Chapter 591 Successful Proposal

Ten million wasn't the focus, but the orders were the key to expanding reputation!
Winnie nodded with a smile, and said, "I personally designed it. Rock, thank you for following up with this lady. Currently, she is a very important client to me."
Rock put down the documents and walked over. His tall figure enveloped her in the office chair, his eyes warm. "Triton's first steps are steady. This is the result of your hard work, Winnie. Don't worry too much about your career and family. Your dad will wake up, Oscar will be found, and your future life will be stable."
Winnie lowered her eyes, remembering the unresolved phone call with Lawrence R last night, his threatening tone making her fearful. She wanted stability, but only if Lawrence R was willing to let her go!
Her gaze flickered, and she snapped back to reality. "Thank you for your blessings. The first order for Triton also couldn't have been achieved without your help these days, Rock."
Rock's eyes lit up as he responded, "You can relax now. I heard your dad's surgery is scheduled for half a month later. Winnie, the Harrington Group is about to hold its company opening ceremony. In a few days, my father will come to Trento City. I thought it would be a good opportunity for you to meet my two elders."
Winnie's expression froze. Rock's hint was too obvious. He wanted to get married soon!
While Winnie hadn't changed her mind, she had agreed to marry Ishara at the beginning of next month. Still, she couldn't shake off a sense of fluster.
Seeing her silent, Rock hesitantly said, "If you're not comfortable meeting my father, that's okay. I don't want to pressure you. However, your public statement about marrying at the beginning of next month also played a significant role in the success of Eternity Jewelry Co. Ltd. I just don't think going back on your word in public feels right for you."
She didn't care about her public image. But this marriage, she had to go through with it. She had made it clear to Lawrence R and Olivia that she would get married.
Yet, deep down, she was unsure.
Winnie raised her gaze slightly, taking in the man in front of her—a perfect gentleman, gentle in demeanor. As a husband, he was ideal.
Three or four years of waiting; few men could endure such a prolonged courtship.
By marrying him, she could bid farewell to Lawrence R for good, and she could secure her son's future.
She shouldn't hesitate any longer, shouldn't let Olivia's biases against Rock cloud her judgment of this man's intentions towards her.
As she fell silent, Rock quickly knelt down, pulling out a blue velvet box from his pants pocket as if by magic, his eyes filled with affection and sincerity. "Winnie, I love you, truly love you! If you can't love me right away, that's okay. I know I can't force it, I'm willing to wait, indefinitely. I'm opening my heart to show you, it only has you inside.
"If you don't marry me, I won't marry in this lifetime. I've been honest with my parents about this decision, and they can't change my mind. Marry me! Let me cherish and love you, let's build a home together. I don't want to see your heart adrift, lonely. I don't want to see you waste the rest of your life on Lawrence R, repeating the torment. He's not worth it!"
Winnie's heart trembled fiercely, her eyes slightly red with embarrassment.
One sentence from Rock struck her deeply, "I don't want to see your heart adrift, repeating the torment."
She had been adrift for three years, all spent on Lawrence R. Was it worth it?
Whether it was worth it or not, she didn't dwell on it. She just knew she couldn't go on like this.
Of course, she longed for a home, for someone to rely on. If Rock could be that person, why couldn't she grow old with him? She told herself she could, convinced that love could be learned.
Winnie closed her eyes, tears silently rolling down her cheeks.
Rock saw her flushed cheeks and intense emotions, immediately taking her delicate fingers and slipping a diamond ring onto them.
The cold diamond sent shivers down Winnie's fingers. She trembled but didn't resist, accepting Rock's proposal.
Sometimes one has to push themselves to realize they can make that decision.
"Winnie! I'll take that as a yes," Rock said, kissing her fair fingertips, then embracing her, saying with a smile, "You've accepted my proposal. On August 15th, you'll be my fiancée! Let's have the wedding next month, okay? I don't want to wait another moment!"
Winnie's mind went blank.
Taking a deep breath, she stared at the simple yet unfamiliar ring. So be it, she would marry Rock.
A faint smile appeared on her face as she quietly nodded. "Okay."
Rock's heart surged; his eyes filled with certainty. Winnie was about to belong to him. 'Lawrence R, are you watching?' he thought to himself.
With determination, he stood up, lifted Winnie, and spun her around happily.
Manager Nelson, outside the door, discreetly captured this scene and uploaded it to the work group, framing it as a concerned subordinate caring for Winnie, adding, "Ms. Anderson seems like good things are happening!"
Olivia, also in the group, immediately saw the photo. The blue velvet box on Winnie's desk was too conspicuous! Rock was about to take off with her, his smile radiant.
Olivia knew what was happening.
"Aunt Olivia, what are you looking at? Kathy wants to see my mother. Call her back," Shane said, tugging at her sleeve discontentedly.
Olivia quickly turned off her phone, not daring to show the picture to Shane. After all, he was the child Lawrence R had raised.
Olivia glanced at Madam Rodriguez sitting in the living room, then twisted Shane's ear, turned around, and dialed Winnie's number.
The warmth in the office was interrupted by Olivia's phone call.
Rock furrowed his brow slightly and let go of Winnie. After she finished the call, he asked gently, "Is something wrong?"
Winnie stood up, didn't mention Madam Rodriguez, and grabbed her coat and bag. "Sorry, something came up at home that I need to deal with."
Rock looked at her beautiful eyes. He guessed that the issue at home was probably related to Lawrence R, especially with that annoying kid Shane.
His eyes darkened slightly, but he concealed it well, reaching out, saying, "Let me take you home. I'm not busy this afternoon. You need to attend the Harrington Group's company opening ceremony, and there are many things to discuss about the wedding. I'd like to ask you slowly. I also want to have dinner with you tonight to celebrate the proposal."
Winnie blushed slightly, nodded gently, not refusing his hand, and walked out with him.
In the Dazzling Estate villa living room, Madam Rodriguez had been playing with Shane.
The doorbell rang, and Shane immediately got up, running happily to open the door. "Mommy, why did you come back so late! Kathy has been waiting for you... Why did you come?"
Madam Rodriguez stood up from the sofa, her expression changing upon hearing the second half of her grandson's sentence. She saw a tall, slender man with gentle features, a true gentleman. His hand was on Winnie's back, the other hand holding her bag.
Madam Rodriguez's expression changed again, her gaze shifting to Winnie's face. She knew who this young man was!
