Chapter 711 Go Find Ishara

'Isn't he supposed to be in bad shape? Now he's helping me deal with Mars,' Winnie thought.

"Winnie, the way Mr. Rodriguez looks at you, it's like he's possessed or something," Melanie said, reminiscing. "He's changed so much. He used to be as cold as ice, totally unapproachable. Remember when he dragged you away at the wedding? I thought he'd never let you go! But now, he listens to you about everything."

Winnie was speechless, thinking, 'Letting me go is probably because of his sexual dysfunction.'

"What changed him so much? Maybe he's hit rock bottom and it's messed with his head?" Melanie speculated.

"Alright, enough with the nonsense," Winnie cut her off, grabbed the oatmeal, and handed it to her.

"Didn't you say you didn't want his food?" Melanie blinked, confused.

"Wasting food is a sin," Winnie said with a cold face. She walked over to throw away the lobster, but the smell made her mouth water.

'Lawrence, this pest,' she thought as she tasted a piece of the lobster. She couldn't stop and finished it all, then touched her slightly bulging belly, regretting her weak willpower.

In the parking lot, Lawrence had just opened the car door when Mars's cold laughter echoed behind him, "Lawrence, you really disrespected me back there."

"Yeah, that's me. I'll show you respect when I mourn for you," Lawrence's cold smile was chilling.

Mars was momentarily stunned, clenching his fists, then let out a sinister laugh, "In this lifetime, I'll mourn for you first. Lawrence, you really don't get it. But you will."

He sneered and kicked Lawrence's car door before getting into his own car.

Lawrence glanced at the shoe print on his car, his cold brows furrowing slightly, and closed the door. Shortly after driving out of the hospital, he felt he was being followed as six cars suddenly surrounded him.

His cold eyes narrowed, no hint of amusement. He gripped the steering wheel tightly and punched the gas pedal, the engine roaring.

The two cars on either side weren't backing down, crashing towards him.

Lawrence quickly turned the steering wheel. His car threaded through a narrow gap between three cars like a bolt of lightning, causing one of the cars to crash into the one in front.

The three cars collided instantly.

Lawrence's thin lips curved into a smile as he swiftly changed lanes and sped away.

The three cars that collided were severely damaged.

The injured driver in one of the cars angrily slammed the steering wheel and dialed Mars's number, speaking humbly, "Mr. Martin, we failed. He got away."

"Useless," Mars cursed, furious.

In the hospital, Winnie took care of Melanie, helping her wash up, and then remembered she hadn't told Rock about this. She walked out of the ward and called him. "Rock, I'm sorry. Melanie fell from the second floor of the mall and is in the hospital. I have to take care of her, so I can't move in with you today."

"It's okay," Rock's gentle voice came through. "Need any help? Is Ms. Stewart alright?"

"I got it covered. She's fine."

"Alright." Rock paused, remembering Mars's call earlier, and asked casually, "Winnie, I heard Mr. Jenkins has a daughter with Ms. Stewart. Is that true?"

Winnie tensed up. "Rock, how do you know about this?"

Rock, hearing her tone, confirmed and quickly found an excuse. "It's been spreading around Trento City. I've heard about it. Didn't Mr. Jenkins frequently visit the Blanchet Family company recently? And I heard that after Ms. Stewart got injured today, Mr. Jenkins immediately changed his travel plans."

Winnie frowned, thinking, 'So, the rumors are that widespread? Bentley has been approaching Melanie, leaving traces for some people. And Anna does look a lot like Melanie.'

Winnie sighed. "Rock, Melanie lost part of her memory. She doesn't know about this yet and probably can't accept Bentley. Don't mention it in front of her."

"I see," Rock noted, his tone meaningful. "Ms. Stewart has really had a tough time. Who would've thought she is Mr. Jenkins's daughter's mother? Her status will surely rise in the future. Winnie, take good care of her. We can have a good relationship with the Jenkins Family."

Winnie frowned. "Even if we don't cooperate with the Jenkins Family, I'll still take care of Melanie. As for her having a better life, that's still uncertain. We don't know the complications between Melanie and Bentley."

Sensing her resistance, Rock quickly changed his tone. "You're right. You two rest well!"

"You, too." After hanging up, Winnie stared at her phone in a daze, thinking, 'Am I being too sensitive? Rock's words hint that I should use Melanie to build a good relationship with the Jenkins Family. He shouldn't be such a materialistic person. Besides, I think Melanie is very independent and doesn't care about marrying into a wealthy family. Others might not understand us, but Rock has been with me for so long, doesn't he understand? His words are strange.'

Taking a deep breath, Winnie stopped dwelling on it and sent Oscar a goodnight message. Oscar replied that he was with Lena, and Winnie went to sleep at ease.

Meanwhile, after shaking off those people Mars sent, Lawrence didn't go home. Instead, he went to the police station. Melanie's fall had already been filed this afternoon.

However, the police hadn't found many clues. Witnesses only saw a large dog, but no one saw who pushed Melanie.

Bentley was currently abroad and couldn't come back, so he entrusted Lawrence to investigate.

Lawrence felt there was no need to investigate, thinking Winnie's suspicion might be correct. He would eventually have to find Ishara and settle this.

"Bryan, find out where Ishara is now," Lawrence said coldly.

In no time, Bryan provided an address for a small villa.

Lawrence headed there.

Inside the villa, Ishara had just finished a shower when the housekeeper ran over saying someone was knocking on the door.

Ishara's eyes turned cold as she wondered, 'This villa is very secluded, and I haven't told anyone I am staying here recently. Who can know I am here?'

"Did you ask who was knocking?" she asked the housekeeper warily.
