Chapter 255 Darcy, I'm back.
Darcy's face turned cold, waiting for the other person to step aside. Nowadays, she was spoiled in Lymington. Which debutante dared not to give way to her?
But the woman in front of her just stood there, as if intentionally blocking her way. Darcy impatiently signaled to the side with her eyes.
The female bodyguard stepped forward fiercely and said, "Can't you see Mrs. Rodriguez is here? Get out of the way."
Winnie held her hands together, smiling happily, "So it's Mrs. Rodriguez!"
That slightly hoarse voice...
Darcy froze and felt it was familiar, so she suddenly looked up. When she saw the face of the terrifying woman under the veil, Darcy stared in disbelief.
"Winnie?" She stared at Winnie, her phone falling to the ground with a loud crash. In a panic, she shouted, "Ghost, it's a ghost!"
"Miss Ordelia?" the female bodyguard hurriedly supported her.
"How could you be here? You clearly died!" Darcy stared at Winnie, her breathing becoming pale, scared to the point of almost wetting herself.
When she finally saw that Winnie had a shadow, her face turned ashen. After finally calming down, she said with a gloomy and uneasy tone, "You, this wench, didn't die?!"
It was impossible. Back then, the search and rescue team had obviously found two bodies. She personally witnessed the female corpse being destroyed!
Winnie approached her, her cold smiling face unusually pale. "I know you would be disappointed if I didn't die, but this is, too disappointing."
She laughed, "Why were you so certain that I died? It seems like you were at the scene that night, cutting open a pregnant woman, forcing her to jump into the sea, and seeing me plunge into the depths of the sea with your own eyes!"
Darcy quickly reacted and looked at the sinister bodyguard.
The female bodyguard immediately stopped the two debutantes who were about to enter the room and said, "Can't you see Mrs. Rodriguez is here? Back off."
Winnie closed the door behind her. Darcy snapped back to reality and looked at Winnie from head to toe. She appeared unharmed, even more beautiful than before, which sent a shiver down Darcy's spine.
With pursed lips, she sneered, "You wretched woman! You didn't even die after jumping into the sea. Truly, the wicked have long lives, so you've been hiding for these three years?"
"And now you come out, trying to scare me?"
"Winnie, I see that you still haven't grasped reality. Three years ago, I easily played you to death, and now you think you can make a comeback?"
"Guards, throw her into the toilet and drown her, then throw her out!" Darcy watched the scene unfold calmly.
Two female bodyguards approached swiftly, attempting to capture Winnie.
In the dimly lit restroom, Darcy couldn't quite make out what was happening. She was shocked to see one of the bodyguards lying motionless on the ground.
In the next moment, Winnie grabbed Darcy's neck.
Darcy was dumbfounded as sharp nails scratched across her face and strong kicks landed on her.
"Aah!" Her sudden cry revealed her lack of strength, likely due to her debutante background.
Winnie kicked her to the ground, grabbed her hair like a dead dog, knocked her head against the door three times, and then brought her to the toilet.
"Ahh, my nose! What are you doing, Winnie... When did you learn martial arts?"
Blood gushed from her nose. Darcy looked at the bloodstains on the door panel in shock, her body trembling. She seemed to realize she shouldn't underestimate this woman any longer.
Winnie pushed her head into the water, turning on the tap. "Ahh..."
Struggling for a few seconds, Darcy fought back desperately.
She stomped on Darcy’s delicate wrist, lowered her head, and wickedly smiled.
"Yes, I've learned a thing or two. Three years ago, you mocked and mistreated me while I was pregnant with your child. But now, after giving birth, I'm light as a swallow. As for dealing with a wretched person like you, I can hit and curse as I wish! Is my strength enough for you?"
"Let go of me! If you treat me like this, Mr. L... Mr. L won't let you off!"
Darcy was on the verge of tears, choking on the dirty water in the toilet. The entire situation disgusted her, and she screamed madly.
"What will he do to me? I don't know. But right now, I definitely won't let you off." Winnie chuckled softly.
Her gaze was icy, filled with hatred. The desperation she felt on that night three years ago, when she held her child and ran towards the end of her life.
The struggle and agony of giving birth prematurely, the danger of being locked up in a sanatorium. The hatred Olivia endured from being humiliated by so many people!
