Chapter 638 Let's Go Visit Daddy
Skylar was momentarily stunned, collapsing in the hallway and breaking into tears. "Sean, my son! It's all your father's fault for not listening to Lawrence's advice. Now it's too late, and you've been turned into a fool by that Mars. Damn Mars!"
"I'm going to kill Mars! I want to kill those heartless people in the Peterson family! Our Rodriguez family helped the Peterson family so much before. Hellen, where is Hellen? Amy, ask Hellen to come!" Anday pounded his chest and leaned against the wall in despair.
Amy appeared helpless, her eyes red with distress. She had no idea of Hellen's whereabouts. Ever since the Rodriguez Group encountered difficulties, Hellen had been in hiding. Despite Bob falling ill, she hadn't showed up. Hellen's loyalty had shifted entirely towards the Peterson family.
"Uncle Anday, I..." Amy was also sad.

At eight in the morning, Sidney saw Uncle Ray and Uncle Benjamin with red eyes. He hid behind the door, listening to Bryan explain things to the two uncles. From the fragments of conversation, Sidney pieced together the terrible news that Lawrence had been arrested by the police. The Rodriguez Group had plummeted overnight since yesterday, and the chip contract breach was being reported by global media. Even though Sidney didn't understand business, he knew that the company of his Grandpa was in big trouble, and Lawrence was in big trouble! He also heard that Uncle Jeremy was also missing!
He was at a loss, missing where Winnie was, and unable to contact her, and didn't know what to do. The only person he could talk to was Oscar. Instinctively, he called Oscar. He knew Lawrence had returned, but why didn't he bring Winnie back? Where had he taken Winnie, and what had he done to her? For a whole month, Oscar didn't know if Winnie had been harmed. Back then, when he negotiated with Lawrence, it was to disrupt the wedding and bring Winnie out. But he never asked Lawrence to selfishly hide Winnie away. Oscar was furious.
"Sidney, I'm not going to the police station," Oscar replied.
"Why?" Sidney's voice cracked. "Are you still mad at Daddy? Mad that he hurt Mommy?"
"Even if I don't blame him for hurting Mommy before, we don't know if he hurt her again this past month," Oscar said, his tone cold and rational. He glanced at the small computer hidden under his desk, tracking Patrick and Ishara's movements.
Over the past month, Oscar had pieced together the situation. Carlos had been shot and left comatose by Patrick. The Blanchet family company was now under Patrick's control. Two months ago, Winnie had tried to steal Patrick's hair but was nearly killed by him. In the end, it was Lawrence who saved her.
Oscar couldn't understand why Winnie would risk stealing Patrick's hair. But after that incident, Winnie successfully performed surgery on Carlos, and Patrick seemed wary, not daring to harm Carlos again.
Through careful inquiries at Leo's place, Oscar uncovered a shocking secret during one of Leo's drunken moments. Ishara was not Carlos's biological daughter; she was Patrick's illegitimate child! Oscar immediately understood that Winnie wanted to steal Patrick's hair to expose Patrick and Ishara! Patrick, afraid of this, had reached a truce with Winnie.
But now Winnie was missing, the Rodriguez family had fallen, and Ishara would be desperate to secure her position in the Blanchet family. Patrick might take this opportunity to harm Carlos again. Oscar, being very smart, assigned himself a small task. He had to protect Carlos while Winnie was away so that she wouldn't be heartbroken when she was rescued.
"Sidney, I need to keep an eye on Grandpa's safety. It's not that I don't want to go with you to see Daddy. Don't be sad. Sidney's sobbing stopped, finally feeling comforted. "Alright, I'll go with Uncle Ray to see Daddy. I'll just assume you still care a little bit about Daddy. Oscar, thank you for considering the whole situation. Without you, I wouldn't know how to protect Grandpa. By the way, what is it that you need to get from Ishara?"
'Amniotic fluid,' Oscar thought but didn't say it out. He gently comforted Sidney, "You grew up with Daddy, so your feelings for him are naturally deeper. I understand how much you're suffering, Sidney. Even if I hate him, I won't stop you from caring about him. We each have our roles. I'll take care of Mommy, so you don't have to worry about her."
