Chapter 940 Elopement

Katerina's eyes widened as she stumbled back, barely caught by a maid. She stared at Jeremy's determined gaze, her lips trembling with anger as she pointed at Olivia, who was tightly held by him. "Are you... running away together? This is insane! You might get away now, but you can't hide forever. If you go through with this, the DeRoss Family will be in serious trouble because of you!"

Jeremy had thought about the consequences, but right now, he didn't care.

When Lawrence caused a scene at Winnie's wedding, it shocked all of Veridiania and became the talk of the town.

Jeremy wasn't trying to copy him; he just felt that life was too short not to go a little crazy, to live for himself at least once!

No matter what this behavior represented or what consequences it might bring.

If he had to choose between power and his lover, maybe... deep down, he had already fallen deeply in love with Olivia.

As for Louis... Jeremy's thin lips tightened, and his cold, deep-set eyes seemed to sink into an abyss.

He no longer paid attention to the wealthy guests in the church who were pointing and whispering. They had nothing to do with him or Olivia.

Their world didn't need anyone else's interference!

Jeremy, exuding an aura of cold determination, seemed unstoppable as he dragged Olivia out of the church in just a few strides. None of the DeRoss Family's bodyguards dared to chase after them, all too intimidated by his presence. Jeremy was known for his decisive and unyielding nature.

Jeremy's unstoppable momentum left Winnie with her mouth agape. She couldn't think of how to stop Olivia in time, and in the end, she watched as Jeremy 'abducted' Olivia!

Jeremy was so reckless. Just like Lawrence back then...

Winnie stood there, trying to steady her racing heart. She watched Olivia's delicate figure being thrown onto a helicopter by Jeremy and sighed deeply, though her emotions were secretly bubbling with excitement.

"Mommy... Mommy! I want to go too! I want to go with you and Daddy!"

Mia, standing beside her, stomped her little feet in frustration and took a few steps forward, almost tripping as she crossed the church threshold.

Ray nudged Winnie.

Winnie snapped out of her daze and quickly picked up Mia by her soft collar. She knelt down and brushed the dust off Mia's tear-streaked face. "Mia..."

"Ms. Anderson, please help me call Mommy back! It is great, Daddy is a real hero. He caught Sam today, and now that no one is marrying my mommy, he kindly married her himself!"

Silly girl, he didn't marry her out of kindness.

It was all premeditated, and no one saw it coming.

When Olivia was about to marry Sam, Jeremy was cold and furious.

Winnie almost thought Jeremy would marry Lynn to get back at Olivia.

Thinking about Jeremy's domineering behavior at the wedding just now...

Winnie couldn't help but smirk and whispered to Ray, giving a thumbs up. "Jeremy is really something. I never thought the wedding would turn out like this. What a surprise! He couldn't hold back any longer!"

Ray also gave a wry smile, looking at Olivia with a mix of helplessness and disdain. "Jeremy must have been going crazy! He was so deep and brooding before the wedding. Damn, I threatened him that Olivia was getting married, and he didn't even react. I thought he was giving up... Olivia finally got him to take a step forward."

"No, Jeremy's already taken ninety-nine steps forward. I gotta hand it to him. He hated Olivia so much, yet he still went after her. As a guy, his emotional intelligence is pretty high. He knows he has to fight for the woman he loves. Honestly, I think he's got more emotional intelligence than you and Lawrence."

Ray was speechless.

Weren't we just criticizing Jeremy together? What's with you suddenly praising him and dragging Lawrence into it?

If it weren't for the fact that she had recently done something great, Ray would have snapped back at her.

Swallowing his anger, Ray glanced at Winnie and took the crying Mia from her arms.

Ray, usually so tough, softened his tone as he patted Mia's head. "Mia, don't cry. Your mommy and Jeremy have eloped. Isn't that a good thing? If you want them to really get married and give you a home, you need to give them some time!"

Winnie nodded, holding Mia's face with a sly smile. "Don't worry, Mia. I don't think your daddy would hurt your mommy. If he dared to do this at the wedding, he's already taken a huge risk. For your mommy, he's probably going to face a lot of bad consequences... Your mommy will be fine. If anything happens, I promise I'll help reunite you all."

Ray squinted and asked in a low voice, "When will the paternity test results be delivered to you?"

"The courier should be landing soon. It should take no more than an hour and a half to get here from the airport."

Ray glanced at Mia and said, "Then you take Mia and go after them. I'll go pick up the courier."

Winnie shook her head, her sharp eyes scanning the chaotic wedding scene. Katerina, supported by a maid, stood to the side, her beautiful face pale and silent.

Next to Katerina, the DeRoss Family relatives were pointing and gossiping.

Winnie sighed softly. "It's peaceful now because Louis isn't here. He's at the police station. Look at the DeRoss Family elders; they must be scolding Jeremy, which is why Katerina looks so bad. Jeremy left, and we have to stay here to handle any potential changes, at least to protect them for a while."

Ray's mind wasn't as quick as hers, but after thinking for a moment, he agreed.

When your best friend elopes at their wedding, someone has to clean up the mess.

He rubbed his straight nose and raised an eyebrow. "I bet when Louis finds out what Jeremy did, there'll be a storm of fury!"

"That's why we need to stay here and gather information." Winnie held Mia's hand, her eyes filled with a gentle happiness. "I hope those two don't have any internal conflicts. If they have any emotional issues, they need to be honest with each other and handle them well."

"That depends on whether Olivia can open up." Ray snorted.

Winnie snorted back at him. "Don't just blame us women. Jeremy needs to drop his prickly attitude first. What woman can stand a man who's moody and angry all the time?"

"He's only like that because Olivia pushed him." Ray stubbornly believed it was Olivia's fault for hiding things.

Winnie was so angry she didn't want to talk to this stubborn man anymore.

The helicopter roared around Lymington Bay, the frequent turbulence and cold wind blowing through the open windows making Olivia almost throw up several times.

She covered her pale mouth, sneaking glances at Jeremy, who sat beside her, unmoving.
