Chapter 964 The Fetus Is Still There

Louis wanted to see Mia, and Jeremy was dead set on taking her away.

Olivia felt a bit uneasy.

Jeremy's intense gaze swept over Olivia's slightly pale face. He knew exactly what she was thinking—resistance, fear that he would take Mia away.

Instead...

Jeremy decided to play along, his deep voice shifting tone. "You're right, the DeRoss Family has better medical facilities, perfect for Mia's recovery and care. Let's get her discharged."

"But Jeremy... I want Mia to stay in the hospital, to be with her grandfather!" Olivia's voice was filled with anxiety.

Jeremy's eyes darkened slightly, showing some difficulty. "Olivia, you saw it yourself. My father is pressuring me, and no one dares to go against his orders.

Actually, it would be better if you came back to the DeRoss Villa with me and explained it to my father together. That way, you wouldn't have to be separated from Mia."

"...I'm not going." Olivia rejected the idea without hesitation.

Going to the DeRoss Family with him? What would that mean? She lowered her eyes.

Mia actually wanted to see Jeremy's home and meet Louis!

But Olivia didn't want to go, which made Mia feel a bit sad. "Mommy, I kind of want to go to the DeRoss Villa... but of course, if you don't go, I won't go! Then I'll just have to go against Daddy and Grandpa's wishes. I wonder if Grandpa will dislike me for that in the future?"

Olivia clenched her clothes, glaring at Mia for using reverse psychology!

Jeremy raised an eyebrow, surprised that Mia was already siding with him on their first day of meeting.

Jeremy felt a bit proud, and his eyes softened as he looked at Olivia. His voice became even lower and persuasive. "Come with me to the DeRoss Villa. Do you think the conditions in the hospital are better than what we have at the DeRoss Villa?

And is it safe?

You know, Lynn's family hasn't been caught yet. Mia was just kidnapped; you don't want any more accidents, do you?"

He hit Olivia right in her weak spot.

It seemed like Jeremy had Lynn under control?

But her parents were still out there! Olivia couldn't bear any more accidents.

Thinking about it, the current situation was still unclear. It seemed that sending Mia to his home was the only way to ensure her safety.

Her mind was struggling, and her body, tense and resisting him, felt weak.

She felt dizzy, but she still refused to agree.

Suddenly, a voice came from the door. "Olivia, Jeremy's arrangement is right. It's not very safe outside right now. If you let Mia stay here, I'm afraid you won't be able to prevent anything."

Olivia looked over sharply. Winnie had arrived!

She thought of Jake, her face pale as she walked over to ask, "Why are you back? What about my dad's transplant surgery..."

Winnie gave her a small smile. "The heart transplant took several hours and is complete, but Mr. Smith's condition is still uncertain.

We need to observe for about three days to see if there will be any rejection. Rejection can be mild or severe. Olivia, it all depends on whether Mr. Smith can pull through."

Olivia's face lost its color.

She didn't know if this was good news or bad news.

Her eyes became misty. "I hope Dad can accept the new heart and wake up soon."

"So, to give him peace of mind, you need to take care of yourself and Mia."

Winnie said to her, catching a grateful look from Jeremy out of the corner of her eye.

She glanced at him with her almond-shaped eyes. Jeremy cleared his throat and said firmly, "Since Winnie thinks you should go to the DeRoss Villa with Mia, you shouldn't refuse!

If you're out there alone, I can't know immediately if something happens. I won't allow it."

"Yeah, Mommy, I can't be without you. If I go to the DeRoss Villa and you don't, I'll be scared of those strangers." Mia quickly backed Jeremy up.

Olivia felt cornered.

She didn't want to go, but Winnie was siding with Jeremy.

She looked at Winnie with a sense of betrayal, wondering why she was interfering.

Winnie coughed lightly. What could she do? It was hard enough for these two to recognize each other. With a chance now, and Jeremy pushing for marriage, if she didn't help now, when would she?

Their current state was tense and needed a breakthrough!

Jeremy was determined to keep Mia with him.

Olivia might have many emotions and grievances.

But she didn't know that she hadn't lost the baby. This was their second child... Could Olivia run away? Just for the sake of the child, she had no other choice.

Women always have to give more and suffer more than men.

Winnie thought about their future, which might become clearer, and sighed silently. "I know you want to stay in the hospital for your dad, but you're not like me with medical skills. You can't help if something happens.

Look at yourself, you can barely stand. There are so many friends and family here to help. Take care of yourself first!"

She said, supporting Olivia.

But despite Winnie's quick reflexes, the weak Olivia still fell towards the edge of the sofa. Olivia had felt dizzy earlier, and now, with her emotions running high, she couldn't catch her breath.

"Olivia."

"Olivia!"

Winnie and Jeremy called out to her, but her vision went black.

Jeremy put Mia down and immediately walked over to pick up Olivia.

Winnie quickly checked Olivia, finding that her emotional and physical exhaustion had affected the baby.

She hadn't slept last night, watching over Mia. Now, with such agitation, it was no wonder she fainted.

"What's wrong with her?" Jeremy asked, worried. "Why did she faint?"

Winnie glanced at him, her eyelashes fluttering, thinking. Finally, she said, "Think about it. She hasn't slept for days, running around because of Lynn. Last night, she almost lost her life. How could she not faint?"

"Just because of that? No other issues?" Jeremy thought about her miscarriage and wondered if it was a side effect.

Jeremy's face darkened.

Winnie didn't notice. She thought it wasn't the right time to reveal that Olivia was still pregnant and had fainted due to the unstable pregnancy.

If Olivia woke up and found out she had been deceived, she might blame her.

It was better to wait until Olivia and Jeremy's relationship improved. With so much going on, it wasn't the right time for honesty.

She pursed her lips and advised, "Nothing serious. Take her to the DeRoss Villa, let her rest well. Remember, no medication, no doctors!

After a good sleep, she'll be fine. Give her some nourishing soup."

"Are you sure that'll work?"
