Chapter 242 Three Years Later.

Mr. L was in bad shape, on the verge of falling ill. It seemed like he saw the child as a lifeline. Even though the little rascal was always in the incubator, critically ill every few days, he refused to give up and tirelessly stayed by his side. Island Electronics stopped caring.

In this situation, Darcy seemed forgotten by him and couldn't get close to him at all. There was no chance to kill that brat!

Finally, after six months, the little one came out of the incubator. Mr. L finally smiled, a handsome man with a scruffy beard, captivating and despondent.

But even then, Darcy still couldn't get close to the child. Mr. L took the child to an old lady's house and personally took care of him day and night, feeding him, changing his diapers, never letting anyone else help.

In such a situation, Darcy had to change her strategy. The child was still young, only a few months old. If she raised him as her own and let him grow up calling her "Mom" after she had killed Winnie, wouldn't that be a victory? It would also firmly hold Mr. L's heart.

Darcy did so and gained some of the man's trust and goodwill. She could finally cautiously approach his long-closed heart.

One night, after the child finished nursing and fell asleep weakly, Darcy found the man in his study, where he had resumed working. She wanted to have a serious conversation about their future.

Lawrence R had become indifferent to everything. When the gentle and timid woman looked at him, she leaned into his embrace and said,

"Mr. L, although I can wait indefinitely for a place in your heart, I can't help but worry that if you continue to isolate yourself like this, you'll only torment yourself."

"I can't bear to see you continuously hurt yourself. Please, even for Sidney's sake, can you come out of this shell? He needs a normal father, a mother, a complete family. You should move on from her. She really isn't worth your thoughts. Even hating her isn't worth it. There's no mother in the world who is that heartless..."

"You're overthinking." Lawrence R closed his files, his handsome face becoming cold, his presence becoming foreboding.

Darcy held her breath, as if she had nothing to lose, and kissed his jawline, pleadingly infatuated.

"If you still hate her and want revenge, wouldn't the best way be to fall in love with another woman, live a good life with her, and regain happiness? Wouldn't that be the cruelest?"

Her words seemed to awaken him from a dream. He looked at Darcy with an impenetrable gaze. She had a beautiful face and an attractive figure. He had a flicker of profound coldness in his eyes.

Darcy's rosy lips continued downwards, locking onto his sexy Adam's apple, urgently whispering, "I'm worth it, Mr. L, I'm worth...

"Your gaze is mine." Lawrence said.

"You're right." Lawrence closed his eyes, feeling somewhat exhausted, but more than anything, he was filled with deep hatred. He held onto her, tracing her red lips, and urged himself to kiss her with some madness.

"To not be able to love such a wonderful woman like you is a sickness that I must cure. The best revenge is to fall in love with you, the three of us living happily together."

"Take good care of Sidney, Darcy. You are his mother now."

The man squinted his eyes and kissed her, his movements somewhat stiff and restrained, yet he didn't let go. Darcy gasped, fully aware of the weight behind those words!

With flushed cheeks, she tilted her head back and closed her eyes, inwardly triumphant, thinking that Winnie must be furious even in her grave.

A failed plan, with two lives lost!

Three years later—

Abroad.

In the examination room of a medical school, just as dawn broke.

The male doctor carefully tapped on the woman's knees. "Miss Anderson, after three years of struggle, your cold toxins have finally been mostly eliminated. However, the aftereffects will accompany you for a lifetime. Remember not to stand in cold winds for long, and do not expose your legs to icy water, as it can cause unbearable pain."

The woman, who hadn't seen sunlight for years, had a face that was as fair as snow, her entire skin as white as jade. She was so beautiful that she seemed as if she would break with just a touch.

She stood up and hopped a little, her light voice carrying a hoarseness that seemed permanently scarred, but it made her even more captivating. "I understand. Don't forget that I am your senior sister in this medical school, but even doctors need doctors. I need you to administer the treatment."

"You're just being stubborn. What's so urgent that you want to interrupt your treatment? You're the shining star of our hospital. I heard that you transferred your medical license back to our country?" the doctor asked making casual conversation.

"I received a case from back home." The woman replied ambiguously, picking up her boxing gloves in a cold and detached manner before walking into the rehabilitation room.

The male doctor shook his head and sighed. Three years ago, Miss Anderson was a patient who had almost died after giving birth. In these three years, she had been pushing herself too hard and aiming for quick success.

At seven o'clock, Winnie returned to the European-style villa courtyard.

George was watering the flowers. He was deaf and mute, but he could communicate with them through writing.

Winnie entered the living room with breakfast. Lena stood on the stairs and gestured with her index finger, her delicate and gentle appearance saying, "Winnie, Oscar is still lazying around in bed."

"That lazy pig." Winnie chuckled, but there was a trace of tenderness in her eyes.

Last night, Oscar had an asthma attack and it took until dawn for him to fall asleep. She walked into the small bedroom. Her son's tiny body was curled up under the blanket.

His sleeping position was neat, and his features were delicately handsome like a little prince. His slender body, however, had been nurtured by her to be plump and rosy.

For a moment, a coldness flashed in her eyes. She dared not recall the past three years and how she managed to raise her child to be so healthy.

That night, filled with resentment, she had jumped into the sea, carried by the waves to the reefs. The final will to survive made her hold her child high above the water, fighting against the drowning sea that constantly engulfed her, struggling and gasping.

Her legs, immersed in the chill of the spring water for too long, were at the verge of becoming permanently disabled.

But fate didn't take her away. She was saved by an unexpected person...

Later, Rock was released and finally found her hiding abroad.
In secret, he helped Winnie find Lena, and the mother and son were barely alive, hiding here for three years.

To cure Oscar's asthma, which was caused by the cold, and her own leg disease, Winnie turned to traditional Chinese medicine again.

Coincidentally, Lena's mother's old servant, George, had been by her side the whole time. Winnie had sent Daniel to find George, but she didn't expect that George would follow her uncle abroad and stay for ten years.

George had a few medical books left by Lena's mother.

It was these powerful medical books that made Winnie become a master of Dry Needling at the hospital and gain some reputation in the past three years.

"..." The memories seemed both long and short.

The pain and struggle kept her from sleeping day and night. Every time she closed her eyes, she would see every detail of that night.

She needed time to recuperate. But that bitch couple, they were too ostentatious and didn't give her any time!

Three years later, they were about to have a grand wedding.

But her uncle in prison had suddenly been falsely accused of murder, and his lifelong imprisonment turned into a death sentence. Was this the "gift" arranged by Darcy?

Eternity Jewelry Co., Ltd, which had been drifting aimlessly, was about to be auctioned off again in three years.

Olivia, who had been captured and humiliated by Darcy, had her photos maliciously exposed, leading to the Smith family being targeted and Olivia being blacklisted. After her humiliation, Olivia unexpectedly became pregnant.

In these three years, she didn't dare to contact anyone, but she also heard from Rock that Olivia was forced to give birth and the child was already two years old.

Just thinking about this, Winnie's hatred couldn't be concealed anymore. The culprit behind all of this was Darcy.

How could she let this woman go! She had to settle accounts with this bitch couple for everything they had done. It was time to return to the country.

"Sis, you must find a way to save my father from the death penalty," Lena said anxiously.
"Naturally, on this trip back, I not only want to save my loved ones and friends but also seek revenge!" Winnie reassured Lena as she held her hand, her almond-shaped eyes filled with a cold and lazy look—
