she could tell he was unhappy.
"Mommy! Why can't you fight for yourself? I can see you like Daddy too. Otherwise, why do you always blush around him?"
Olivia glared at Mia.
Mia earnestly advised, " Lynn is too bad. She's always badmouthing you. If Daddy marries a woman like Lynn, he'll regret it!"
That was true.
Lynn's family was the epitome of snobbishness.
If he married her, Jeremy would face endless troubles.
Olivia frowned, her mind stirred by Mia's words. She couldn't help but have thoughts. She controlled her heartbeat and pondered. Even if not for her own sake, some truths needed to be told to Jeremy.
Lynn's misdeeds weren't just a day or two.
But now wasn't like those three years ago. Her relationship with Jeremy had changed.
If she presented the evidence, Jeremy wouldn't just ignore it, right?
Olivia thought, then sat down and took out her computer. As a hacker, it didn't take long to thoroughly investigate someone.
In no time, she had a detailed account of Lynn's activities over the past month.
Looking at the information about Lynn's rich private life, a cold glint flashed in Olivia's eyes.
Lynn still had the audacity to slander her and pretend to be innocent in front of Jeremy?
Olivia would make her pay.
In the luxurious suite of the Luxe Haven Resort.
Jeremy escorted Lynn inside, and his men placed all her shopping bags neatly.
As Jeremy stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, Lynn quietly dismissed his men. She took off her wool coat, wearing only a thin dress, and silently approached him.
When a pair of hands wrapped around Jeremy's waist, he stiffened.
Lowering his head, his eyes turned cold, and he almost immediately shook Lynn off.
"Lynn, what are you doing?"
Jeremy's tone was too cold. Lynn trembled, pouting her pink lips in grievance, and persistently leaned against his chest, "I missed you, Jeremy. You finally came back safely. Can't I even hug you?"
Jeremy's expression remained cold as he pushed her away again, keeping a safe distance. "You know I don't like this!"
Lynn was consumed with jealousy, her eyes teary, "Then why can you be so close to Olivia? Jeremy, do you hate me? For three years, you haven't wanted to be close to me. Except for the night I saved you, we rarely even held hands. It makes me sad!"
Jeremy's brow furrowed. He didn't know some answers before, thinking he was just naturally cold.
But until last night, when he almost forced himself on Olivia, he realized he wasn't without desire.
It was just that he had none for Lynn.
Jeremy's sexy Adam's apple moved, his eyes under the glasses turning cold. He blurted out, "Lynn, there are some things I want to make clear to you. Since you saw me today..."
Lynn's face stiffened. Seeing his serious expression, she seemed to realize something.
Was he going to break up with her?
No, impossible!
She immediately played dumb, shaking her head, "We just met. We have a whole night to talk. Jeremy, sit down first. I sweated a lot just now. Let me freshen up first, okay?"
She panicked, calculating how to win Jeremy over tonight.
It was too late to buy drugs now, but she thought of Sam. Sam had many methods and surely had some powder.
Sam was currently at the Trento City casino, almost losing all the money Mars gave him!
Lynn, ruthless as ever, needed to let Sam know Jeremy was back. She would then persuade Sam to marry Olivia, clearing her obstacles.
Thinking of this, Lynn glanced at Jeremy's lean and tall figure, her eyes heating up, and made a decision.
