Chapter 105 Winnie Escapes from the Villa
The assistant lowered his head and looked at the photo—it was Winnie. His expression flickered slightly as he glanced up at Darcy.
Darcy had been planning this for a while. Despite her youth, her methods were truly ruthless.
Darcy looked down at the cars outside, which looked like tiny ants, as if she was watching Winnie.
Similarly, she smirked and said, "I have to help Winnie escape from the villa."
“You go and check the detached house where the CEO of Imperial Jewelry's mother lives, on the doctor's day off."
The assistant quickly acknowledged the instruction.
Darcy chuckled and thought about something. She said, "Go buy me a phone with an unknown number."
On the sixth day, Taylor continued to deliver meals to Mrs. L. The detached house where Madam Rodriguez lived was located behind the golf course, quite far from the main villa.
Originally, Mr. L had considered Madam Rodriguez's peaceful recovery when choosing that location, where the forest had extremely high oxygen levels.
But now, things have changed, Mrs. L was locked up by Mr. L, and Madam Rodriguez couldn't possibly know. The two were separated by the staff.
Today, the doctor attending to Madam Rodriguez's doctor was on leave, and Grace was reassigned there.
During lunchtime, Madam Rodriguez was in good condition. She went upstairs to rest and received a phone call from an unknown number, looking like a telemarketer.
Madam Rodriguez answered with a friendly tone, "Hello?"
"Godmother~" Darcy's sweet voice came through the line.
Yet, in an instant, the sound triggered a chord deep in Madam Rodriguez's fragmented memory. A voice in her head warned her of danger – this voice akin to venomous snake , must be avoided.
Suppressing a faint smile, Madam Rodriguez asked, "Darcy, do you need something?"
"Just wanted to ask why you dislike me so much, causing Mr. L to never marry me. He keeps no one in his heart, and anyone he marries is just a wife. Do you know the inconvenience you have caused, old woman? Are you afraid of me because of my involvement in that incident… when I pushed the girl who liked Mr. L?"
"Ah!" Madam Rodriguez didn't know what she was saying, only that this was a girl who frightened her. Was this even a girl? Her heart was like a venomous scorpion.
What had she done? Madam Rodriguez couldn't remember, but she knew her head throbbed painfully, and she felt a compelling urge to distance herself from this source of danger.
Taking a sharp breath, Madam Rodriguez experienced a sudden tightening in her chest, her complexion gradually paling.
Quietly, Darcy listened to her having a seizure, then calmly hung up the phone, smirking.
She instructed her assistant, "Madam Rodriguez is having a seizure. Keep an eye on the commotion over at the villa. as the chaos escalates, Winnie will become aware."
Madam Rodriguez had a seizure, and chaos ensued in the detached house.
Grace hurriedly attempted to notify Mr. L, but his phone went unanswered. He could be in a meeting now as it is working hours!
She couldn't understand. Just at lunchtime, Madam Rodriguez had eaten two bowls of food and had been improving these past few days. How could her epilepsy suddenly resurface?
With the doctor’s absence that day, everyone was in a mess. There weren't enough staff members, so some of the servants hurriedly went to the main villa to seek help.
Just as Taylor finished delivering food to Mrs. L, the landline phone suddenly rang. She dashed downstairs to answer.
"The bedroom door upstairs is not closed,” exclaimed Taylor. Winnie walked out slowly and heard Taylor shouting, "How could Madam Rodriguez be sick? The doctor isn’t here, what should we do? Is she having a seizure?"
"What? What happened to Mom?" Winnie's eyes widened as she quickly asked.
Taylor turned around, "Mrs. L, I must go to the detached building to assess the situation. Please remain here and don’t wander.”
"Let me go and check. If Mom is indeed in such a state, it’s a serious matter," Winnie hurriedly grabbed her first aid kit from her room and concealed it in her clothes.
Taylor didn't have time to stop her, so she took her on the electric scooter and drove to the detached building.
