Chapter 785 Rock Snatched the Child
Jeremy felt a strange sensation flash through his mind. He hadn't expected Olivia to come looking for him all alone.
Was she worried about him? Did she think he had disappeared?
A dark smile unconsciously crossed his thin lips. Jeremy swallowed and asked, "So, you didn't do anything to Olivia, did you?"
Adam was at a loss for words. He hadn't done anything to Olivia.
The question was, did Alvin even know what he did to her?
Alvin didn't remember again!
This was quite unfair to Olivia, who had been with Alvin for several days. Judging by Alvin's condition, his fever had almost subsided.
"What could I possibly do to her?" Adam rolled his eyes internally. "The problem is, she..."
"What happened to her?" Jeremy asked, looking tense but clueless.
Seeing his clueless expression, Adam wasn't sure how Jeremy would react if he told him that he and Olivia had been intimate for several days.
Maybe Alvin didn't even like Olivia. Telling him might just make him angry.
Forget it, let the young people figure it out themselves.
Olivia would probably demand an explanation from Alvin. He would find out sooner or later.
"Nothing much, Ms. Smith suffered some external injuries. She'll probably need a few days on Azure Isle to recover before she can get out of bed," Adam said awkwardly, with a meaningful look.
Jeremy didn't catch Adam's implication and frowned, guessing, "Did she get hurt falling into the sea on her way here?"
Adam really couldn't believe that Jeremy didn't remember being intimate with Olivia.
He coughed into his hand, "Yeah, something like that."
"Where are we now? Are we close to leaving Azure Isle?" Jeremy turned to look at the sea. "How many days have I been here?"
"Over twenty days. Ms. Smith has been here for about ten days."
Jeremy was anxious, thinking about Lawrence. He frowned and said, "Adam, I want to go back to Trento City immediately to meet with Lawrence. As for Olivia, she can stay here to recover. I'll come back to get her after I meet with Lawrence."
'What kind of decision is that? Typical 'bros before hoes' mentality,' Adam thought to himself.
But he didn't say anything, instead raising an eyebrow, "What did Lawrence do to make you value him so much? Alvin, I don't understand why you follow him. Even if he's the top young master in Veridiania, he's still not as good as you. I'm the financial backer behind the president."
Jeremy raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Adam, I've had a bond with Lawrence for many years. You're my mother's brother, and you're the president's financial backer, but that has little to do with me."
"Back when I was in Lymington, just starting as the heir to the DeRoss Family, I ran into trouble. If it weren't for Lawrence saving me, I would have been dead. I swore then that I would work for him for the rest of my life, no matter what."
"A sentimental fool," Adam shook his head and sighed.
"Anyway, I want you to give the NexaCore Group partnership to Lawrence to help him," Jeremy pleaded. "If you really can't stand Lawrence, let me handle it. This important partnership can't go to Lawrence's enemies."
"You haven't even figured out the situation in Trento City and you're already getting involved? Lawrence did give me a confidential chip technology. To be honest, I was quite impressed by the monopoly he holds. But I haven't responded to him at all. I've heard he's been trying to meet with me these past few days, desperately seeking a partnership." Adam sneered.
Alvin had regained his memory. So, some things were beyond his control as an uncle.
Adam wasn't stupid; in fact, he was very smart. At the banquet that day, he could tell that Ronnie and Mars from the Peterson Family were not good characters. They were always trying to frame Lawrence.
The Rodriguez Family had fallen, and Jeremy would probably help Lawrence. He couldn't stop him.
As long as Lawrence didn't harm Alvin, Adam didn't hate Lawrence that much.
"Fine, if you want to see Lawrence, steer the boat towards the private airport," Adam finally nodded.
"Thank you." Jeremy sat on the deck, his wet, muscular body chilled by the cold wind. He felt a sense of relief.
His disappearance must have had a significant negative impact on Lawrence.
He needed to go back, quickly understand the situation in Trento City, and help Lawrence.
In the villa on Azure Isle.
Olivia had breakfast and curled up in bed, her stomach aching terribly. She couldn't move.
She waited until noon. Where was Jeremy?
Wasn't he supposed to talk to Adam about the partnership for Lawrence?
Why did he leave and not come back? She was so hungry. Didn't he care about her?
Olivia bit her lip, her face red with anger. How many more things was Jeremy going to do to irritate her?
Leaving her here like this, what was that about? She wondered how his talk with Adam went.
He had lost his memory and didn't recognize Lawrence anymore, nor did he care about Lawrence's matters.
Olivia sighed, cursing Jeremy hundreds of times in her mind.
In Trento City.
Winnie hid in Melanie's apartment for an entire night, barely sleeping.
First, because of the physical pain. Her face was swollen badly, and even hot compresses didn't help.
Second, because her mind was in turmoil. The more she thought about her suspicions regarding Rock, the colder she felt.
The next day, she was afraid Rock would go to the Blanchet Group to find her, so she didn't go to the company or The Triton Company. She could only stay here and secretly heal.
Lawrence had sent her several messages after she didn't reply last night, but Winnie didn't respond.
She wanted to protect herself for now.
But in the afternoon, she received an unexpected call from Melissa.
Melissa sounded anxious on the phone, "Winnie, sorry to bother you. This afternoon, I took the kids to the kindergarten that Lawrence had checked out, an international school. But just as we finished talking to the teacher and were about to leave, Rock suddenly stopped us!"
"He claimed he was there to take the kids, saying Oscar and Sidney are his children from his legal marriage with you, and that he is their guardian. But Lawrence had already filled in his name in the father's column."
"Now the kindergarten teacher is confused and is asking who the real father of the two kids is. I've already notified Lawrence, and he's on his way. I'm worried he might get into a fight with Rock over the kids. Can you come quickly?"
After Melissa finished speaking, Winnie had a headache.
She remembered Lawrence discussing sending Sidney and Oscar to kindergarten with her.
He had even invited her to check out the school, but she had declined.
She hadn't expected Lawrence to arrange everything so quickly.
But why would Rock suddenly go after Oscar and Sidney? Was it because he couldn't find her these past few days?
Winnie frowned deeply, quickly got up, found a mask to cover her face, and then drove to the international kindergarten Melissa had mentioned.
