Chapter 868 Looking for His Daughter
As soon as they got out of the car, Jeremy and Ray arrived with bodyguards. Ray strode forward, looking serious, "Lawrence, why are you in such a hurry to catch Ishara?"
Lawrence said nothing and rushed into the building, "Follow me!"
"Daddy!" Oscar followed closely, clutching his small computer.
Jeremy found the father and son's anxiety strange. He waved his hand, and the bodyguards flooded in.
On the 13th floor, Lawrence kicked open the door with his long leg.
The scene before him made his eyes turn cold.
There were people in the room, but no Ishara!
Lawrence quickly searched the corners of the bedroom, but she wasn't there.
He came out and angrily punched three bodyguards to the ground, "Where is she?"
"We... we don't know. Ms. Blanchet wasn't here when we arrived," they stammered.
"Lawrence." Jeremy finally rushed in.
Lawrence lifted his cold eyes, "Jeremy, Ray, quickly seal off the building and find Ishara!"
"Lawrence, what's going on?" Ray was starting to realize something and his face changed.
Oscar, not seeing Ishara, started crying, "Jeremy, hurry up and find her!"
"Oscar, what's going on?" Lawrence's breath was icy.
"This can't be happening." Oscar was also puzzled. He searched every corner of the room.
Finally, he found the tracker he had hidden in Ishara's bag in the trash can on the balcony.
He had noticed that Ishara was very attached to this bag.
It had taken him a lot of effort to secretly install the tracker.
But why was Ishara so smart this time? Did she throw the bag away?
This caused the tracking location on his computer to remain in this apartment.
"Did someone take her away, or did she run off herself? How is that possible?" Oscar muttered to himself, frowning deeply. He closed his computer, realizing he should have hired some people to stake out the building these past few days.
"Don't blame yourself, Oscar. It's already impressive that you managed to track her at your age."
Lawrence walked over, feeling heartbroken as he saw Oscar's tears falling.
Oscar had been protecting that child for so long, and now that Ishara was missing, it was as if his sister was missing too.
"Don't worry, Oscar. Daddy will find her!" Lawrence's face was grim. He had feared the worst and had arrived a step too late.
After all, Oscar had only told him this crucial information after Rock's incident.
Rock would have immediately moved Ishara to ensure the child could be used.
Now, perhaps...
Lawrence stood up decisively, picked up Oscar, and walked out, "Ishara is very likely to leave Trento City tonight, or even the country."
"Yes, Rock would only make Ishara go as far away from us as possible," Oscar said coldly, wiping his tears.
"Lawrence!" Jeremy came running back, out of breath, "We've searched the entire building, but there's no sign of Ishara."
"Stop searching here. You and Ray quickly send a large number of people to Trento City's port, major train stations, and airports. Use any means necessary to check Ishara's tickets. Hurry! If you find her, grab her immediately!"
"Got it." Jeremy didn't stop moving.
Ray looked at Lawrence's agitated state, thought for a moment, and couldn't help but step closer and guess, "You once told Bryan and me that Oscar cared a lot about the child in Ishara's belly. Later, you asked me to investigate Ishara, but it was put on hold. Have you discovered something now?"
"Oscar said the child is mine," Lawrence's eyes were empty, like two deep abysses, "It's mine and Winnie's!"
"What?" Ray's eyes widened, taking a long time to process.
"Go, Ray." Lawrence gritted his teeth.
Ray ran out.
Lawrence held Oscar and didn't stay there. His whole body exuded a chilling aura that made Oscar too scared to speak.
He knew Lawrence was on the verge of losing his mind tonight.
Ishara was missing.
She had left their sight a step ahead.
Had he kept this secret for too long?
Oscar's heart ached. He hoped his sister would be safe.
Hopefully, they could intercept Ishara.
If she managed to escape abroad, her fate would be hard to predict.
Oscar's eyes were red.
The waiting time for news felt like an eternity, though it was less than an hour.
Lawrence and Oscar sat in the car, the air frozen.
Jeremy called back, his tone heavy, "Lawrence, we couldn't find any passenger information for Ishara at any port, train station, or airport."
Ray called at the same time, "I've searched all of Ishara's properties in Trento City, but no one is there. I also captured Eleanor, but she won't say anything."
Oscar's cold eyes narrowed, "Eleanor just needs to stall for time, letting her escape tonight. No matter how we interrogate her, it will be useless, Daddy."
"Sit tight." Lawrence pressed his thin lips together and instructed him.
Then Lawrence started the car, speeding down the road. He coldly ordered Jeremy, "Rock must have tampered with the passenger information! He made sure Ishara's whereabouts wouldn't be leaked. She likely took an illegal cruise to leave the country. I'm going to find Rock!"
He continued, "You keep searching for any illegal cruises that haven't left the dock yet, Jeremy. If we don't find Ishara tonight, it will be very difficult to find her later, and something big will happen!"
What kind of big thing? Jeremy was startled by Lawrence's tone. "I'll check every ship!"
The call ended, and the car was deathly silent.
Oscar clenched his hands, racking his brain, "Why would Rock be so certain that we would come looking for Ishara tonight? He moved Ishara out of the apartment, hid her whereabouts, and then sent her abroad? Is it just to control the child in her belly? Daddy, why do I feel like Rock is being overly cautious about this?"
Lawrence couldn't think about that now.
His goal was to find his daughter!
He drove to Rock's villa as fast as he could. As soon as he got out of the car, Lawrence's aura was murderous. He lost his mind and charged towards the villa door, "Rock, hand over Ishara! Give her to me!"
In the villa's living room, Rock was startled.
His cold eyes flashed with a chill as he thought for a moment. Lawrence was so desperate to find Ishara.
There was only one possibility: Lawrence knew the secret about Ishara's belly.
He hadn't expected it to be so soon.
The person who told him must be Oscar.
Ishara had mentioned that her secret seemed to have been discovered by Oscar.
Rock clenched his fist as Lawrence's cold roar came again, "Where did you hide her? I'll give you a choice: tell me her whereabouts, and you won't go bankrupt tomorrow!"
Lawrence was desperate.
