Chapter 392 Punishing Darcy

Lawrence finally understood the gravity of it all. The night when Winnie jumped into the sea with their other son, of the sea jump, Darcy had instigated three years of hatred between him and Winnie, causing both children to be born prematurely and weak. It was an unforgivable crime.  With everything laid bare and no room to maneuver, Darcy knew that Lawrence would not believe any further explanations. She had exhausted her tactics, and her fate had caught up with her. She gritted her teeth and let out a twisted laugh.   "Yes, it was all my doing. I thought you were meant to be mine. I even invested , that I’d spent too many years on you. Why should I endure her stealing your love from me? I did all this just to make you look at me more, to make you marry me!"”  Darcy looked at him and continued, "“Love is all that mattered. Why did I listen to you obediently and still end up in this situation today? Haha... I love you, but you, Lawrence... you never fell in love with me, I know that."”  She spat out, "“You only had eyes for that this woman, so I won't let Winnie off the hook either. I refuse to accept it, and you shouldn't expect to have a happy family with her either!"   "Ah-"  Winnie gripped the Darcy by the neck, ’s distorted woman, her anger reaching its peak as she coldly asked, her voice laced with menace, "So what did you do to Oscar?"  Darcy momentarily froze, a guilty conscience surfacing. But when she saw the almost crumbling expression on Winnie's face, she smirked and said, "What's wrong? Haven't found your child yet?"  "Did you hide him? Hand him over!" Winnie shouted as she tightened , her grip on Darcy's throat.gripping her by the throat.  Darcy wanted to gloat, but before she could say anything, Lawrence pulled Winnie away. and He then crouched down to meet her eyes, his intimidating presence looming over her.  "You have one minute to tell me where Oscar is."  Darcy stared into his menacing eyes and trembled fiercely.  Unbeknownst to her, someone had intercepted her. She was clueless about the whereabouts of that child, whether he was alive or dead. Darcy bit her lip, forcing herself to withstand the pressure.,  Darcy bit her lip and forced herself to withstand the pressure.  Lawrence, impatient, stood up and called the bodyguards outside,, "Bring Darcy to the operating room."  "Lawrence?" Darcy was stunned, a wave of unease washing over her.  Lawrence spoke slowly and harshly, his face showing no emotion.Lawrence enunciated slowly, harshly, his face devoid of any emotion. "Darcy, it's time for you to repay the kidney you owe my mother."  "No..." Darcy trembled, horror filled her eyes as she screamed, "Lawrence, you can't illegally harvest organs! You can't harm me unlawfully!"  Lawrence simply looked down upon at her, his gaze icy. "After what you did to my mother and child, sparing your life is already a generous act. You must repay the pain my mother endured."  Darcy fell into despair. Before she could struggle or fight back, two bodyguards lifted her and dragged her toward the operating room. Crying and screaming, she fainted on the spot.  Winnie's eyes were filled with sheer terror as she looked at Lawrence.Winnie looked at Lawrence with a look of sheer terror in her eyes.   The man stood outside the operating room, smoking silently, his cold silhouette cast in darkness as he smoked silently, not uttering a word.  The kidney extraction was swift. Within two hours, Darcy, now one kidney lighter, was carried out the room.  She was consumed by extreme fear, trembling uncontrollably.

