Chapter 727 Don't Cry, Winnie
This jerk, even with his issues down there, still hadn't changed his sleazy ways.
She was fuming and snapped, "That was ages ago. We're done. I have a husband now."
Lawrence's eyes darkened even more. He smirked, "Doesn't matter. On your wedding day, you were in my bed, Winnie. Remember? I doubt you could forget. We were up all night..."
"Shut up." Winnie turned red with anger.
Her stunning beauty and perfect features glowed under the light, making Lawrence's heart race. He knew every inch of her body, and his temperature spiked. He reached out, his long fingers brushing her cheek.
Winnie's heart skipped a beat at his touch; those memories were etched into her.
She hated her body's reaction and muttered angrily, "Lawrence, what do you want? Don't mess around. Sidney's sleeping right next to us. If you try anything, I'll bite you. And you can't even do anything anymore. Can't you just behave?"
Lawrence's hand froze, like she'd hit a nerve.
His face went pale.
Winnie bit her lip. Was she too harsh? Guys were super sensitive about that stuff. "I didn't mean to insult you, but you're really pushing it!"
"It's fine. Since you know my situation, you shouldn't worry. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't do anything to you." Lawrence frowned, his eyes burning. He lightly touched the corner of her mouth, his charm undeniable. "You said you'd bite me? That just makes me remember the taste, Winnie."
Winnie thought he was being a jerk.
His words were cryptic, but she got it. In the quiet night, it felt like he was teasing her. Her face turned crimson, and she shot back, "Just shut up, will you? Even now, you can't behave. Stay away from me. You're still a man, so stop talking nonsense."
"I'm not a man anymore," Lawrence said coldly.
Winnie was speechless. He shouldn't be so down. It could still be cured.
"You're a doctor, Winnie. Don't believe me? Check it out. I was impulsive just now." Lawrence leaned weakly against her, holding her small hand, and said softly, "But there's no reaction. Remember when you first came back, you cured me once? Could you be kind again and treat me like a regular guy?"
"No way!" Winnie was stunned. How could Lawrence be so shameless?
Who knew if he wanted treatment or was just flirting?
Besides, how could he be a regular guy? They'd been together countless times.
Winnie's face turned red with embarrassment and anger. She pushed him away and growled, "How dare you ask me to treat you? Have you forgotten our grudge? You deserve your problem. It's better if you don't flirt with other women."
"I don't want to flirt with other women. I just want to flirt with you. Without you, I don't need treatment." Lawrence smiled bitterly, lowering his eyes, his handsome face falling.
Winnie looked at his thick, drooping eyelashes. He seemed so defeated, going from a flirt to a pitiful figure. She blinked. Was Lawrence really getting good at playing the sympathy card lately?
Or was she just imagining it? Did he actually seem pitiful?
Winnie opened her mouth, looking at his lonely and restrained appearance, suddenly at a loss for words.
If he didn't sleep with her, did he not need the ability to have sex?
Her face darkened. After a moment, she coughed softly, "You don't have to be so down. What I said earlier was out of anger. I won't treat you, but the doctor I recommended is good. With modern medicine, your issue isn't permanent. Maybe they can cure it."
Seeing her soften, Lawrence put on a melancholic act and hugged her, "I don't know why. Clearly, you're tempting me, and I want to be with you, but there's no reaction."
"Who's tempting you?" Winnie was furious. "Get away from me."
"No." Lawrence shamelessly leaned on her pillow, his broad embrace radiating warmth. He drooped his eyes even more. "I'm so pitiful now, with this problem. Just let me hold you. It's so hard to see you, Winnie."
His pitiful eyes didn't match his strong muscles.
Winnie clicked her tongue. The touch felt the same as before; he was still strong, and his body temperature was high.
She was puzzled about his issue.
While she was in a daze, Lawrence gently cupped her face, "You're touching me."
Cursing inside, she should kick him hard in that place.
Seeing her about to get angry, Lawrence's deep eyes dimmed. He gently tidied her hair and said hoarsely, "I'm not joking. I'm afraid I'll accidentally show my pain. Winnie, God knows how much I want to pursue you, to love you again, but I'm afraid I can't make you happy. I'm begging you, please. Divorce Rock. Even if you find any decent man, I can bear it. I won't bother you, but Rock, he's not right!"
"Don't be ridiculous." Winnie frowned, looking at him in confusion.
What did he mean, any man would be better than Rock? It made her uncomfortable.
Winnie asked, "Why do you always interfere with me and him? Lawrence, marriage isn't like your engagements with Ishara and Darcy, where you can call it off on the wedding day. I'm serious, okay?"
Lawrence's cold face turned embarrassed by her sarcasm, "Winnie, listen to me."
"Don't piss me off. Do you think I can marry and divorce at will? I've already been married twice because of you. Do you want me to divorce and remarry multiple times to make you happy? I'm still carrying the shame of being taken away at my wedding by you. You don't care, but my reputation was ruined. I've already lost my honor because of you." Winnie's eyes turned red with hatred, glaring at him.
Lawrence wanted to kiss her hard, his heart aching as if it would break. "Don't cry, Winnie."
"It's all your fault." Winnie sobbed.
"It's all my fault." Lawrence slowly reached for her small hand.
Winnie dodged, not falling for his tricks. "Lawrence, I beg you, stop interfering in my life. I've finally decided to live well with Rock." Her voice was weak and aggrieved.
She hated entangling with him, listening to his brainwashing, making her conscience suffer.
Hearing her determination, Lawrence felt his heart sink even more. "Winnie, have you forgotten what I warned you about last time? I said Rock is not a simple man."
