Chapter 286 Darcy Gets the Medicine

Under the cover of the night, Darcy arrived at the private room of the bar. Mrs. Ordelia was already there.

The reason they chose this place was because Darcy had lied to Lawrence R, saying she was going out to play with friends, in order to conceal her whereabouts.

As soon as she sat down, Mrs. Ordelia furrowed her brows, "Darcy, you're too slow. It took you three years and you still haven't slept with Lawrence R. And you even brought Winnie back. That little slut, she didn't die after all. It truly surprises me."

Thinking of Winnie's smug face these past two days, Darcy became even angrier, "How would I know? I burned my body three years ago."

"I checked, Alan used a fake body. You were careless back then, didn't test the DNA." Darcy clenched her fists at her mother's dissatisfaction.

Mrs. Ordelia handed her a small test tube containing powder and lowered her voice, "The strongest medicine, just a touch and he'll be unconscious for three days."

That night, she had to meet a woman.

"You need to get pregnant with Lawrence R's child as soon as possible, so he will marry you immediately, and those two despicable Sidney and Winnie won't be a problem anymore."

Darcy couldn't pretend to be unaware.

She tightly clenched the test tube and nodded. "You and Father can rest assured. Three years ago, I made Mr. L hate Winnie to the core by making him lose a son. And three years later, I can make Mr. L despise her just the same."

"Oh, by the way, isn't Elliott going to be executed soon? Before Winnie notices, you need to hurry and have Father take care of it. If all else fails, handle it in prison."

"I'm afraid that won't be possible." Mrs. Ordelia's face changed as she spoke.
"Recently, there has been a sudden appeal by a pro bono lawyer for Elliott, and the case has attracted some attention. It's not as easy to secretly deal with Elliott anymore."

“Your father investigated the people behind it and found out that it was a lawyer hired by Rock. But it's too coincidental that Winnie suddenly returned, and she has a good relationship with Rock."

Darcy's breath turned cold.

"Are you saying that Winnie asked Rock for help to get a lawyer for Elliott?" This despicable woman returned and silently caused so much trouble.

Thinking of her tactics against Triton, Darcy realized she couldn't underestimate this despicable woman.

"It's not a big deal. You can use Lawrence R's influence to block the prison behind the scenes, so Winnie won't be able to see Elliott. Once Elliott's silenced, she won't be able to overturn the case."

Mrs. Ordelia took a deep drag on her cigarette.

Darcy leaned back in her chair and sneered. "There's no trace left of the case that happened a month ago. I had Jeffrey take care of Jacob's family. No evidence left."

Mrs. Ordelia nodded and stood up. "Darcy, I'll leave now. You shouldn't stay here either. Go home and play the role of a good wife. That's the only way to earn his favor."

Darcy nodded, but her brows furrowed slightly.

Playing the role of a virtuous wife and mother for three years, wasn't that enough? But Mr. L's heart remained cold and indifferent, like a stone that couldn't generate warmth.

After being suppressed for so long, she was also starting to feel tired. In the past, she was a woman who enjoyed a liberated and extravagant nightlife.

Now, she revolved around that little bastard and was constantly infuriated.

With these thoughts in mind, Darcy coldly opened a bottle of liquor and poured herself a glass, which she drank down with satisfaction.

The familiar taste of alcohol made her eyes sparkle. The swirling lights in the nightclub ignited her imagination.

It was still early, and Mr. L would be sitting alone in his study, refusing to share the bedroom with her. Thinking about it made Darcy even more frustrated.

Whenever her mood soured, she would call Ray. After all, he was her lapdog. Over the years, she had kept Ray on a tight leash.

With a triumphant smile, Darcy dialed a number.

In less than half an hour, the tall Ray arrived, passing through the bar. This man stood out with his height, unlike Lawrence R's unparalleled beauty.
The mature and indifferent aura surrounded Ray's face with determination. He used to be in the armed forces and had a rough, manly taste.

Darcy had a bit too much to drink. Her tongue brushed against the edge of the wine glass as she secretly assessed the man's figure.

