Chapter 911 Lynn Left a Thought
"Olivia, how the hell did you get in here?!" Lynn gasped, completely caught off guard as Olivia's hands tightened around her throat.
"Let go of me..." Lynn struggled, slapping at Olivia's iron grip.
But Olivia's hands were like steel, radiating a terrifying hatred. Lynn's face turned purple as she struggled to breathe, her legs kicking out in desperation. "Olivia, my parents are in the hospital! Help!"
Olivia covered Lynn's mouth with disdain. Lynn flailed like a dying fish.
"If I dared to come here, do you think I care about your vile parents? We can all go down together today."
"Olivia, you shouldn't have messed with my father. If you have a problem with me, come at me directly. Today, I'm going to give you a taste of your own medicine."
Olivia's sinister smile deepened as she noticed Lynn's bandaged wrist. Her eyes flared with rage as she pressed down on it.
"What are you doing?!" Lynn's wrist, already cut and painful, throbbed under Olivia's touch.
Olivia stared at the bandage. "I saw the news. You pretended to be disabled for Jeremy's sake, claiming you'd never use your wrist again. How about I make that a reality?"
She turned and grabbed a fruit knife from the bedside table. Lynn's eyes widened in horror.
She realized Olivia had lost it.
Frantically, Lynn looked around the room, noticing the absence of her parents and the nurse. She backed away, screaming, "Help! Where are the bodyguards?!"
"I sent them away," Olivia said coldly, pressing the knife to Lynn's wrist in a way that threatened to sever it completely.
Lynn was terrified. She hadn't expected Olivia to go this far. Her lips trembled as she stared at her own wrist, a mocking smile on her face. "Olivia, think carefully. The hospital is full of cameras! I'm the talk of Lymington right now. I just attempted suicide, and Jeremy is very worried about me. If you harm me, you'll pay dearly..."
The knife pierced through the bandage and into her freshly stitched skin. Lynn screamed in agony.
Olivia watched her pain with bloodshot eyes. "It hurts, doesn't it? You hurt my father, a heart patient, causing him the same pain. As for your fame and Jeremy's concern, why should I care? The cameras?" She pointed to the one at the door, her voice icy. "I'll destroy the footage. Don't worry, it won't capture how I make you truly disabled."
Her laughter grew darker.
Lynn remembered Olivia's hacking skills. She didn't want to lose her hand. She screamed, "You dare touch me? Do you know your father's situation? He's dying in custody for murder!"
"Exactly, which is why I'm here to threaten you. Release him, or I'll sever your tendons."
Olivia's knife didn't waver, her eyes a deep, terrifying abyss.
Lynn finally grasped the depth of Olivia's desperation. She tried to stay calm, laughing coldly. "The hallway is full of people. Even if you destroy the cameras, if you cut my wrist, you'll be covered in blood. Everyone will see! My parents are nearby, and let me tell you—"
"Don't think you can threaten me into sparing your father. My wedding to Jeremy is in two weeks. In that time, you must marry Sam. I want Jeremy to see you as the shameless woman who got pregnant before marriage and then married Sam for money. You won't be pure in his eyes anymore. Jeremy loves me. My suicide attempt made him feel guilty, so we'll get married. You won't seduce him again! You're the reason we haven't married yet. Look at yourself, you're nothing but a worm."
Lynn's suicide attempt was clearly staged. Jeremy felt guilty?
Olivia thought of her father, Jake, falsely accused of murder, and her heart ached. Did Jeremy know his lover was hurting her father?
Olivia glared at Lynn. "You're delusional. You're just a pathetic woman who can't win Jeremy's love. Insulting me and hurting my family won't get you what you want. You're a tragedy!"
"Shut up!" Lynn's deepest insecurities flared. Jeremy didn't love her. She had tried for three years, pretending, but he never desired her.
Her face twisted with anger as she looked at Olivia. "You think you're clever? Olivia, I haven't told you. Your father was given a drug in custody. Without the antidote in three days, he'll die of a heart attack. Is that what you want?"
She laughed coldly.
"What?" Olivia's face went blank, losing all reason. The knife cut deeper into Lynn's flesh. "What did you give him? Give me the antidote! If he doesn't survive, you won't marry Jeremy. Your wedding will be your funeral!"
"I knew you wouldn't marry Sam willingly, so I planned ahead. The Thomas family is suing your father for murder. He won't get out... and the poison will kill him in three days. So, you'd better agree to marry Sam today, making my wedding perfect! Understand your situation? You dare touch me, you're overestimating yourself."
They poisoned Jake just to force her to marry Sam. Olivia snapped, driving the knife deeper. "So I have to marry Sam? Then you'll marry Jeremy as a cripple. Enjoy your life, Lynn—"
Screams echoed through the room. Outside, someone alerted the bodyguards, causing chaos.
Outside the hospital, Jeremy sat in his car, distracted. Louis had forced him to visit Lynn. A subordinate approached, reporting, "Mr. DeRoss, there's trouble in Lynn's room. Olivia attacked Ms. Smith. Should you check it out?"
"Olivia? She's back in Lymington?" Jeremy's eyes snapped open, his handsome face peering out of the car, his expression cold, but his heart racing. "Let her fight. Just don't let her hurt her hand."
The subordinate was speechless. What kind of response was that? Lynn was supposed to be his bride-to-be.
