Chapter 792 Rock Begged for Forgiveness

The two kids were stunned.

Sidney felt guilty, as if guessing that Winnie was about to get angry.

"Mommy, what are you talking about? No, no!" Sidney immediately stammered and shook his head.

Seeing that, Winnie couldn't bear to look. He just wasn't the type to lie.

Oscar was even more speechless at Sidney. If Sidney couldn't lie, he could do it.

Now everything was exposed.

Winnie looked angry and deliberately stern, "Mommy is giving you two one more chance. Tell the truth."

Sidney looked at Oscar, completely at a loss.

Oscar's face turned dark, and he had no choice but to admit, "Mommy, I'm sorry. We didn't mean to. We just wanted to know who hurt you, and then Sidney wanted to avenge you, so he called Lawrence."

Winnie didn't know how much the two kids had overheard. Suddenly feeling a bit nervous, she asked, "What did you tell him? Besides me getting hurt, you didn't repeat everything I said last night, did you?"

"No!" Sidney immediately shook his head to assure her, "I definitely didn't tell Daddy that you don't love Rock at all, that you married him just to save Oscar or because you were grateful to him, and that you don't want to be close to him."

"Shut up." Winnie was completely embarrassed. These two kids had heard everything in detail.

If they had said those things to Lawrence, what would have happened?

Blushing, she sternly said, "You must never say those things to him."

Otherwise, Lawrence would definitely become even more relentless in pestering her.

"Got it." Sidney blinked mischievously and leaned closer to Winnie, "Mommy, you don't love Rock. Is it because you still like Daddy?"

Winnie was speechless, her cheeks turning even redder. "Don't talk nonsense. I stopped loving him a long time ago."

Sidney pouted, feeling a bit disappointed but still said, "It's okay. Anyway, Oscar and I will do our best to ruin his relationships with any women around him, so he'll stay single forever."

Oscar nodded.

Winnie was completely helpless with the two kids. "Stay out of adult matters and go to class!"

"Mommy, it's still early. I want to talk to you about Rock," Oscar suddenly said.

Winnie was stunned for a moment, seeing a hint of coldness in Oscar's big eyes. She suddenly understood, "Oscar, do you hate Rock?"

"Whether I hate him or not doesn't matter. What matters is what he has done to you. Last night, I could tell you suspect Rock is not simple, that he might be two-faced. Mommy, what are you going to do next?"

Winnie had some plans in mind. She didn't want Rock to be on guard but needed to quickly find out the connection between Rock and Olivia's disappearance. She had to investigate Rock.

She lowered her eyes and gently said, "Oscar, I will handle my own matters. Don't worry."

Oscar said worriedly, "I just think I can help you. I have computer skills. You're too close to him. If you want to investigate him, he is likely to notice it quickly, which means it could pose extra danger."

"So, I can't let you do such dangerous things." Winnie squinted, deeply troubled.

Oscar didn't persuade her further, just held her hand calmly and said, "When you need my help, we'll work together. Mommy, I won't tolerate anyone who hurts you. In this, we stand united with Lawrence."

Winnie's eyes flickered. Lawrence had been so angry last night because she had been slapped.

She smiled, "Mommy knows. But the matter between Rock and me is complicated. I'm afraid the marriage isn't something I can end just by saying so. This has to be done slowly and secretly."

"Okay! I heard Bentley is your genuine good friend. I'll contact Bentley," Oscar said sharply.

Winnie was stunned. Oscar had background-checked all her friends thoroughly.

She helplessly patted his little head, "Alright, you and Sidney go in quickly. Mommy has to go to work."

After sending the kids in, Winnie went straight to the Blanchet Group.

As soon as she stepped into the office, she found Rock had been waiting inside for a long time. Seeing her, he immediately presented a large bouquet of flowers and an expensive gift box containing a pair of limited-edition sapphire earrings.

He said painfully and lowly, "Winnie, I beg you, please don't be angry anymore, okay? I was wrong that night. I shouldn't have laid a hand on you."

"I deserve to die. I was wrong. These past few days, I've been drowning in pain and guilt. Not seeing you has made every day unbearable. I've never lost control like that before. I don't know why I acted that way."

As he spoke, his eyes turned red with regret, "I might have been provoked by Mr. Harper that day, and then knowing you with Lawrence, I was too scared of losing you."

His face was full of pain, and he clutched his heart, coughing heavily.

Winnie was very silent.

In the past, she would have felt very guilty and been moved by his pain.

But now, with the seed of doubt in her heart, she felt he was no longer genuine.

Even showing any emotion could be a disguise.

"Rock, are you okay?" But Winnie was still a bit scared by his pale appearance.

"Nothing serious. Not finding you for several days, I haven't slept day and night, and my heart got inflamed. I was in the hospital for two days."

Rock looked at her with grievance and pain, cold sweat dripping from his face.

Seeing him like this, Winnie couldn't say anything harsh.

Suddenly, he walked over, took her hand, and knelt on the ground, slapping himself, "Winnie, I really know I was wrong. I promise it won't happen again, or I'll cut off my own hand."

"Come home with me. Without you, our home doesn't feel like home. It's empty, and I can't stand it."

Winnie quietly looked at his gentle features for a long time, then said softly, "Get up. I'll go back after I'm done this afternoon."

Rock couldn't believe she forgave him so easily.

But he still looked up in surprise, "Really?"

"Yes." Winnie showed a hint of understanding, "Actually, I didn't blame you. After all, it was my fault that night."

"Don't say that! I know you weren't willing. It was that bastard Lawrence who forced you." Rock quickly interrupted her, showing a look of avoidance, and smiled bitterly, "Winnie, it's good that you're willing to come home. Do you like these sapphire earrings? Let me put them on for you, okay?"

Seeing him deliberately trying to please her, Winnie didn't say anything more.

Rock carefully put the earrings on her. Winnie was absent-minded but didn't show it.

After talking with him for a while, she used the excuse of a company meeting to make him leave first.

Watching Rock's back, Winnie dialed Bentley's number, "I want to ask your detective friend if there's a way to find hidden cameras at home without alerting anyone?"
