Chapter 129 Driving Away Darcy
"Fire Miss Ordelia, send her back to her hometown, Trento City. Only then will I feel at ease, because right now she poses a great danger to me."
With Winnie and Laura, this woman could cause trouble. Winnie had to expel her, unaware that initially, L had no intention of treating Darcy, as his fiancée.
There are unknown decisions that Darcy had made, but it was certainly not possible for Darcy to sort things out between his company and family immediately.
Winnie continued to urge L to solve this problem quickly.
L frowned deeply, looking at her with intense sharpness, and reached out to touch her forehead.
In a deep voice, L grumbled, "She leaves, and you stay. I can only choose one, even if it's just work-related, is that what you mean?"
Winnie pursed her lips and nodded silently, deep down Winnie was afraid his decision would be against her.
He grabbed her hand and started walking, his voice grim, "I failed to make you feel secure, it’s my negligence. We'll do as you said."
Winnie was taken aback, and almost startled by how resolute he was, she half expected a negotiation or flat refusal. This man had integrity, and he may be under a lot of pressure, but Winnie still wanted to be the "villain" just once.
L swiftly arranged a meeting with Darcy.
Darcy had been kept in the apartment under supervision for two days, guarded by bodyguards. She did not know what was happening outside. At that moment, she was being escorted to the ground floor of the Kingdom Estates Group building by a bodyguard.
L wanted to see her! She felt a slight sense of joy. Could it be that her plan worked and he had changed his mind, due to his fight with Winnie.
Last night, Ray told her that L and Winnie had a falling out.
Great, Winnie couldn't handle being a mistress. Now that L has called her out, perhaps she will be temporarily punished, but as long as Winnie voluntarily steps back, she will quickly win L's heart back.
It seemed she did the right thing, Darcy thought to herself.
"Mr. L." Darcy concealed her excitement well and walked pitifully into the meeting room.
There was a stack of documents in front of L, as he spoke coldly, "Darcy, it's time to settle our relationship today."
Darcy felt that something was not exactly right about this statement. Darcy was startled, and then she noticed Winnie walking in slowly through the door!
Winnie's gaze was cold and piercing. It felt like a wave of cold water hit Darcy's heart. Why is Winnie here? didn't she leave L?!
"Miss Ordelia, surprised to see me?" Winnie said, her tone icy, as she walked to L's side and sat down, holding his arm, in natural sequence.
This natural gesture seemingly declared her sovereignty, making Darcy feel even colder inside, she felt herself sinking rapidly.
As expected, L pushed the documents towards her. "Darcy, you're being removed from the position of Vice President at the headquarters. This is the liquidation of all your assets within the company. Take it home with you, I will publicly announce that I have already called off our engagement. We have no further relationship."
Darcy couldn’t believe it and looked up suddenly. "L, why? I just love you. Is that wrong? This isn't your decision, it's Winnie's, right?" Darcy asked pleading.
"It's my decision. You've done something wrong!" L's voice was cold and indifferent.
Darcy's scalp tingled, unable to face his authority and rejection directly. She quickly began to shed tears and shook her head. "Have you thought about how you will explain this to your family? Do you know what risks you'll face? You need my status! What can Winnie give you?"
She looked deeply at the esteemed man, Darcy chose to switch the dialect, speaking in a language only they understood.
L's gaze slightly changed, becoming even colder and bottomless. "That's not something you should be concerned about. Go home."
"I..." Darcy stuttered. "No!"
Darcy panicked deep down. She couldn't go back. L was the man the Ordelia family wanted to keep. If she returned, there would be other girls from the Ordelia family, and why should she give up this handsome and exceptional man to someone else?
With this in mind, Darcy quickly thought and suddenly grabbed L's hand, begging pitifully, "Mr. L, I single-handedly created the subsidiary. You can't be so heartless. I don't want any more money from you. I've helped you so much before. Can I stay at the subsidiary, please?"
L furrowed his brow. It was true that Darcy had brought the subsidiary to success, and seeing the woman cry so miserably created a slight tension in his heart.
Darcy had indeed helped him in his difficult times. Winnie, observing the man's hesitation, took note.
Setting aside her pride, Darcy pleaded softly with Winnie, "Mrs. L, I promise to leave Mr. L alone. Could you not treat me with such hostility?"
Her words painted a pitiable picture and put Winnie in a difficult situation. The man's ink-black gaze turned to her, seemingly depending on her decision.
Winnie was not naive. If she decided to send Darcy home today, it would be seen as cruel and heartless on the her part, in L’s view.
He still wanted to be lenient toward Darcy, that was clear. Winnie pulled her lips innocently and said, "Miss Ordelia, it wasn't me who treated you with hostility, but rather your own actions. L, where is the subsidiary located?"
"Ystad," L furrowed his brow.
It wasn't far from Trento City, but it was quite a distance from Lymington.
Winnie pondered for a moment, then smiled gently, "If Miss Ordelia is willing to be L's sister, it would be best for her to stay at the subsidiary. You said you would leave Mr. L alone, and I sincerely hope you move on and find a boyfriend. L, as Miss Ordelia's brother, you know many wealthy young men who could be introduced to her."
L stared at Darcy. "You go to the subsidiary and start your new life. I promised to help you find a boyfriend, and I will keep an eye out.”
A sharp pain pierced Darcy's heart, and deep within her eyes, a cold ruthlessness shot at Winnie.
That wicked woman wanted L to find her a boyfriend. With an engaged status, it would be inconvenient for her to get close to L.
Darcy could only agree, "I accept Mr. L's decision. I will go to the subsidiary."
L didn't say anything further. "Go upstairs and pack your things in the Vice President's office. Leave the nameplate, but the rest of the belongings are yours."
He didn't mistreat her, but only in terms of money! Darcy clenched her teeth and filled with resentment. She went back to the Vice President's office upstairs, where Luke had already packed her things into boxes.
Holding the box, she reluctantly let go of the nameplate clasped in her hand and, amidst the discussions among the company employees, left the company in a sorry state.
She had worked for L's company for so many years to establish her current position. She and L had a close working relationship, which had always been her pride.
Now everything has been ruined by Winnie. She thought she could embarrass her and force her to quit, but she didn't expect that this bitch would use the stain of Mistress and use L's guilt to uproot her completely!
Hatred! Darcy's eyes filled with intense hatred!
It's not over yet, Darcy was determined. She quickly got into the car and asked Jeffery to book a flight to Trento City.

A Vice President was removed from her position, and the changes within the company were attracting the attention of the Rodriguez family.
Winnie looked worried as she watched him answer the phone.
Then, with a cold face, he instructed Luke to take her home and said, "Don't leave the house these next few days!"
"L, what's going on?" Winnie furrowed her brows.
She felt a tinge of guilt and faintly guessed that it was a call from his family. By removing Darcy and publicly breaking off the engagement, he would probably have to endure a period of turmoil.
L picked her up and got in the car. He remained silent and drove another car.
Trento City.
It started pouring rain at night, and Darcy returned to the prestigious Ordelia Mansion and went straight to her mother's room.
Darcy's mother stood up from the sofa, glanced at her daughter, and said, "Your father heard about the Lymington company situation and has gone to the Rodriguez family to find Lawrence R."
