Louis's face grew darker.
Jeremy remained unmoved, chuckling softly, "You really are desperate! So your family immediately spread the news that she can't have children, willing to disgrace yourselves in the whole city, just to force me to marry her?"
Jeremy's cold, narrow eyes turned to Louis, daring him to see through the Smith Family's little scheme.
Louis's gaze was sharp and penetrating as he stared at the two from the Smith Family, making them uneasy.
"Mr. DeRoss, we didn't leak the news! All we want is to keep this secret for Lynn! Jeremy, you can't accuse us like this." Noah quickly protested.
Jeremy looked directly at Louis, "Dad, can't you see this is just a roundabout way to force me into marriage?"
"You guys are really going all out."
"But let me tell you, no one has ever threatened me, Jeremy DeRoss, since the day I was born."
"You want to try? Go ahead!"
"Jeremy, what do you mean by this? Lynn's life is hanging by a thread, and everyone in Lymington is watching. Are you really going to abandon her heartlessly? Is this how the DeRoss Family operates?"
"The DeRoss Family is powerful. We can't fight you. But everyone can see the truth. Mr. DeRoss, is this how you raise your son?"
"My daughter was engaged to him for three years, and now she's driven to suicide by Jeremy. If this gets out, can the DeRoss Family still hold their business and status in Lymington?" Noah hinted darkly.
The atmosphere became so tense that you could hear a pin drop.
Jeremy's eyes darkened, and he took a menacing step forward, "You dare to point fingers at the DeRoss Family? If she was driven to suicide by me, then how about you two go join her?"
The Smith Family members were startled by his gaze.
Just as the situation was about to spiral out of control.
"Shut up! You bastard." Louis's voice cut through, his eyes cold as he finally barked at Jeremy, "Come here, I have a few words for you."
"Louis..." Katerina stepped forward, her expression a mix of coldness and pleading.
"No one is to disturb us," Louis commanded again.
Katerina's face froze, growing even colder.
Theodosia glanced at Katerina, a smirk playing on her lips. She wished Jeremy's scandal would blow up even more, making it impossible to contain. Jeremy had finally made a mistake, and her son Sam wouldn't seem so irresponsible in comparison. Ha.
She excitedly walked to the side and picked up her phone to call Sam.
Sam had called her a few days ago, shouting: "Mom, I'm going to pull myself together. I'm going to defeat Jeremy and take over the DeRoss Family's fortune, reclaiming my place as the heir."
Theodosia was shocked, thinking Sam had gone mad.
But she was relieved. After all these years of putting on a show in front of Louis, Sam was finally not a waste. He said someone was helping him and asked her to take care of something quickly.
Theodosia was already working on it, just waiting for Sam to come back and turn everything upside down, especially taking advantage of Jeremy's misfortune. As long as Jeremy disappointed Louis, he would fall out of favor!
He and Katerina would have to go back to Trento City!
The office door closed.
Louis sat on the sofa. He wasn't old, but he still held a black steel cane, which Jeremy knew could shatter a kneecap with one blow.

Louis turned to extinguish his nearly burnt-out cigar, his words merciless, "Jeremy. If you didn't like Lynn, you should have said so earlier. You had three years to speak up! Louis stood up as well, not as tall as Jeremy, but his presence was overwhelming. "Listen carefully, I'm not asking you to be responsible for her. I see through their plans better than you do. I'm asking you to be responsible for the entire DeRoss Family! You didn't handle this well, so you must bear the consequences. Sacrifice your marriage to stabilize the DeRoss Family in Lymington, understand? I don't want to hear any negative voices about the DeRoss Family outside. Louis gripped his cane tightly, a hidden menace in his eyes.

He lifted his chin slightly, his eyes cold and sharp, "I don't care about the DeRoss Family. I'm not someone who sacrifices himself for the family's stability. If I can't be the heir, then find Sam!"

"I'm not my mother, I won't be molded by you!"
"Don't you dare speak about your mother that way."
Jeremy looked at Louis coldly, "I found Adam in Trento City. The King Family is prestigious.
