Chapter 82 Jeremy Saves Olivia
In the suburban clubhouse, Jeremy had arrived and took a detour to check on his own affairs. The man's long legs sauntered lazily along the path toward the entrance as he wondered. What did Mr. L order again? He hadn't really paid attention.
But as he passed by a private room, he heard a familiar voice calling out. His sophisticated gaze beneath the gold-rimmed glasses lifted slightly.
What a coincidence?
Jeremy smiled knowingly, though it didn't reach his eyes, and he simply flicked a nod towards his subordinate.
The subordinate forcefully kicked open the door.
The dimly lit private room was spacious. Jeremy parted the curtains and walked in, taking in the situation on the bed. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he glanced at the woman screaming on the bed, barely covered by her clothes.
He reached out and slowly took off his suit jacket, tossing it onto the bed.
Olivia raised her frightened and helpless face and stammered, “Mr. DeRoss...” the fear in her voice was evident.
He didn’t pay attention to her at the moment, but Jeremy's cigarette rose instead, and his subordinate loosened his grip on the man he was holding.
Jeremy walked over with a slow pace and placed his foot on crotches of the scoundrels, slowly applying pressure to this sensitive area causing indescribable pain to the men.
Despite his calm and gentle appearance, a seemingly average nerd type with glasses, an unexpected darkness lay behind. Olivia watched as his cigarette slowly descend until it ignited the scoundrels' pants one by one. He didn't release his foot, and the three men screamed in agony.
Jeremy didn't blink, a faint smile playing on his lips. An enormous sense of evil emanated from him, shaking everyone's hearts under the guise of those lenses.
Jeremy Continued...
Watching the men roll around in pain, he only let go when it was burnt to a crisp. Olivia was completely stunned and horrified by the terrifying moment she had just experienced.
She stared at the gentle face of the man, trembling uncontrollably. What kind of devil was he? The three hooligans scrambled away in complete disarray, frightened beyond belief by what had just happened.
Jeremy stood up straight, his hand in his pocket. He looked at the bed and frowned, chastising his subordinate, "Turn around." After waiting for a while, Olivia on the bed was scared out of her wits and didn’t move.
Was this all she was afraid of? His methods were no match for even a tenth of Mr. L's. Jeremy laughed at the thought.
Jeremy could only glance at her with a mocking smile and said, "Kid, how long are you going to keep staring at me? I've given you my suit jacket to cover up." Olivia was jolted out of her terror. A kid? What did he mean? She suddenly lowered her head and noticed her exposed collarbone. And then it hit her.
She immediately screamed and covered her chest, feeling humiliated. "Mr. DeRoss, despite saving me, how could you be so impolite? Who's a kid?" She straightened her chest, feeling indignant.
Jeremy's gaze darkened slightly. Did she not know that the lace was still exposed? His eyes revealed a refined and mischievous smile. "A glance is all it takes."
Olivia's face was burning with embarrassment. If she hadn't been bruised all over and running a fever, she would have taught him a well-deserved lesson. As Olivia was unable to stand, the man picked her up disdainfully and carried her out.
Once they were in the car, Olivia felt something was off. Jeremy immediately understood just from a glance. Perhaps she needed something to lift her spirits. As soon as they got in the car, she clung to him shamelessly, getting closer and closer until she shamelessly climbed onto his knee.
The driver laughed soundlessly.
Jeremy's gaze turned serious. He may appear refined with his glasses, but his body was strong and muscular. Olivia felt comfortable leaning against him, not even bothering to hide the blood on her face.
She shifted around.
After a while, she furrowed her brows and said, "Can you get the keys from your pocket..."
Jeremy, who was usually calm, froze for a moment, feeling awkward. He coldly pushed away the unfamiliar woman. It must be her lack of shame that caused this 'accident'. "Drive faster!"
He left Olivia at the hospital without another word.
As dawn approached, Winnie received a call from Daniel...
She quickly opened her eyes and saw a nurse standing by her bed. Must be the doctor who helped her. She silently lowered her gaze.
