Chapter 22 The man gave her a black card
Winnie's hand was forcefully slapped away and Lily came over to grab the clothes. Last time, she and that hooligan had embarrassed Winnie at the club. Today, she was determined to humiliate Winnie.
Lily sneered and said, "Winnie, this is the Hermes counter, can you even read? Do you still think that you're the debutante who used to attend fashion shows?
"And you salespeople too, things are different now. You dare let any beggar come in and pollute the eyes of our esteemed VIPs?"
The salesperson quickly apologized to Lily and their gaze toward Winnie became contemptuous.
Olivia was about to rush forward but Winnie stopped her with a raised hand.
Lily proudly held the clothes in her hand and said, "This is the gown that Ava spent $880,000 on."
She continued, "Ava will wear this $880,000 evening gown and you're dating a thug who can't even afford my medical expenses. Can you, who is now so poor, even afford a corner of this dress? Oh, what are you wearing?"
She grabbed Winnie's collar abruptly and looked at it. "Monet? Ha, it's a high-quality replica!
"Everyone, come and take a look! Winnie Anderson, who used to think highly of herself, is wearing a replica! It's really amusing. Be careful, don't let the things be stolen by this poor soul!"
Winnie wanted to laugh, not knowing how Mr. L would react if he heard someone doubt his clothes and call them replicas as he was such a cold and aloof man.
"Shouldn't someone like this destitute person who can't even afford clothes without a black card be kicked out?" Lily thought that she would definitely please Ava by publicly humiliating Winnie today.
The cashier with hesitations in her steps, almost stepped forward to drive Winnie away.
Winnie slowly took out her phone from which she retrieved a luxurious black card. She walked toward the counter and calmly checked out while saying, "I'll take all the clothes in the store!
"Including the one in her hand, Ava’s exquisite evening gown." She turned her head and pointed at Lily with indifference.
A strange silence fell over the store, only interrupted by gasps. The cashiers' faces changed, and Lily's face turned pale.
She rushed forward in disbelief and said, "Impossible, how could you have a black card? Clerk, hers must be a fake card!"
Without changing her expression, Winnie scanned the code and successfully made the payment where several million dollars were transferred.
Lily's jaw dropped and her face turned to stone as the onlookers began to mock her.
Olivia snatched Lily's evening gown and tore it apart with a cold smile saying, "Take a good look, you little lapdog. Winnie and I can't be bothered with you! Oops, it's torn but a tattered dress matches the ugliness of Ava. Here, take it back and give it to her as a gift!"
In her anger, Lily screamed at Olivia, "Olivia, you bitch!"
Olivia exuded a threatening presence, showing that she is capable of violence said, "What's wrong? Can't produce a black card? You poor lapdog. Get lost or are you waiting to be dealt with by me?"
Lily, who was clutching the torn dress, was so angry that she felt dizzy and vomited blood, losing all her dignity.
She angrily walked out of the store and immediately made a phone call to complain, "Ava, Winnie tore your evening gown!"
"What? You can't even handle something so simple, you're a useless waste," Ava scolded coldly.
Lily's face darkened for a moment. Apparently, Ava and her were just surface friends. If Ava hadn't gained power now, she wouldn't have sucked up to her.
She whispered as she suppressed her anger, "Ava, Winnie actually has a gold-plated black card. Could it be that the thug she's dating is really rich? She just bought all the clothes in the store, humiliating me severely."
Ava wasn't pleased to hear this at all, her face full of envy and resentment.
She sneered, "How is that possible? Are you blind? Winnie can barely afford to eat now. You said that thug can't even afford your medical expenses and now a black card? Maybe they borrowed money from the black market to put on a show!"
She paid no attention at all to what Lily said instead she began speaking with a resentful sneer, "That bitch caused my mom to have a scandal. Hmph, my mom has already gained my dad's forgiveness and is coming up with a plan. Let's see how long Winnie can show off before she's taken care of."
Lily immediately flattered her by saying, "Mrs. Ava, you're truly amazing."

Meanwhile, in the Anderson family bedroom.
It was in the afternoon and Sophia had used all her charms to please Matthew. She managed to make him look infatuated and his complexion improved as he is finally lying down to catch his breath.
Sophia, despite maintaining a youthful figure, was tired and panting. Thinking about her dark past being exposed by Winnie made her clenched her fists. Fortunately, Matthew suppressed all her negative publicity and the mocking from the other high society ladies ceased. Sophia managed to preserve her face and status.
She held onto Matthew and coquettishly said, "Darling, I've managed to convince Mrs. Davis. She has finally agreed to Daniel and Ava's engagement. The only thing missing is Ava's dowry. If we can offer the East City Resort as a generous dowry, our daughter will truly shine."
"Then, let's give it to her." Matthew replied eagerly and Sophia's expression changed.
"But that resort was left behind by Winnie's grandfather. Even though we took over all her assets, the resort requires her personal signature."
Matthew looked at her while Sophia exchanged a meaningful glance with Matthew.
Matthew with a wicked smile on his face said, "That girl is completely rebellious. She has harmed Ava and me, and even hired hooligans to attack you. Darling, this time I will bring her back not only to make her sign but I also have a plan to make sure she stays quiet forever. No one will compete with Ava in the provincial competition."
The intention was clear in her eyes and a cold look flashed in Matthew's eyes. He nodded and said, "You've done well with the engagement of Ava."
Sophia knew she had passed this test with Matthew and a coldness burst forth from her eyes. This time, she would hit two birds with one stone, never giving the little bitch a chance to survive.

Meanwhile at the department store counter, Olivia mocked Winnie as she stared at her black card.
"I said I wanted to buy clothes to vent for you earlier, but you didn't let me. Turns out you were saving up for a big move."
"What do you mean?"
"You've been fighting with your fiancé from the Harrington family recently, and your grandpa has cut off your financial support, right?" Winnie hit the nail on the head.
Olivia's expression slightly darkened but she still smiled. "Your mysterious husband is really wealthy. You can spend millions without him making a single phone call to question it, Winnie. No matter who he is or how ugly he is, you should just claim him!"
Matter of fact is that this card was given to Winnie by Mr. L before she left and she actually has no intention of using it.
"I was just trying to show off temporarily. I'll return all the clothes later," said Winnie.
"Why return them? Try this one, try this one!" Olivia grabbed two items and pushed her into the fitting room.
Winnie opened the chatting box and explained the money she had spent to Mr. L.
Outside, Olivia's impatient voice pierced the air. "Hurry up, I still want to go see the bag, come out and show me!"
Winnie had no choice but to put on her clothes in a hurry but her chest got stuck. She looked at her dimensions and took a selfie, sending it to Olivia.
Her face turned slightly red as she sent a voice message saying, "I seem to have grown up, Olivia..."
She received a reply within a minute. "Where have you grown up, Ms. Winnie?"
Winnie felt strange and when she looked carefully at the dialogue box, she suddenly wanted to take a rock and knock herself to death!
