Chapter 272 Jeremy Almost Ran into Olivia
"Hey, let's not talk about that for now. Mommy has plenty of suitors. Right now, the urgent matter is that I have something important to tell Mommy. I saw you at the mall earlier, it was a surprise. Is Mommy there, too?" Oscar asked.
Sidney shook his head, "Mommy has something important today. She left me with an aunt as her guardian."
"Heh, a guardian?" Oscar chuckled. "Sidney, it looks like we need to switch back today."
"Can we switch back?" Sidney pouted, feeling reluctant. He had just found comfort in Mommy's embrace last night, and Lawrence R, well, he could hold Sidney any day.
When will he be able to see Mommy again?
Seeing Sidney's flickering gaze, Oscar felt a sense of loss.
"Do you have any difficulties, Sidney?"
"I don't want to go back to the villa and see Darcy. She forces me to go to kindergarten and intentionally puts me in a class where I'm bullied. She's happy when I get beaten up, and then she tells Dad that I'm misbehaving, making him think I'm always causing trouble."
"Oh, so that's what's happening! If I had known earlier, I would have gone to kindergarten for you today and taught those kids a lesson."
Oscar frowned, a hint of anger flashing in his wise and calm eyes. But he quickly smiled and said, "Don't worry, after I finish talking to Mommy, we'll find a chance to switch, and then I'll help you deal with the campus and expose the conspiracy of that bad woman!"
Even Sidney, who rarely smiled, couldn't help but chuckle, feeling warmed by Oscar's words. Having a brother was pretty good.
"Alright, it's a deal!" Sidney said coldly. "I should go back and continue annoying Lawrence R."
The two little fellows exchanged smiles.
Oscar pointed at each other's clothes, and they quickly swapped.
Then, Oscar hooked his arm around Sidney's shoulder and said, "I'll take you to buy a phone watch and modify it so that you can hide it, and we can secretly contact each other."
Sidney raised an eyebrow and looked at him. "I can do the modifications myself."
"Sure, I couldn't tell. Are you a hacker like me?"
"Just alright," Sidney modestly replied. He had never revealed these skills, afraid that Darcy would find out and target him.
"Who's older, you or me?" Sidney asked.
Oscar laughed, "That's for Mommy to answer, but since she doesn't know now, let's keep it a secret for now. We don't want her fainting from seeing two identical sons."
"Okay!"
The two little fellows went out and received masks at the counter before buying the same phone watches and putting them in their pockets.
Oscar told Sidney to go to the dessert shop while he ran towards the shopping mall corridor to catch the small train.
On the other side—
Olivia anxiously held her daughter and shouted, "Oscar! Oscar, where are you running off to?"
Damn it, she lost her precious baby on the first day of looking after Winnie!
Her worried voice attracted the attention of many passersby. Not far away, a handsome couple was about to enter a high-end French restaurant.
Suddenly, the man wearing gold-rimmed glasses sneaked a glance.
Lynn walked behind Jeremy and immediately noticed Olivia searching for someone while holding her daughter.
Jeremy hesitated for a moment, his sharp ears catching the familiar voice. He asked his subordinate, "Who is causing a commotion outside?"
The subordinate was clueless and hesitated in response.
Jeremy glanced at the crowd with deep eyes and then ordered, "Go and check..."
"Jeremy!" Lynn's eyes flashed, and she immediately hugged the slender arm of the man. "It's just a woman looking for her child, what does it have to do with us? I'm hungry, let's go order! This is my favorite French chef; a few minutes late won't matter."
"Have already finished work."
She embraced him and walked towards the luxurious private room deep in the restaurant.
Jeremy lowered his gaze, perhaps he misheard? That sweet, soft voice sounded a lot like Olivia.
He hadn't seen her in a long time, three years. Lymington wasn't that big, and he had heard from Benjamin that she was living a miserable life.
But who let her inexplicably hate him and refuse his help? She was a woman who didn't know what was good for her.
Jeremy couldn't quite express his thoughts about Olivia. Three years ago, they weren't that close, but because of Winnie, she often contacted him and stuck by his side.
Jeremy naturally assumed that this woman liked him.
He didn't expect her to dismiss it so easily. It bothered him for the past three years, and he always felt a hint of regret.
"What are you thinking about? You're daydreaming?" Lynn asked cautiously, as if coaxing him.
Jeremy was taken aback, his handsome features stiffened. Damn, why was he thinking about that irrelevant woman?
He already had Lynn, and he was more grateful to her for saving his life that night.
"It's nothing, let's go, let's eat." Jeremy's expression was indifferent as he held her hand and walked inside.
Lynn pressed herself closer to his body, blocking his attention and gaze.
It wasn't until the private room door closed that a trace of gloom flashed in Lynn's eyes. Finally, Jeremy didn't see Olivia and her daughter!
Damn it, why was Olivia wandering around expensive places when she had no money?
He must not let Jeremy find out about Mia's appearance...
Lynn pondered, she must successfully marry Jeremy, and as for Olivia, she shouldn't be a hindrance!
-
Olivia was getting anxious and was about to go to the service desk to make a public announcement for a missing person.
Suddenly, a small figure appeared from behind the crowd.
The small figure chased after her for a few meters and with a tender and warm child's voice, shouted, "Beautiful auntie! I'm here."
Olivia turned around and saw Oscar, dressed neatly and composedly. She froze for a moment.
This arrogant little guy called her 'beautiful auntie'?
She took a deep breath and quickly ran back, squatting in front of Oscar while holding her daughter. She looked him up and down, almost rolling her eyes, "Where did you go? Oscar, we were riding the train just fine. Auntie knows you don't like childish games, but your sister wants to ride. If you don't want to ride, you should have told Auntie..."
Oscar's lips curved slightly, his almond eyes shining black. Seeing Olivia struggling to hold her daughter, he took the initiative to reach out and held two-year-old Mia, apologizing responsibly, "It was my negligence, Auntie. I'm sorry. I went to the restroom and didn't have time to tell you. I won't do that next time."
"... " Olivia was somewhat horrified, her eyebrows raised.
She carefully examined the handsome Oscar, and if it weren't for his face and clothes, she would have almost felt like she was with a different person.
Her three-and-a-half-year-old brother, slender and handsome, holding the chubby two-year-old girl, obviously still
It was a bit challenging for Oscar. He lowered his head and saw his little sister looking at him with wide eyes, drooling.
Such an adorable little girl. He gently touched her soft hair and asked, "Sister, where else do you want to go to play? Shall I accompany you?"
Mia blinked her eyes and cheered, "Oscar, do you like me? Mommy, Oscar is so handsome, even more handsome than earlier..."
"Do you want to marry Oscar when you grow up?"
Oscar smirked, innocent and naive. He learned these words naturally from the television and used them appropriately.
He deeply knew that his face was quite charming.
Olivia: "..."
Staring at Oscar's warm smile, she finally understood Winnie's frustration. The switch in personalities was just too fast.
She quickly took out her phone and hesitated before sending a message to Winnie.
It was 5 o'clock in the afternoon, but Winnie hadn't replied to her message.
In the CEO's office, nearing the end of the workday.
Lawrence R closed the file, a cold and stern expression flashing across his face.
In the morning, Darcy slapped Winnie again...
He had to step in for her in this matter.
Frowning, he stood up, grabbed his suit jacket, and pressed the intercom to instruct the driver, "Bring the car out, I'm going to Halbina Apartments!"
Halbina Apartments was the woman's address.