Lawrence calmly pressed her again for information., "Will you tell me where Oscar is now?"  And in that moment, Darcy, with one kidney missing, truly believed that this terrifying man might actually end her life.  The reason he only took one kidney and spared her life was because she "held the whereabouts of Oscar."   Darcy's eyes were filled with agony when she pale and painful eyes suddenly uunderstood the meaning of the anonymous message that was sent to her earlier: "[You still have a chance at survival."]  She held her abdomen, weakly staring at Lawrence with a malevolent, ice-cold smile. "Who knows where he is, whether dead or alive, missing limbs? I really have no idea. If you want to ask, I won't tell you.""Who knows where he is! Dead or alive, missing limbs? I really have no idea. Want to ask? I won't tell you."  Winnie's eyes were filled with immense hatred, wishing she could crush her if it weren't for Darcy lying on the operating table.  Lawrence clenched his fists, his pupils gaze darkening, as he forcefully gripped Darcy’s throat. "Do you want to lose your second kidney?"  Darcy wasn't without fear; her gaze trembled. She knew all too well that if both her kidneys were taken, she would die.  "If I die, your son will forever be missing! You won't even find his body, haha,." Thethe woman said with a maniacal laugh laughed maniacally;, her voice hoarse.  Winnie turned her head, closed her eyes in pain, and tears silently streamed down her face.  Lawrence coldly instructed Luke, "Keep an eye on her and have the police interrogate her every day!"  Tenderly holding the distraught Winnie, he began to walk away slowly.  Darcy was pushed back into the hospital room, guarded by bodyguards.  Not long after, she learned from a nurse that Lawrence had publicly announced through the media that he had completely severed ties with her, ending their relationship, and had initiated a crackdown on the Ordelia Group in Trento City.

Rumors spread like wildfire throughout the city, asserting that she had been abandoned by Lawrence, and her phone buzzed incessantly with calls from the upper echelons, both questioning and mocking her.  This series of negative news made Darcy grind her teeth. But it was still not as hateful as suddenly losing one kidney had been. But it was still not as hateful as suddenly losing one kidney!   Nonetheless, iBut in the end, she had managed to save her life thanks to Oscar's the anonymous message.  Amidst her hazy pain, she narrowed her eyes, unable to resist pondering the identity of the person who had mysteriously aided her. They were formidable, orchestrating a masterful trick that resulted in her losing Oscar but having to shoulder the blame. Yet, they had also hidden the truth of Oscar being intercepted, ultimately enabling her to continue her life with Lawrence. It was, in essence, a glimmer of hope.In the midst of Darcy's hazy pain, she squinted and couldn't help but think about the person behind her.  Who exactly was she? So formidable, playing a masterful trick that caused her to lose Oscar but had to take the blame. At the same time, she concealed the truth of Oscar being intercepted, which allowed her to retain her life with Lawrence. So, it's called a glimmer of hope.  This person caused her to completely reveal her true colors in front of Lawrence and used a child to intensify the conflict between Lawrence and Winnie.  After all, losing a child, whether dead or missing, would greatly hurt the bond between them. , right?  This strategy seemed to serve multiple purposes, and Darcy sensed that this anonymous person appeared to be a woman.‘she’ appeared to be a woman,  A chilling sensationcold shiver crept down Darcy’s spine as she narrowed her eyes, contemplating her unseen adversary.  -  One day, two days, three days...  After several days passed by, tThe police found Oscar's small fingerprints in the abandoned house where he had been abducted, along with faint footprints in the forest.   It proved that Oscar had left that room house that night. They followed the footprints which led them to the road at the base of the mountain, but then lost the trail.  Jeremy and his men searched the mountain, expanding their search range to the entire Lymington, above and below ground. But they found nothing.  Meanwhile, the police subjected Darcy to daily interrogations at the hospital, utilizing various techniques, but making little headway.  Darcy maintained her stance, insisting that she had lost the child, and Oscar’s whereabouts remained a mystery. She did not reveal the route or any clues she could provide.  Winnie was becoming increasingly desperate.  She firmly remembered Darcy’s words which was echoing in her mind: "“You can’t even find his body.."”  A body“  "Moummy." In the hospital corridor, Sidney stood pale and silent.  Winnie snapped back to attention, clasping her trembling fingertips hands together in a bid to forceand forcing herself to regain composure. She smiled and said“, "Sidney, why ’don'’t you come over here?"“  "Grandma wants you to come over. She said she has something to give you." Sidney pressed his lips together, brows furrowed, his teary and red eyes revealing his distress.
