Chapter 642 Oscar Saw Winnie

The moment Sidney saw Winnie, he ran over crying. "Mommy, I missed you so much."
Winnie, tears streaming down her face, hugged Sidney tight. "Sidney, I'm so sorry for making you worry. I'm fine now and I promise I'll never leave you and Oscar again."
"It's all Daddy's fault, I know," Sidney sobbed, a hint of embarrassment in his eyes. No matter how much he sympathized with Lawrence, he couldn't deny that Oscar's worry was justified.
Lately, he'd been browsing the web, and everyone was saying that Lawrence had taken Winnie when she married Rock. They speculated whether Winnie was raped and if Rock would abandon her. No man would accept a woman like Winnie anymore.
Sidney realized that Winnie had been hurt so much this time that he couldn't even defend Lawrence anymore.
Winnie didn't want to think about Lawrence again.
Bringing her mind back to the present, she immediately looked around for Oscar, but he wasn't there.
Her hopeful eyes turned empty. She trembled as she spoke, "Sidney, where's Oscar? Rock said he was rescued?"
"Oscar is safe, Mommy. Don't worry!" Sidney loosened his embrace slightly and called Oscar with his smartwatch. "Oscar is waiting for you to come back. He told me to video call him the moment I saw you. He misses you a lot, Mommy."
Winnie wiped away her tears, her heart in pieces, and asked hoarsely, "Where is Oscar? Why hasn't he come home? Sidney, have you seen your brother?"
"I've seen him. He's fine. As for why he hasn't come back, it's because..."
Sidney, not good at lying, remembered Oscar's request to lie so Winnie wouldn't worry. He thought for a moment and said, "Oscar got a little hurt from the doctor who kidnapped him. He's being treated at that doctor's house."
Winnie suddenly remembered that when Ishara threatened her, she mentioned Oscar had undergone brain surgery.
Her heart clenched tightly. "He's hurt, so he's recovering? I want to see him. I want to bring him back."
"He will come home, Mommy. Don't worry."
The busy signal cut off, and Oscar didn't answer. Just as Winnie felt anxious, Sidney said, "Oscar is free to move around. He's been watching over Grandpa's hospital room these past few days. He said Grandpa might be in danger. Mommy, he's very smart. He even contacted me yesterday."
"I can vouch for that." Elliott wheeled himself over. "I know Sidney went to see Oscar. Winnie, you just got back, don't tire yourself out. Go inside first. Once Sidney contacts Oscar, you can go see him."
Winnie snapped out of her sadness and realized that Uncle Elliott and Lena were also there. She stood up, embraced by Lena.
Elliott said, "Alright, it's good that you're back. You haven't eaten all day on the plane, right? I'll have the housekeeper make something delicious."
Rock led Winnie inside.
In the familiar villa, Winnie finally felt she could breathe. She looked around the house with tear-filled eyes and suddenly remembered that Olivia hadn't come to greet her.
"Olivia." Winnie walked towards Olivia's room on the first floor. She opened the door, seeing that the bed was neatly made, and Mia wasn't there either.
She frowned, immediately came out to the room on the second floor, picking up her spare phone to contact Olivia.
After a while, the call connected, and Olivia's surprised and confused voice came through. "Winnie, is that you? Is this your spare phone number? Am I remembering this right?"
"It's me, Olivia."
"Wow, you're back. I was so worried about you." Olivia was almost crying with excitement. "Ever since Lawrence took you, I suspected he wouldn't let you out until you were pregnant."
Winnie was speechless at Olivia's accurate guess.
In her silence, Olivia filled in the gaps with her imagination and worriedly asked, "You didn't get pregnant with his child again, did you?"
"What do you mean again? Besides three years ago, I didn't get pregnant with his child again." Winnie frowned.
"Didn't Lawrence insist you miscarried his child before? Were you pregnant or not?"
"Shut up. I wasn't." Winnie felt so embarrassed she wanted to dig a hole and jump in.
Olivia, however, picked up on the underlying meaning. Some things couldn't be said by others, but friends would worry about each other. "Winnie, from what you're saying, you did sleep with Lawrence again."
Winnie's face throbbed. She gripped her phone tightly, biting her lip. "Is that all you think about? Where are you? Why aren't you at home?"
"Don't mention it." Olivia's voice changed tone. "A few days ago, Mia and I got into trouble and ended up in the hospital."
"What happened?" Winnie became worried.
"I don't know who ambushed me. I called Jeremy that day, and he came to save us. But I saw on the news that he got into trouble again! I'm stuck in the hospital. Actually, on the day of the incident, Jeremy..."
The call was interrupted by a knock on Winnie's door. She turned and asked, "Sidney, is that you? Come in."
Sidney ran in anxiously and pointed to his smartwatch. "Mommy, Oscar just contacted me. He's on his way to Grandpa's hospital. He said he saw Patrick approaching the hospital but didn't go in. Oscar suspects Grandpa is in danger and told me to inform you to send someone there quickly."
"What?" Winnie's eyes widened, her lips turning pale. She quickly said to Olivia on the phone, "Olivia, something's come up here. I'll talk to you later. Stay in touch with me."
"Is Uncle Carlos in danger? Then you should go quickly." Olivia decisively hung up the phone.
Winnie was about to walk out with her phone to contact Lysander to hire some bodyguards when Rock's tall figure approached, holding her coat. He frowned. "Winnie, I'll go with you. Oscar told me there might be a few people. If Dad is in danger, I won't be at ease either."
Winnie was stunned for a moment, not expecting that Rock and Oscar were still in contact. He hadn't distanced himself at all, nor did he mind her family's issues. She felt slightly moved.
Elliott said to her with satisfaction, "Rock always puts your matters first. Let him go with you. With him there, I'll be at ease too. Your dad's situation is urgent. You should go quickly."
Winnie nodded, quickly walking down the stairs, and Rock drove the car out. After putting her coat on her, he held her hand and got into the car.
At the villa entrance, Elliott watched Winnie with relief and said to Lena, "Thanks to Rock saved Winnie."
Lena was also happy for Winnie, but she couldn't help but worry. "Dad, do you think Mr. Harrington really doesn't mind Winnie and her ex-husband? Men care a lot about a woman's purity, but it seems that Mr. Harrington doesn't mind at all."
Elliott was taken aback, and after a moment of uncertainty, he said, "Maybe Rock loves Winnie too deeply. Don't say such things in front of Winnie."
Lena fell silent.
At the Blanchet family hospital, Rock had Winnie wait in the hallway while he led a group of bodyguards into Carlos's room first.
After a while, they captured two suspicious individuals disguised as medical staff and carried out an unconscious nurse.
Winnie was about to rush in when a long-missed gentle voice, filled with joy, called out to her from behind, "Mommy."
