Chapter 406 Lawrence Goes to Trento City

Her intoxicated appearance made him want to take advantage of her vulnerability. He couldn't control himself. The moment he tasted her, he quickly lost his sanity. The desire in his body instantly burned and intensified.  He had forgotten long ago, whether this was right or wrong.  With his long legs pressing against her slender legs, biting her passionately, intense emotions overflowed in his eyes. He asked her with a pained and gentle voice, "What if it's just a dream, Winnie? Can I do this?"  Winnie hummed uneasily, confused by the question. The alcohol clouded her thoughts, and her body's instinct made her feel dizzy and restless. "Not even in a dream! Lawrence, I hate you so much, hate you to the bone. I won't..."  Winnie's voice trailed off before she could finish her sentence. It made Lawrence wonder that perhaps she was trying to say that she won't forgive him. He didn't want to hear any more hurtful words from her, even her drunk confession revealed her hatred toward him. It seemed like he truly didn't have a chance anymore.  His hand landed on her chest, hesitating whether to go down on her or not. But the flames in his body surged, making him numb. Her captivating allure stirred his Adam's apple, even though he clearly knew he shouldn't.  Nevertheless, he still took action. The clothes tore apart, and Winnie looked up and moaned. In front of her, he realized he couldn't resist succumbing to his desires.

"This is the last time, even in a dream, don't scream." He gently covered her mouth and resumed the wet kisses, lost in her confused yet longing gaze. "I'll be gentle. When you wake up, you won't remember. You will only remember hating me."  He instantly became tear-eyed as he lifted the delicate and beautiful woman into his arms.  After two hours of chaotic passion, Lawrence carried the woman out of the bathtub and gently placed her in the bedroom next to Sidney. He looked at her flushed face for several moments before he walked toward the door.  "I'm sorry." Lawrence's deep voice shattered in the air, his cold and handsome face losing all expression. "I have to leave."  The dark night fell silent like water.  -  In the morning, Winnie woke up from fragments of a dream. She got up in a daze, with a headache and a particularly sore body.  The man in her dream... His brows and eyes were filled with pain, but he held her hand, not allowing her to refuse, folding her waist and kissing her gently, rendering her voiceless...  Blushing slightly, Winnie furrowed her brows and, instinctively, pulled the blanket open. Her clothes were neatly folded.  "Mummy..." Sydney poked his little head out from under the blanket.  Winnie was taken aback, her eyes widened in confusion. "Baby, how did you end up here with me?"  "Daddy sent me here last night. He's leaving Lymington. He wanted me to be with you during this difficult time," Sidney replied, conveying his father's message in the hope of comforting his mother.  Winnie was stunned. Pondering to herself, she mused, 'Leave Lymington? But wait, the crucial question remains: Did Lawrence really come to my house? Is this untimely dream of mine real or just an illusion?'  Blushing at her own thoughts, Winnie abruptly got up from bed. Her body felt strange. She rushed into the bathroom, her face wrinkled as she undressed, examining herself in the mirror but there were no traces of any ambiguous marks on her body.  He was so forceful, and every time they were together, her body would be covered in bruises. Winnie felt frustrated. Last night's memories were fragmented, and she wasn't sure if she had actually been with Lawrence.

The fact that they both hated each other so much when they were awake made it seem impossible. But if she was drunk and he took advantage of the situation, in that moment of chaos... Winnie cursed inwardly, realizing she couldn't just ask directly about it. She worried that she was just a passing fling in his eyes, and if he found out, it would only reinforce her inability to forget him.  Shaking off her distress, Winnie decided to stop thinking about it and quickly got ready, preparing breakfast for her son.  Sidney who still didn't know how to brush his teeth properly, ran over to Winni with foam on his little mouth as he asked, "Mommy, I told you that Daddy has left Lymington. Why don't you ask him where he went?"  "It's none of my business," she replied coldly.  Sadness filled Sidney's heart as he mentally cursed his despicable father. After finishing breakfast, Winnie sent Sidney next door to Lena where she would take him to the hospital to visit Madam Rodriguez.  Elliott called out to Winnie, pointing at Sidney, and advised her, "Winnie, your father knows you have a child now. He really wants to meet his grandson. He's staying nearby in this apartment. Can you please arrange to talk to him?"  Sidney raised his curious gaze. However, Winnie still asked Lena to take him away. She sighed softly and said, "It's not necessary. Since I've decided not to go back to the Blanchet family..."  "Winnie, please think about it carefully. There were many suspicious points surrounding your mother's death from poisoning in Lymington."  In that moment, George approached with furrowed brows, signing with his hands as he recalled, "We initially thought the Anderson family was behind the poisoning, but later we suspected that the Ordelia family was the one pulling the strings. I distinctly remember your mother receiving numerous calls from Trento City while she was seriously ill. Although we didn't know the caller's identity, each call left her furious, leading to a heart attack that required multiple rounds of resuscitation to save her.

"Now, upon reflection, I am certain that the Ordelia family was not the one making those calls. While the Ordelia family is indeed the main adversary of your mother because of her father, it wasn't any of the direct members who made the calls. So, who could have enraged her so much? Plus, the only person on her mind at that time was Carlos."  Winnie suddenly paused, wondering whether anyone apart from the Ordelia family could have caused her mother's death. And this someone else could very well be within the Blanchet family. The first-person Winnie thought of was Carlos's current wife.  George continued, "What I mean is, if you want to understand what happened back then, you have to go back to the Blanchet family." The main reason he brought up this old story was due to Carlos's words yesterday. If Winnie were to be targeted by the Blanchet family, she'd be better off going back to the Blanchet family.  Winnie didn't understand George's intentions and just fell into deep thought.  She thought the enmity was with the Ordelia family regarding her mother's death, and she made them pay a certain price as well. However, if it wasn't them, it would change everything. -  Winnie arrived at Triton Company and noticed that many female employees were not working; instead, they were engrossed in gossip.  Upon seeing her, they called out her name while giving her strange looks.  "What's going on?" Winnie asked Mr. Nelson as she walked.  Mr. Nelson accompanied her into the office, closed the door, and took out a tablet. "You don't know? Your ex-husband, Lawrence, is making headlines today! He turned out to be the heir of the Rodriguez family, a business empire. His true identity has been revealed, and my goodness, now he is the richest man in the world! As Bob's son, he has control over the domestic market. His private jet landed directly in Trento City, and everyone from the Rodriguez family came to greet him. Just look at the magnitude of the reception."  Winnie was taken aback, her subtle gaze falling on the news on the tablet. A man stood tall and composed at the cabin door, clad in a finely tailored suit that accentuated his long, captivating legs. With one hand unbuttoning his suit, he had a cold and stern demeanor as he was about to disembark. His dark, narrow eyes were slightly squinted, emitting an aura of danger and unfathomable mystery, even through the lens. Despite his seemingly usual appearance and demeanor, amidst the backdrop of Trento City's airport, his background and status took on an extraordinary significance. Island Electronics Corporation had already endowed him with immeasurable influence, but the words "Lawrence from the Rodriguez family" gave him the utmost prominence within the country.  He rose to become an unbeatable presence, overlooking the world.  In an instant, Winnie felt that he was far away from her. Her eyelashes trembled, suggesting Lawrence had gone back to Trento City after leaving Lymington. It seems he might inherit billions from his family.  She silently put down her tablet, intending to calm down when at that moment, Olivia's call came.