"Hey, Ray," she cooed sweetly.

"Why are you out drinking, Darcy? And in this state, where's L?" Ray walked over as the woman deliberately leaned against him, tilting to one side.

"Mr. L is at home, you know how busy he is with work. I'm not in a good mood, so I came out for a stroll and wanted you to accompany me," Darcy softly and achingly laughed.

"L should be more considerate to you after three years of being a housewife. You used to be so high-class, but now, you're taking care of his son and letting go of your image," Ray said, feeling a bit sorry for her.

"Ray, you understand me the best. After being a housewife for three years, I have fewer friends, and you're the only one I trust and like," Darcy's words stirred something in Ray's heart.

He looked at her and smiled, "Being a housewife doesn't change how beautiful and kind you are in my eyes. You will find happiness, Darcy."

"Really? But who knows the pain I've been through? I still haven't shared a room with Mr. L..." Suddenly, Darcy leaned closer to Ray's ear and said in a drunken and resentful voice.

Ray was taken aback, his dark eyes frozen. "How is that possible? L doesn't seem sick at all."

"He is sick, Ray. There are some pains I can't express. Although he claims to be in love with me, I can feel that his heart is still uncertain when Winnie comes back. I'm so sad. Can you comfort me?" Darcy's body leaned against his shoulder, trembling as she cried.

Ray's heart softened, and he gently patted her back. "Don't cry, Darcy. I will empathize with you."

"Do you really empathize? Then can you rub my chest? It's so painful in my heart in this quiet night."

Darcy lifted her head with a seductive gaze, her hand touching her chest, intentionally pulling down her collar to reveal a soft and tempting curve.

She had a good figure, but Mr. L never appreciated it.

If she could sleep with Ray and satisfy her desires, it would be acceptable.

First, she wouldn't mind provoking that little bitch, Laura. Second, Ray would always protect her, and if anything went wrong, he would never expose himself.

Darcy calculated in her mind, considering that everything can be justified by alcohol.

She seductively brought her red lips closer to his and said, "Ray, I feel like I'm drunk. I've never tasted the flavor of a kiss before..."

She hinted that she was pure and innocent. Which man wouldn't be attracted to a virtuous woman?
Ray's Adam's apple twitched as he watched her lips draw closer.

However, damn it, Ray quickly grabbed her hand. He forcefully closed his eyes and unexpectedly thought of Laura.

Ring, ring... The phone rang.

He was saved. Ray furrowed his brows, took out his phone, and carefully pushed Darcy away to stand up and answer the call.

"Mr. Martin, Mrs. Martin suddenly had a stomach bleed and fainted in the room."

"Is it Laura?" Ray muttered to himself.

Unaware of her nervous expression, she asked, "What happened to her, did she go to the hospital?"

As he spoke, almost ignoring Darcy, he picked up his coat and was ready to leave.

Upon hearing Laura's name and seeing his anxious movements, Darcy's eyes darkened with concern. Ray hung up the phone, and Darcy, feeling intoxicated, tried to hold him back.

Ray evaded her in embarrassment and avoidance, draping his coat over her shoulders gently, saying, "Darcy, I have something urgent to attend to. I'll have a bodyguard take you home."

After speaking, he hurriedly walked away, his steps quick as if escaping.

Darcy clenched her glass and, in the next moment, angrily smashed it to the ground. Who didn't know that it was Laura who called, that wretched woman!

One by one, they all came to ruin her good fortune, just like Winnie.

Damn it, why are they all useless men?

She even doubted if she had lost her charm in the eyes of men.

She was a noble debutante of Trento City, and before, men adored her and pursued her relentlessly.

When did she end up so frustrated? It was all to trap Lawrence R.

Darcy pressed her lips, stood up crookedly, and supported herself against the wall. Just as she was about to turn the corner, suddenly, someone approached from behind, a man who grabbed her neck and daringly caressed downward with his fingers, breathing moist air into her ear.

"Don't move, Darcy."

Darcy was startled. "Who are you?"

In the next second, she realized that this person knew her name! Shocked and suspicious, she turned her head around-
