Chapter 776 A Look of Pain
When Melanie looked up, she saw Bentley's gaze, and there was a hint of darkness in his eyes as he looked at her.
Melanie's ears turned red. What kind of look was Bentley giving her?
She hurriedly picked up a glass of water to drink but choked and started coughing.
"Angelina, why are you scaring her?" Bentley said displeased, striding over to pat Melanie's back.
The natural affection in his actions shocked Angelina even more. She said sarcastically, "Is Melanie seducing you? Did I interrupt something between you two?"
Melanie's face turned pale with anger.
Bentley took the opportunity to frown angrily, "Yes, you know you're interrupting us, so why don't you leave? Otherwise, I have to ask you, why aren't you enjoying your party and instead coming upstairs to find Lawrence?"
"I just couldn't see him, and I miss him."
Angelina walked up to Melanie, looking down at her and questioning, "Have you seen Lawrence?"
Melanie couldn't hold back and retorted coldly, "Hasn't Lawrence been under your watch the whole time? How could I have seen him?"
"You can't even keep an eye on one person, and you come to ask us," Bentley frowned.
"How was I supposed to know he'd disappear so quickly?" Angelina said, trying to cover up, pouting.
Bentley didn't expose what she had done to Lawrence, only speaking in a cold, objective tone, "Maybe Lawrence is avoiding you, Angelina. He might not like you. There are so many rich young men pursuing you outside; any one of them would be better than Lawrence. He's so much older than you."
"How is he much older? He's only twelve years older, the perfect age difference, don't you know?" Angelina didn't care, clenching her hand, "Anyway, I must have Lawrence."
"Fine, I don't care. We haven't seen him."
Bentley squinted his eyes, urging her to leave.
Angelina was anxious to find Lawrence; he had drunk the drugged wine.
She didn't have time to argue with Bentley and quickly left to search elsewhere.
After the guest room door closed, Melanie took a deep breath.
Luckily, Angelina didn't suspect anything and went to look for the bathroom. If she had opened the door and seen Winnie and Lawrence, it would have been a disaster.
But why was there no sound from those two inside?
Worried about Winnie, Melanie got up and quietly approached the bathroom, trying to eavesdrop.
Unexpectedly, Bentley grabbed her with his big hand and pulled her back. Bentley coughed, "Don't disturb them now, okay?"
"But, Mr. Jenkins, Angelina is gone. I'll go get Winnie out," Melanie said naively.
Bentley raised an eyebrow, his deep eyes looking at Melanie with a hint of amusement, "If you call her out, won't that interrupt Lawrence's good time? Forget it, if Winnie wants to come out, she will."
He threw her a flirtatious look, "If Winnie doesn't come out now, we should kindly cover for them."
"Cover for what?" Melanie still didn't understand, her lips moist as she asked.
That innocent and delicate look made Bentley want to hold her down and kiss her hard.
Unfortunately, she had no memory of their relationship and having a child four years ago.
He could only restrain himself. Bentley tugged at his tie, his voice hoarse as he smiled, "Desire, Ms. Stewart, do you understand? If they can't hold back inside, shouldn't we stay here and cover for them? What if someone else comes?"
Melanie's face finally turned red at his words.
So Bentley was talking about that!
Thinking about Winnie and Lawrence making love inside, while she and Bentley had to stay outside and listen, her neck turned red with embarrassment.
Her usually cool face looked especially cute when blushing.
Bentley found her increasingly irresistible.
She was still the same as four years ago, but having given birth to Anna, she had an unconscious mix of girlish and womanly charm.
Every expression made his heart flutter.
"If you're shy, should I cover your ears?" Bentley pretended to move his big hand to cover Melanie's earlobes.
As his breath approached, Melanie felt the scorching heat and immediately backed away, her wet eyes looking away, "No, no need, I'm not a little girl. Besides, Winnie's situation is special; I can handle it."
"You can handle it? But I can't." Bentley looked at her with deep eyes, sighing meaningfully.
Melanie didn't understand.
Inside the bathroom.
Winnie was like a pillow, tightly held by a wet and scorching body. Lawrence's strong arms trapped her, making it impossible for her to move.
Angelina had just come in and was talking, scaring her into silence.
She was afraid Angelina would open the bathroom door and see them.
"Winnie. Winnie, I feel terrible, please help me."
Lawrence couldn't hear the sounds outside. He pleaded hoarsely in her ear, mixed with sexy groans.
His voice was already magnetic and pleasant, drilling into her eardrums, making her ears go soft.
Winnie, who had intended to refuse coldly, suddenly felt her heart in turmoil.
She couldn't ignore how much pain he was in.
She had experienced this herself; it was really unbearable.
Suddenly, Lawrence's kisses trailed down from her earlobe, biting fiercely. His long fingers turned her face towards him.
Winnie barely had time to struggle before hearing Angelina's questioning voice outside.
Her heart tightened with fear! She didn't dare resist anymore. To keep him quiet, she had to endure his passionate kisses, gently stroking his hard, tense back, trying to calm him down.
Lawrence became much gentler under her soothing.
But his kisses grew more intense, not stopping.
He kissed deeply, making Winnie's brain lack oxygen and go blank. She didn't even know when Angelina left.
She didn't know how long it had been until her lips felt swollen and painful. Only then did Lawrence reluctantly let go, lifting her chin with one finger.
Then he cupped her face with both hands, his eyes red and deep, "I don't like Angelina at all, Winnie. If she hadn't used Adam to threaten me, I wouldn't give her any respect. Please don't misunderstand me anymore, okay?"
Winnie was stunned, "She threatened you?"
"Yes." Lawrence's brows were cold, his disgust undisguised, "She knows I desperately want to collaborate with Adam, so she threatened me, saying if I didn't come to the party, she'd ruin my cooperation and have Samuel trouble the Rodriguez Group."
Winnie was speechless. But she couldn't help but say angrily, "It's rare to see you so frustrated."
