Chapter 880 Uniting with Sam
Lawrence felt that Winnie was pinning the blame on Jeremy.
He furrowed his brows and recalled in a low voice, "Winnie, I understand how you feel. Honestly, I also wondered if it could be Jeremy. After all, the two of them were recently involved and then quickly fell out. Actually, during those three years, I felt Jeremy had a different attitude towards Olivia."
"When he returned to Trento City, he told me about what happened on Azure Isle. He did stay with Adam to recover from his injuries, but he didn't mention that he and Olivia had reunited. He said that after he fell into the sea and regained his memory, he found out that Olivia had been imprisoned by Adam while searching for him."
"If something had happened between Jeremy and Olivia there, Jeremy wouldn't have come back so calmly. Of course, he might not have felt comfortable telling me about it."
Winnie remained tense, her mind racing, but at least she confirmed that Jeremy had been on Azure Isle and had the opportunity to interact with Olivia!
She furrowed her brows tightly, "In that case, Lawrence, I need you to call Jeremy immediately and subtly probe him. Mention Olivia's pregnancy and see how he reacts. How about that?"
Lawrence thought it was feasible. "I'll go find that bastard Jeremy right away. If the child is his, regardless of whether it's good or bad news, he must deal with it."
However, would the news of Olivia's pregnancy be a blow to Jeremy?
Lawrence furrowed his brows deeply and dialed Jeremy's number, thinking about how to break the news to him.
However, no one answered Jeremy's phone.
Lawrence then called his assistant, who told him, "Mr. Rodriguez, Mr. DeRoss received a call ten minutes ago and suddenly left the dock. It seemed like a woman was looking for him."
A woman? Who could it be?
Lawrence furrowed his brows. It couldn't be Olivia; according to Winnie, she was still in the hospital.
While pondering, Lawrence stubbed out his cigarette and glanced at his watch. He had an international meeting coming up that he couldn't miss.
He grabbed his files and called Bryan, "Bryan, go find Jeremy and ask him which woman was looking for him. I need to see him after my meeting! I have something important to ask him."
"Yes, Mr. Rodriguez, I'll go find Mr. DeRoss right away."
Bryan immediately turned and left the CEO's office.
Lawrence replied to Winnie with a text: [Jeremy was handling something for me but suddenly had to leave urgently. I can't find him right now. Don't worry, I'll definitely talk to him about it today.]
Winnie looked at the message, rubbed her forehead in frustration, and felt uneasy about Jeremy's sudden disappearance. She quickly called Lysander, her tone urgent, "Lysander, could you help me find out where Jeremy is? I need to talk to him urgently."
She was eager to question Jeremy about whether anything had happened between him and Olivia over a month ago.
Lynn's car arrived at the café.
She had arranged to meet Jeremy about Olivia, and sure enough, Jeremy came right away.
It was clear that Olivia held a special place in his heart!
After parking, she looked out the window and saw Jeremy getting out of a low-key Cadillac on the other side of the parking lot. His handsome and slightly wicked profile was infinitely intriguing.
Lynn thought that Jeremy, now with the status of Adam's nephew, was even more attractive.
Behind those gold-rimmed glasses was an untamed spirit. She had seen Jeremy's wild side!
But he had never shown her any male charm. Over the past three years, no matter how much she tried to solidify their relationship, he had no feelings for her!
He used to remember her kindness to him, but now that he liked Olivia, he wanted to break their agreement and had already done so!
A trace of hatred flashed in her eyes, and Lynn's lips curled into a cold smile. She didn't rush to get out of the car and noticed a message from Sam.
Lynn immediately called Sam, "Hello?"
"Lynn? What do you want to ask me?" Sam was in an underground casino in Trento City, completely absorbed in gambling.
He had lost all the money he got from Mars in the casino and was too ashamed to return to the DeRoss Family. Knowing that betraying Jeremy and suing Lawrence would get him punished by the DeRoss Family, his status there had been declining. Now, he just wanted to win money!
But he had lost everything again and was worried about money, so his attitude was particularly bad. "Are you mute? Are you going to ask or not?"
"Lynn, why don't you lend me a few thousand dollars? I'll pay you back in a few days. Don't forget about your escapades in the Lymington men's circle. Now that Jeremy is back and his status has risen, what if I tell on you..."
Lynn was impatient with his outdated information!
She interrupted Sam, "Alright, he already knows everything he needs to know. I called you because I have some good news to share."
Sam was intrigued and skeptical, "What good news could you possibly have for me?"
"Listen, Olivia is pregnant! I just found out this secret!"
"Olivia?" Sam, exhausted from gambling, took a moment to react, his eyes widening, "You mean she's pregnant?"
Lynn couldn't tell from his tone if he had done anything to Olivia.
She narrowed her eyes, "Yes, she's pregnant. Is the child yours?"
"What do you mean mine?" Sam, though a scoundrel, didn't like being falsely accused and angrily retorted, "What nonsense are you talking about? I haven't even touched Olivia!"
"She wouldn't let me see Mia. I joked about marrying her, and she blocked me on the phone. She's been hiding ever since. I didn't expect her private life to be so open that she's pregnant with someone else's child."
Sam wasn't exactly angry, but since Olivia was a woman he had raped three years ago, he was somewhat bothered by her pregnancy.
Lynn's reaction turned cold, and she pressed on, "The child isn't yours? Are you sure you didn't get drunk and rape her again a month ago?"
"I haven't even seen her! She's always with Winnie."
If the child wasn't Sam's, then whose was it?
Lynn didn't know which men had been around Olivia.
She pondered how to turn this situation to her advantage. After a few seconds, she suddenly smiled, "You're such a coward, Sam. I don't believe you have no feelings for Olivia, such a cute and beautiful woman. Haven't you ever thought about really marrying her?"
Sam licked his lips playfully and said smugly, "Three years ago, when I had sex with her at the club, she was still a virgin. Although I don't remember that night, I still want to sleep with her. But she won't let me. What can I do?"
"Besides, marrying a woman who has given birth into the DeRoss Family would be embarrassing for me. She has no money now and is of no help to me. I just want to sleep with her, not marry her."
Lynn thought, 'With your situation, you still look down on Olivia?'