All of it converged, fueling her.
Winnie grinned wickedly as she forced water into Darcy's mouth, one mouthful after another, soaking her hair. Then, she pulled Darcy up.
With a cold, flowing gown and her fair legs stepping on high heels, Winnie lightly clapped her hands.
She delighted in Darcy's terrified expression and the desire to tear her apart. She tugged at the corner of her mouth and said, "This is just the beginning, Darcy. You must repay for everything you've done to us, one thing at a time."
And then, she walked out.
Darcy clenched her fists in rage. Her face was covered in dirt, making her hesitant to move. Her voice, filled with resentment and anger, seeped through the crack in the door. "Winnie... You wretched woman...”
"Why don't you die!" Winnie's lips curled coldly as she walked back to Alan's side in the dimly lit room.
Feeling a chill, Alan frowned and asked, "Where did you go?"
Winnie tore off the damp hem of her dress and asked, "How much is the bid now?"
"Um... Lawrence R, that idiot, raised the offer to 20 billion dollars. I'm broke," Alan replied.
Without wasting any words, Winnie stomped on the man's shoe once again.
"Ow," Alan groaned, "Winnie, don't take advantage of me."
"I stayed at Imperial, creating value for you worth more than 20 billion dollars. So come with me," Winnie said. Gritting his teeth, Alan reluctantly raised the sign.
Meanwhile, Winnie's phone buzzed with a message from Rock on Facebook. "Winnie, don't worry. I'll make sure to protect the assets left by your mother's father. Why don't you come sit next to me?"
The woman looked up and met Rock's warm gaze from afar. Winnie's heart warmed, and she put away her phone.
Lawrence R tugged at his tie once again, infuriated by the successive provocations from Rock and Alan.
When the bid reached 20.2 billion dollars, Darcy returned.
Her hair slightly damp, her makeup neatly reapplied, but the bruises on her face were still visible.
Lawrence R usually didn't pay attention to her appearance, but the scars made him pause. "Darcy, what happened to you?"
Darcy bit her lip, a look of fear and sadness evident on her face. After a while, she softly cried out, "Mr. L..."
She gazed up at him with a mixture of helplessness and fear. "Winnie has returned. Did you know?"
She had mistakenly believed that the female corpse three years ago was Winnie, but she had hidden it from Lawrence R, telling him that Winnie had escaped. Considering this context, her question was reasonable.
She stared intensely at him, wanting to read his reaction.
Lawrence R's face stiffened for a moment, a fleeting hint that Darcy caught, proving that he might have known in advance.
With fingers clenched in resentment, Darcy's internal alarm bells went off! She immediately burst into tears.
"I bumped into her in the restroom just now. I was surprised and also happy, but something seems off with her. She has changed a lot and immediately attacked me, leaving me like this..."
At that moment, Lawrence R raised his phone and captured Darcy's swollen face.
Frowning, he exclaimed with anger, "She dared to hit you? This crazy woman is out of control!"
Darcy looked up.
The female bodyguard immediately added fuel to the fire, saying, "Not only did she hit Miss Ordelia, she even dunked her head in the toilet several times. She almost drowned. Mr. L, you must stand up for Miss Ordelia! She's too kind; she didn't fight back..."
In truth, there was no opportunity for her to fight back, and Darcy bit her lip fiercely. Her gaze, however, remained intense as she awaited Lawrence R's response.
Unjustly, Darcy looked at the man. "Perhaps Miss Anderson misunderstood our agreement with Triton Company. She might be trying to take back the company tonight. Her character has become terrifying, and her methods are dreadful, Mr. L. I don't want to trouble you, so why not give Triton to her? As long as you're by my side, I won't feel aggrieved."
Though she claimed not to feel aggrieved, she couldn't help but cry even more.
Lawrence R clearly treated her as his fiancée. For Winnie to act this way, wasn't it just a slap in his face?
That wicked woman, Triton is being auctioned off, all because she left three years ago. Now Darcy wants the company. What's stopping her?
As a thorn pricked, his jaw clenched as he coldly chuckled, "Why should I?"
"I'll give you the company, and she must apologize to you too!"
As Darcy stopped crying, a sinister smile emerged from the depths of her heart.
