Chapter 338 Oscar Appears Simultaneously

Lawrence couldn't help himself; her hand was so soft and warm that as soon as she touched it, he almost lost control. In a hoarse voice filled with dangerous reproach, he said, "Hooligan."

Winnie's face turned bright red as she found herself in an awkward situation. She felt like chopping off her own hand. Her fingertips had a slight numbness, and this sensation extended to her scalp, causing a tingling feeling. She explained with a hint of frustration, her head throbbing with a headache, "It wasn't intentional. I came in here to get Sidney's clothes."

"No need to explain, just set aside everything else. I know you're quite satisfied with it." The man cheekily smiled, his voice filled with deep confidence.

Winnie had never seen someone so shameless and was dumbstruck. Her heart pounded rapidly like a balloon about to burst, and the steam in the bathroom had unintentionally added a hint of allure to her eyes. She bit her lip, feeling at a disadvantage as a woman. She didn't know how to respond to his cheeky remark and bit her lip out of frustration.

Lawrence's eyes suddenly darkened, his breath growing heavier as he couldn't help but twist her chin, lowering his head slightly. In a devilish manner, he said, "Why are you not saying anything? Do you agree? Last time, you dared to say I wasn't good in bed."

"Nonsense!" Winnie forcefully pushed away his sturdy frame, feeling the heat of his scorching muscles pulsated with the strength of his prime. She felt like she was about to be burned, her cheeks flushing with anger. "Please, Lawrence, behave yourself. What are you trying to do, acting flirtatious toward me?"

Lawrence's mouth twitched in disbelief as she labeled him flirtatious. His whole face turned dark, revealing the impact of her words. She seemed to possess a skill for dispelling ambiguity like pouring a bucket of cold water on a flame. The atmosphere became tense, and the man silently moved back a few inches. His hand also released her waist, coldly grabbing the towel. His voice carried a hint of dissatisfaction and desire as he said, "Are you trying to seduce me? Get out. Haven't you seen enough?"

Winnie stared at his proud figure in silence, her pretty face full of disdain. "There's nothing good to see, except for it being big. There are plenty of those."

Lawrence's head throbbed as she audaciously claimed there was nothing good to see, her apparent lack of realization about her own good fortune frustrating him. Infuriated, he retorted, "Do you have any shame left? What do you mean, plenty of those? Have you even seen several big ones?"

"I've been working as a urologist for the past three years, Lawrence. If you're concerned, let me reassure you, it's great, just great…" Her words, "great, just great" almost made Lawrence lose his composure.

The next moment, he saw her speaking tenderly in front of Sidney, saying, "Sidney, have you had dinner?"

"No, Daddy didn't make me any dinner yet. Mommy, I'm so hungry." Winnie immediately glared at Lawrence and hurriedly walked toward the kitchen.

Lawrence looked at his pitiful son and mocked, "If you rely on her to cook, you might as well starve. Her cooking skills can't compare to mine."

Sidney thought to himself as he scoffed at his father, 'Mommy's food is delicious. I have secretly eaten it several times and fallen in love with it.'

Not long after, Lawrence noticed an unbelievably delicious aroma coming from the kitchen. With one hand in his pocket, unable to resist, he walked over. The kitchen was not big, and in the warm glow, Winnie, with her flowing black hair secured by a fork, appeared casual and gentle. A few strands of hair fell on her cheeks, tickling her. She couldn't move her hands and would gently shake them off.

Lawrence's gaze swept over the silk blouse she hadn't changed yet, her waist-hugging pencil skirt, and her slender and straight legs. Standing in the kitchen like this, she exuded both the charm of a woman and the warmth of motherhood from her profile. He couldn't help but feel a dryness in his throat. His finger twitched, almost wanting to go and help her tuck away the strands of hair. Before he could react, his large hand had already unconsciously reached out.

"What are you doing?" Winnie turned her head, slightly surprised.

Lawrence frowned and calmly explained himself, "I'm afraid you won't see clearly and accidentally cut yourself. Then my son will have to order take-out."

"Pfft, whatever." Winnie quickly resumed cooking.

As Lawrence glanced at the dishes, he was somewhat surprised to find an array of delights awaiting him. In just a short ten minutes, the table was adorned with steamed meat patties with eggs, grilled spare ribs, and a delicious vegetable soup. The combination of corn, carrots, and shrimp, thoughtfully prepared, seemed like a kid-friendly delight. To top it off, there was even a delightful dessert to conclude the impressive spread.

Seeing his critical gaze fixed on the dessert, Winnie coldly said, "Low-sugar, low-fat, suitable for children."

Lawrence looked at her, his sharp gaze sweeping the living room. Next to the dining room, there was a child's high chair, a detail he had noticed as soon as he came in. Finding it a bit strange, he then asked in a low voice, "How did you know how to cook children's food? Plus, there's a child's high chair in the living room but Sidney has never been here. Could it be that you have another child?"

Winnie was stunned, her hand trembling in fright. She cursed inwardly when she realized that she had forgotten to put away Oscar's high chair. She explained anxiously, "I bought the high chair in advance, thinking that Sidney might visit."

Lawrence narrowed his eyes. "You bought it fittingly. You seem to be familiar with taking care of children?" He was still skeptical. Just three years ago, she ended her own baby's life and fled. Logically speaking, she shouldn't have any experience in raising children.

Winnie immediately glared at him disdainfully and mocked, "Of course, I'm not unfamiliar. When I was pregnant, I did a lot of research. While you and Darcy were fooling around and sending me to the psychiatric hospital, I even thought about what things the child would need at each age."

Upon hearing that, Lawrence fell into a stunned silence, his countenance darkening. Sending her for treatment may have seemed arbitrary in retrospect, but at that moment, his primary concern was safeguarding the baby's well-being. Despite her apparent love for children, the painful truth lingered. He drew a deep breath, acknowledging that further discussion would only reopen old wounds.

Winnie noticed that he had stopped talking, and she secretly breathed a sigh of relief, realizing he didn't deserve to know that both of his children were perfectly fine. She had carefully concealed Oscar in the other apartment with Elliott and Lena.

Just as Winnie turned her head, she was startled to see a small figure enter the room, causing her to catch her breath - it was Oscar. She pondered what he had been doing in the apartment and how he had gained entry.

At the same time, Lawrence had also turned his head and saw the little boy standing next to Sidney. He frowned and asked, "Who is this?"

Winnie's heart seemed to stop beating, and she stared blankly, not knowing how to react.

Sidney mischievously walked over, glanced at Winnie discreetly. He then exchanged a mischievous smile with his brother and said, "Mommy, I want to sleep here tonight, so I ordered some toothbrushes and face towels for delivery."

As Winnie looked at Oscar, who was sporting a mask and a hat, her heart raced like a roller coaster. Understanding the mischievous intentions of these two little guys, her expression darkened. Contemplating the need for discipline, she felt a strong desire to spank their bottoms. With determination, she was about to seize the items and swiftly send Oscar away.

Lawrence beat Winnie to it, grabbing the bag first. He stared at the "delivery boy," furrowing his brows as he looked again and asked, "You're so young and already delivering food? Whose child are you?"

Winnie was speechless. She really wanted to intercept Lawrence's gaze and throw Oscar out. Instead, he squatted down, sharply staring at Oscar's face beneath the mask and said, "You look a bit familiar, kid."

Winnie felt like jumping off a building. She thought to herself, 'Of course, he looked familiar. He is Sidney's identical twin.'
