Chapter 673 Humiliating Bob

Bob sat upright in his wheelchair, looking pale and worn out.

Winnie was shocked to see Bob at the auction.

Across from him, Hellen looked stunning in her gown.

They weren't the happy couple from a wealthy family anymore; Hellen was clinging to a man. Under the light, Winnie recognized him as Ronnie.

Ronnie looked smug, his arm around Hellen's waist.

Hellen showed no shame, beaming with joy as she cozied up to Ronnie.

Winnie hid in the shadows, glancing at Bob with mixed feelings.

Ronnie sneered. "Bob, are you under too much stress? How'd you end up paralyzed? Your company's falling apart, your son's in and out of jail, and everyone else is useless. When Hellen and I visited, why didn't you just die? Death would've saved you the trouble."

"Ronnie, as long as you're alive, I won't die," Bob said, teeth clenched, eyes sharp. "Your thirty-year scheme to ruin the Rodriguez Group won't go unpunished."

"Hellen, do you hear that? He's still talking tough while barely hanging on. Your ex-husband, always thinking he's invincible. Now, near death, he still doesn't get it."

Ronnie walked over, pointing a finger at Bob's nose. "You raised my son for free, I slept with your wife for years, and now Hellen and I are getting married! It's so sad that you are going to sell the Rodriguez estate. Let me help. I have fond memories of that place; Hellen and I conceived Mars there."

"You..." Bob clutched his chest, almost blacking out from rage.

Ronnie smirked, "I'll buy the Rodriguez estate. But if you think the money will help you bounce back, dream on. Your plans are doomed."

"What do you mean?" Bob growled, frowning.

Hellen, holding Ronnie's arm, said coldly, "Bob, after we marry, we'll move into the Rodriguez estate. You and your mother need to leave. We don't want to spend too much, so Ronnie set the base price at 15 billion dollars, with no bids allowed over that. Satisfied? Don't expect the funds you need."

Bob's eyes darkened with disbelief, glaring at Hellen with grief and anger.

'After thirty years of marriage, even a dog wouldn't be so heartless. Hellen truly embodies "heartless," making me sick! They want to live in my estate and even lowered the price.'

He had always run his business with integrity and served in the military with honor, building the Rodriguez Group into a powerhouse.

Bob never imagined Ronnie would stoop so low, scheming all along.

Bob trembled with rage, pounding his wheelchair. "Hellen, don't push me too far! Because of my leniency, I lost the Rodriguez family to you. Now you have everything in Veridiania. Do you really need to ruin me too? You're bound for hell!"

If Lawrence hadn't said the Rodriguez Group needed funds, Bob wouldn't sell the estate for even a trillion dollars. Fifteen billion was a steal. He thought the auction would bring in at least fifty billion, but Ronnie had slashed the price.

The estate would be a discarded pawn, swallowed by them.

Bob's eyes turned bloodshot.

"Curse all you want. You're barely hanging on, just venting your anger," Ronnie said, tossing a wedding invitation onto Bob's head. "If you can live until our wedding without dying of anger, you can come."

They arrogantly walked past Bob.

In the stuffy corridor, the night wind blew in through the window cracks, chilling to the bone.

Bob's once proud back hunched, suddenly looking old and frail. The wedding invitation fell to the ground.

He felt as if a sharp sword had pierced his throat, taking a long time to catch his breath. He closed his reddened eyes and quickly wheeled himself toward the elevator, looking anxious.

Winnie saw the elevator heading to the auction organizer's office. She guessed Bob was going to withdraw the estate from the auction. But at this point, it was impossible, right?

The strong falling into hardship, bullied by the weak.

Winnie felt sympathy, watching him struggle with the elevator, instinctively wanting to help.

But suddenly, a delicate figure rushed over, giving a slight push, and the wheelchair smoothly entered the elevator.

Bob's tense face turned, meeting Melissa's pale, delicate face.

Their eyes met, and Melissa was startled by his deep gaze. She moved her lips but didn't know what to say.

Bob was embarrassed. "Why are you here?"

"I... my grandson wanted to come and play, so I brought him. I just got to the second floor, Mr. Rodriguez. I didn't..."

The elevator doors closed! Bob didn't want to hear anymore, pounding his wheelchair in frustration. He especially didn't want Melissa to see him in such a helpless state.

Although Melissa had nothing to do with him, and they were very distant, his pride was deeply wounded.

Winnie stood at a distance, watching Melissa slowly cover her mouth, tears of sympathy falling as she looked at the closed elevator.

In that moment, Winnie suddenly understood something.

'Melissa had seen Hellen humiliating Bob. Melissa seemed to have feelings for Bob.'

Winnie felt uneasy, quickly hiding herself further. She didn't want to suddenly appear and make Melissa uncomfortable.

After Melissa clenched her fists and left thoughtfully, Winnie hurried back to the box.

Melanie noticed her emotional turmoil, turning to ask, "Winnie, what's wrong? Sit down, the Rodriguez Group estate auction is starting! I wonder what price it will sell for."

Winnie's eyes turned cold.
