Chapter 764 Parent-Child Activity
Sidney's tone revealed a hint of sly excitement.
"Hot springs?" Winnie frowned.
"Yeah, Daddy said that soaking in hot springs after outdoor activities in winter is the best way to relax. Oscar and I have never been to a hot spring, so we both want to try it."
Although Winnie thought that soaking in hot springs after playing soccer was a reasonable arrangement by Lawrence for the kids.
But why invite her?
If she agreed, she would have to wear a swimsuit and meet Lawrence.
Just thinking about that scene made her blush. She absolutely wouldn't.
"Sidney, after you finish these activities, send me the address, and I'll come pick you and Oscar up."
"But Daddy said it would be very late by then, and Oscar and I want you to come to play soccer with us. Those are family activities."
A hint of guilt flashed across Winnie's face. Since bringing Oscar back to the country, she hadn't really participated in any activities with Lawrence and the kids.
The kids had a longing for family activities, which was very normal.
Could she really be so cruel as to refuse and not fulfill their wishes?
"Mommy, please come." Suddenly, Oscar's voice came from the other end of the phone.
Winnie was surprised. Oscar explained awkwardly, "Mainly because Sidney looks so expectant. Although family activities are childish, I don't want to ruin his fun. Besides, after observing for two days, Lawrence and the Rodriguez Family have been pretty nice to me."
Winnie was stunned. It was really not easy to make Oscar show a good face.
Oscar had a lot of resentment towards Lawrence. How did Lawrence manage to win him over so quickly?
She was both curious and a bit jealous, but she could only agree to Oscar, "Alright then, we'll talk about the afternoon when we meet."
Around three in the afternoon, as she was getting ready to leave, Lawrence sent her the address of the soccer field via Bryan's WhatsApp.
Lawrence also called her to repeat, "Winnie, do you want to come to the soccer field to watch the boys play, or go directly to the place where we'll have dinner? I can send you the location for dinner."
"Stop talking."
Winnie was suddenly uncomfortable with his considerate manner.
They weren't that kind of couple; they were just reluctantly doing family activities for the kids.
She drove to the international soccer field.
When she arrived, the entire soccer field was empty, apparently booked by Lawrence.
Sidney and Oscar, dressed in tiny soccer uniforms, were happily playing soccer on the green grass. After all, they were two boys, full of energy.
And the man standing nearby, in a white soccer uniform, his vest outlining his even muscles, strong arms, and very powerful legs, looked incredibly attractive in the sunlight.
Winnie glanced at him and was stunned.
She had never seen Lawrence in professional sportswear.
He looked even younger and more energetic than the handsome college students in the university gym.
He also had an added touch of mature male sexiness.
She quickly looked away.
But Lawrence was just too eye-catching. Standing there casually, he constantly drew people's attention.
He was balancing a soccer ball on his toe, teaching the boys how to play. When he saw Winnie arrive out of the corner of his eye, he immediately left the kids, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and walked over in big strides, "Winnie!"
Winnie swallowed, even his casual gesture of wiping sweat was so effortlessly handsome.
Was he deliberately trying to seduce her?
She shook her head, feeling exasperated with herself, and deliberately put on a stern face, "Lawrence, in such cold weather, letting the boys sweat so much, from a doctor's perspective, it's very easy to catch a cold, you know?"
"Mommy!" Sidney ran over happily, also sweating, "It's okay. Daddy has been changing our sweat towels, see."
Sidney tugged at his collar.
It had their names embroidered on it.
Seeing Winnie's surprised look, Lawrence's lips curved slightly, "Their grandmother embroidered it for them. She spent two days on it. She said the two boys look alike, so the clothes needed names to tell them apart."
The Rodriguez Family indeed treated the kids well.
Winnie's feelings were complicated. As their biological mother, she had never done anything so meticulous.
She was stubborn, "What's so hard to tell apart? I'm their mom; I can tell them apart with my eyes closed."
"They're not exactly the same. Oscar seems gentle, Sidney seems cold, but in reality, it's the opposite in their hearts." Lawrence agreed, analyzing.
Winnie glanced at him, "Are you done playing?"
"No, Mommy, we still want you to join!" Sidney took a sip of water.
Oscar ran over from a distance and immediately noticed Winnie's high heels, "Sidney, Mommy's shoes aren't suitable, forget it."
"Oh, right. Mommy, why didn't you wear sneakers?"
Winnie looked down and patted her tight pants, "I left in a hurry and forgot."
"Your mommy is used to dressing for work. Dressed like this, her legs look long and nice." Lawrence, standing nearby, looked at her deeply.
Winnie blushed. He was just making an objective comment, but she felt it had a hint of a man appreciating a woman.
She glared at Lawrence, too lazy to respond.
She walked over and took Oscar's hand, "Oscar, how have you been staying at the Rodriguez Villa these past two days?"
As soon as she asked, Lawrence also became nervous, looking at Oscar.
In fact, the entire Rodriguez Family had been frantically trying to please Oscar these past few days, afraid he would develop resistance.
"Not bad." Oscar's proud little face showed a hint of indifference.
Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief. Oscar had such a deep grudge against him that even saying 'not bad' felt like high praise. His lips curved, "Oscar, I'll ask your grandpa and great-grandma to make some improvements when we get back, so next time you stay, you'll have a very satisfying experience."
Oscar rolled his eyes at Lawrence, thinking, 'The one who needs improvement is you, the bad guy!'
But he didn't say anything, not wanting to make Winnie feel awkward.
Anyway, Winnie and Lawrence were impossible.
"As long as you're feeling okay, that's good." Winnie smiled and rubbed his little face.
In fact, she didn't come today to take the two boys back. If Oscar could continue staying at the Rodriguez Villa, Winnie wanted to let the boys stay there for now.
That way, she wouldn't have any worries and could face Rock alone to investigate Sierra's death and Olivia's disappearance.
"Since we're done playing, Daddy will take you two to the locker room to shower and change clothes. After dinner, we can go to the hot springs early." Lawrence threw the soccer ball into the basket and looked at Winnie gently, "Winnie, wait here for us."