It was almost dusk, and the weather was gloomy. Winnie rushed into the detached building. This was her second time coming here, so she knew the way and made her way to Madam Rodriguez's room.
Inside, chaos consumed the servants, and the nurse hesitated to approach. Winnie ordered, "All of you, wait outside. I will administer emergency treatment."
No one dared to disobey Mrs. L's order, so they all went outside, and Winnie immediately closed the door.
Madam Rodriguez's face was pale as she lay on the bed, with foam coming out of the corner of her mouth. Given the complexities of her various illnesses, Mr. L didn't have time to explain them all to her. This sudden epileptic episode, however, fell within Winnie's expertise in dry needling. Swiftly, she administrated treatment and also fed her a sedative pill developed by her mother.
After half an hour, the foaming subsided, as did Madam Rodriguez’s convulsions.
Winnie knew that the situation had temporarily stabilized, but there was likely a neurological condition in Madam Rodriguez's brain.
Without knowing the specifics of the illness, Winnie could only continue to apply needles to safe acupoints, coordinating with a ventilator, causing Madam Rodriguez to fall into a peaceful sleep.
Winnie remained by her side for over an hour and then put away her first aid kit before calling in the nurse waiting outside.
Madam Rodriguez was temporarily out of danger.
"When will the doctor arrive?" she asked the nurse.
"The doctor has been notified and is expected within an hour," replied the nurse.
Winnie sighed in relief and walked out of the detached building. There was no one on the lawn; everyone was concerned about Madam Rodriguez's condition and have gathered upstairs.
Winnie looked at the empty mansion estate. Behind the separate building was a road that led to the entrance and exit, and the electric scooter key was still inserted.
She had been trapped here for six days. Maybe she missed the fresh air outside too much, or perhaps it was her instinct for survival. A sudden idea flashed through her mind.
She got on the electric scooter.
Desperation to escape gripped her. She wanted to get out, no matter where she went, as long as she left the estate.
The electric scooter quickly drove out, and the security guard stationed by the gate suddenly discovered that Mrs. L was gone.
Everyone panicked and realized that Mrs. L had escaped through the back door entrance.
Taylor's face turned pale with anxiety, and she immediately called Mr. L.
At that moment, Mr. L had just finished a lengthy meeting and was returning from the northern district to the city center.
Listening to the details of the phone call, he grasped the gravity if the situation...
His mother’s illness and Mrs. L’s escape. Hi gaze turned glacial, laced with chill.
Darcy lounged in her chair, swaying her slender legs, a smile flickering in her eyes. "Where do think Winnie drove off to?"
"I believe she is headed to her best friend Olivia's house," the assistant whispered, immediately handing over a map with the location of Olivia's mansion marked.
Darcy's eyes glistened with a toxic edge "It's getting dark. I remember there's a construction site along this road. Force her there, make that family act quickly. I want to see her dead and buried today! Mr. L is in a meeting in the north district, far away from the south. Even if he receives a call, he'll go see his mother first. Winnie's escape will only enrage him... How could he go and find her."
The assistant immediately made several phone calls.
Darcy's heart was pounding intensely, waiting with a smile.
Winnie's electric scooter couldn't get on the main road and was stopped by a traffic officer, still some distance away from Olivia's house.
She had been kept in the dark these past few days, coming out with no money and her phone taken away.
The night was dark, gloomy, and the mist seemed to wet her eyes as well.
In fact, she didn't want to escape, just wanted to hide at Olivia's house first. She knew he would definitely look for her, and Olivia's house was at least safe. He couldn't force his way in, she would call the police.
This bastard... He made her so scared. In fact, after hearing Benjamin's words during the banquet, she had softened.
But he repeatedly misunderstood, even restricting her, how could this relationship continue?
Maybe when they meet again, they can talk it out and then break up...
Just thinking about those two words, there was a hint of reluctance, and her heart throbbed with pain.
Winnie blinked her trembling eyelashes, and a passerby extended their phone and asked her, "Are you still waiting?"