Daniel said that Olivia had been found, in the same hospital. Winnie hurriedly rushed to the fifth floor of the hospital to the medical inpatient department.
Daniel was already there at the entrance of the ward and said sympathetically, "Take your time, Olivia is in pain but she's still intact..."
Winnie anxiously entered the room, "Olivia!"
Olivia, who was heavily sedated, was awakened instantly by Winnie’s voice. She had an IV drip and the effects of the medication had just worn off. In fear, she slowly opened her eyes and said, "No, please don't come near me..."
Winnie felt deeply worried. What had Olivia been through? She immediately held onto her hand and said, "Olivia, Olivia..."
Olivia slowly looked around. With that, a chill ran down her face, and she pulled away from Winnie's hand, unable to control her anger and disappointment.
"What's wrong, Olivia?" Winnie's eyes turned slightly red. Olivia saw that she was about to cry, her face pale. Her heart pulled, but she sneered impatiently,
"What's wrong with me? I was almost forcefully violated by Jason and Victoria's collusion. You knew about it, didn't you? Victoria said you knew about her and Jason being together, why didn't you tell me! You made me look like a fool! Or maybe you simply don't care about my feelings..."
Winnie was startled, she found out? Her brows furrowed, "Olivia, it wasn't intentional, I was afraid that you..." Winnie was cut off before she could finish.
"You deliberately kept it from me, which resulted in my humiliation today! Don't you know that seeing Jason and Victoria rolling on the bed tore my heart apart, and then they turned it around on me. Winnie, I'm so disappointed in you..." Olivia's words were said without filter.
Winnie recoiled harshly, her heart feeling a stab.
Daniel rushed in to support Winnie and glared at Olivia, "Don't upset her! Winnie was beaten in the cell, and as soon as she got out, she looked for you everywhere. She was really worried!"
Olivia was stunned, tears streaming down her face as she saw Winnie almost unable to stand, revealing the bruises on her sleeve. Her heart hurt inexplicably, and she stiffened.
Winnie approached and embraced Olivia’s head, her eyes full of sorrow, "I'm sorry, Olivia. It's my fault. I was scared that you wouldn't be able to handle it, so I was weak and didn't dare to tell you. I never thought you would be hurt by this bitch couple in the most direct way! I'm so sorry, Olivia..."
Her gentle explanation melted Olivia's heart. Damn it, Winnie was also hurt. Why did she let Victoria's provocation enrage her so much? Olivia became angry at her selfishness in that moment.
Feeling extremely wronged, Olivia cried in release. The two held each other tightly for a long time crying till they were both satisfied, after some time Winnie tentatively asked, "Are you not angry anymore?"
Olivia wiped her tears and stared at her. "I am angry, but I don't want Victoria's shit to shake our relationship."
Winnie laughed amidst her tears and listened to Olivia recounting the humiliation in the Harrington family. She clenched her fists coldly, "You must be very hurt. I won't let them get away with what they did today."
Olivia smiled bitterly at herself, "I've given up on that scumbag. I will definitely seek revenge for this! Can you believe the shit we've encountered...?"
Daniel: "..."
Olivia looked up furiously, "I'm talking about you, jerk! Why don't you just get lost?"
She pulled up Winnie's sleeve and saw the shocking bruises, her eyes turning red. Then she looked towards the door and asked, "Where's L? How can he not be by your side when you're injured like this and pregnant?"
Winnie froze, remembering him, and her eyes welled up almost instantly. Tears threatening to break free once more at the side of her eyes.
Daniel expressed a hint of disdain, "Don't mention that man. I rushed Winnie to the hospital for emergency treatment. At that time, she was vomiting in the restroom when he barged in with another woman. He unreasonably attacked me without distinguishing what was going on, and nearly injured Winnie's stomach. His words were vulgar and beyond reproach."
Olivia was dumbfounded. No, this didn't match L's dignified and profound temperament at all. She wondered and glared at Daniel, "Stop exaggerating. Just go away."
Daniel walked out of the room the anger evident on his face.
Olivia felt sorry for Winnie and asked carefully, "Winnie, did L misunderstand you and Daniel?"
