Chapter 896 Heartbroken

This woman... Maybe he had just put her on a pedestal, thought she was too perfect, too pure. In reality, she was open and promiscuous, playing both of them. Did she feel accomplished by that?

How shameless!

This ended here. Whoever's kid she was carrying, he wouldn't care about her mess anymore!

Jeremy stood up straight, his tall and lean figure like a sharp sword. His taut muscles under his shirt exuded a cold aura that made everyone around him uneasy.

Chris and the nurse didn't dare to breathe.

If anyone ever told them again that a man with glasses was gentle and refined, they'd lose it!

The Jeremy in front of them, handsome as he was, was the embodiment of terror.

Jeremy didn't cause any collateral damage. Before leaving, he just glanced at Chris and sneered, "You better not have lied, or I'll ruin you and your family."

Chris, hiding behind the desk, trembled slightly. God, Olivia had him by the throat!

Seeing that Jeremy believed him, Chris hurriedly nodded, "It's true, it's true."

Jeremy's breathing calmed.

Whatever, who hasn't been blind in love with a bad woman or two?

He hoped it was his child, but it was just him giving himself false hope. How ridiculous!

If she wanted to be with Sam for the rest of her life, he couldn't care less. He wished her and Sam a miserable life together. She'd never find happiness.

With immense hatred, he left the hospital.

He went back to that bar alone, got drunk out of his mind, and even fought with several bartenders, causing the police to show up. The scene was chaotic.

In the end, Ray showed up with a grim face and hurriedly grabbed the madman.

"Nobody leave! Tell me, why isn't that child mine..."

"Jeremy!" Ray saw him still clutching the police officer's sleeve and lost his patience, landing a punch on him.

Jeremy's glasses flew off, revealing a pair of drunken, narrow eyes, lonely and slightly wounded.

"You're so childish. Haven't you ever been heartbroken?" Ray yelled at him, full of anger.

"Heartbroken? I almost became a father, hoping to use that as an excuse to marry her, but it wasn't mine... it wasn't mine..."

"And the most ironic part is, the child is Sam's. Again, Sam's!"

Couldn't she get involved with another man? Why Sam, that thug? What's so good about him?

Olivia, you're so frivolous, you deserve your miserable life, you deserve three years of..."

"Enough! Shut up." Ray couldn't listen anymore, even though he knew little about the situation.

But seeing Winnie's expression these past few days, Olivia probably had her own troubles.

"How did you end up like this after leaving the hospital? How much did you drink?" Ray was overwhelmed by the smell of alcohol.

"Can't I drink if I'm heartbroken? Let me drink myself to death."

"Pathetic! Never been in love before, and you're the heir to the DeRoss Family. It's embarrassing!" Ray bent down and hoisted him up. "Fuck, you're all muscle, and I can't even carry you."

Dragging and pulling, Ray finally got the drunken Jeremy to the car at the door.

Jeremy stumbled several times, leaning against the car and vomiting without any regard for his image.

Ray looked at his newly bought car, his face twitching with anger, "Get off!"

"Jeremy, I'm telling you, don't act like this. Is the sky falling?"

"If it's not your kid, then it's not. I'm older than you, am I panicking? I don't even care if Laura has a kid or not..." Ray trailed off, frowning deeply. He didn't love Laura; he loved Darcy, but Laura had become an untouchable thorn in his heart.

Laura finally couldn't stand his bad temper and sent him divorce papers.

For half a year, she disappeared, determined to avoid him for the rest of her life.

No energy, no strength.

Seeing Jeremy's drunken state, Ray felt a pang of guilt, a hollow feeling in his heart.

He took a deep breath, pushing aside his personal feelings, and continued to shout, "Now Lawrence has an unborn daughter waiting to be rescued. We have to help him. If you fall apart halfway, all the Rodriguez Family's issues will fall on me... Hey, are you crying?"

He saw Jeremy's rigid body slumped against the car door, motionless.

That handsome, devilish profile in the shadows, with heavy eyelids, looked pitiful. For a moment, Ray almost thought he was crying.

"Are you really that weak? Is Olivia that important to you?"

Jeremy was confused, his heart aching so much he could hardly breathe. At that moment, he felt like he couldn't bear it.

"I don't know. When did she become so important?"

His low sigh made Ray realize he was truly in love, deeply.

Logically, how could he still care about a woman tainted by Sam for three years? Didn't he find it disgusting?

Or maybe he knew Olivia before, and their ambiguous relationship, forbidden love, made it even more intense?

He didn't understand, didn't understand.

Matters of the heart, if Ray understood them, he wouldn't have lost Laura.

Ray's mind flashed with Laura's cold, beautiful face, and he was instantly alarmed.

"Alright, cry this one time, and then move on from this relationship."

"Jeremy, I see you really like Mia, and you just wanted a child with Olivia."

"But you were greatly disappointed, and Olivia gave you a harsh slap in the face. It's normal to hate her."

"When you sober up, just forget about her. Save yourself the heartache."

Jeremy felt his heart ache the most at that moment. He was unwilling.

He laughed coldly, hoping that when he sobered up tomorrow, he could completely forget Olivia. That child was a mockery in his heart; she should get rid of it as soon as possible!

After that, he would find a loyal, clean woman and have a child of his own.

Olivia would eventually become a thing of the past in his mind.

Everything seemed so perfect.

Jeremy thought he was a proud man. How could he not achieve that?!

Drunk, he slumped into the car, his arm over his eyes, blocking the streetlight from revealing the pain in his eyes... He deleted all of Olivia's social media accounts and contact information from his phone.

From now on, he wouldn't see Olivia again.

Ray watched his actions, his face darkening again. He had to admit that Jeremy, who had never been in love, was truly naive.

He shook his head, deliberately driving the car erratically, speeding down the road.

The wild ride made Jeremy unable to bear it, and he finally passed out, falling into a deep sleep...
