Chapter 766 Where Are You Looking

Winnie had already given birth to two sons, yet she still looked like a young girl. Only her eyes held stories, experiences that made her like a sweet red wine, becoming more and more mellow.

"Daddy, why are you staring at Mommy? You're going to bore two holes into her."

Sidney's voice came with a tease. He couldn't understand why Lawrence found Winnie's swimsuit so attractive; he thought it was ugly.

Oscar couldn't help but smack the troublemaker Sidney.

Clearly, Lawrence wasn't staring at the swimsuit.

Sidney's casual comment made Winnie extremely embarrassed.

Lawrence also showed a hint of awkwardness. Seeing the blush on Winnie's face as she glared at him, he curved his thin lips to ease the tension and said, "You two hurry up and get into the bath; don't catch a cold. Sidney, you can't swim. Mommy will take you!"

Winnie immediately took Sidney to the bath.

Oscar followed Winnie.

Lawrence tried to please his sons, "Oscar, she can't handle both of you. Come with me to the deep end, and Daddy will teach you the butterfly stroke."

"I already know how to do the butterfly stroke," Oscar said nonchalantly. "Mommy taught me a long time ago. It's you who couldn't teach Sidney to swim in three years."

Lawrence felt a bit embarrassed.

He coughed lightly and explained, "Daddy didn't teach Sidney before because he wasn't in good health. The doctor said it wasn't suitable."

Seeing his patient explanation, Oscar felt a bit conflicted.

Lawrence was undoubtedly a jerk.

But from Sidney's repeated claims about how good Lawrence was to him, it was clear he had put a lot of effort into raising Sidney.

For some reason, seeing Lawrence's careful and patient demeanor made Oscar feel a bit uncomfortable.

To avoid making Lawrence too embarrassed, Oscar reluctantly said, "But I don't know how to do the breaststroke. Can you teach me?"

He knew the butterfly stroke but not the breaststroke?

Lawrence's deep eyes narrowed, quickly realizing that Oscar was trying to smooth things over.

He curved his thin lips and didn't expose Oscar's cuteness. These days, although Oscar still treated him indifferently, at least he wasn't always resistant and rejecting.

This was a good sign.

He gently extended his hand, "Come, Daddy will teach you."

Suddenly, there was a loud splash.

Winnie's panicked voice followed, "Sidney! If you jump on me like that, I can't keep my balance."

"Winnie!" Lawrence turned his head to see Sidney and Winnie falling into the hot spring together.

The water wasn't deep, but the bottom was natural stone, which was uneven.

He immediately swam over.

Oscar followed, "Mommy, help Sidney up first."

They swam to Winnie's side. Lawrence's strong arm quickly scooped up the fallen Winnie while also lifting Sidney from the water.

Winnie, drenched and flustered, explained, "Sidney was playing too enthusiastically and jumped on my neck. I couldn't keep my balance. Sidney, are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Sidney said, still shaken, spitting out a mouthful of water and clinging tightly to Lawrence's arm.

"Sidney!" Lawrence's face darkened slightly as he scolded him, "Your mommy is so light; you can't ride on her, understand?"

"I was just being playful. Water has buoyancy, doesn't it? Besides, I've seen you ride on Mommy. I thought my weight wouldn't be a problem," Sidney said, feeling secretly annoyed.

Sidney's words came out just like that.

Both Winnie and Lawrence were stunned. Winnie's face quickly showed disbelief, while Lawrence quickly glanced at her flushed face and coughed lightly, scolding Sidney, "Sidney, what nonsense are you talking about? When did Daddy ever ride on... ride on her?"

Winnie was immediately embarrassed.

Why ask? What was wrong with his brain?

Unexpectedly, Sidney patiently recalled, "It was when we were in Lymington. You and Mommy went on a business trip to Perugia City. I saw through the hotel door crack that you were on Mommy. Oscar and I thought you were fighting."

"Enough!" Winnie remembered that time and almost cried. Blushing, she glared at Lawrence and quickly dispersed the boys, "You almost drowned, so stop talking so much. Go play with the water guns in the children's area with Oscar."

Oscar, sensing that this might be an inappropriate topic, quickly took Sidney to the children's area.

As the boys' playful voices echoed, Winnie decided to have a serious talk with Lawrence. But when she looked down, she saw his strong arm tightly around her waist.

She was drenched from the fall, and Lawrence was helping her adjust her crooked swimsuit. Water droplets slid down her neck, glistening as they went.

Lawrence's gaze fell somewhere.

"Pervert, where are you looking?" Winnie caught his gaze, her face blushing as she glared at him, quickly trying to cover herself, only to realize her swimsuit was very conservative.

Lawrence curved his thin lips, staring at her flushed earlobe, "I'm not looking anywhere. If I wanted to look, I would have bought you a sexy swimsuit long ago."

His handsome face was also covered in water droplets, and in the dim night, his features looked even more chiseled and deep, adding a touch of mischief. "With two sons around, I don't want any man to see you looking sexy, so I made you wear something conservative."

Winnie didn't know what to say. Was he really that childish?

Seeing her speechless expression, Lawrence took a step closer, his voice low and unclear whether he was teasing or explaining, "I'm sorry about what Sidney said about riding on you. That day, Darcy drugged me. I didn't know the boys were following me and waiting outside the suite."

"Why are you bringing this up! Lawrence, you have no shame."

Winnie blushed all the way to her neck, angrily pushing him away.

"I was afraid you'd misunderstand. I didn't educate Sidney well," he said softly, his eyes innocent and serious.

Winnie didn't know what to say.

In this situation, with the hot spring making people feel warm, she quickly turned to get out, remembering how he had pinned her down in the study at the party a few days ago, making her scared.

"Don't go." Lawrence gently held her small hand.

With the two kids not causing trouble, how could he miss this opportunity?

He had something to say.

Lawrence's gaze was sharp as he asked in a low voice, "That day, when Sierra suddenly died, it seemed to affect you a lot. You were very distracted. Did you sense something?"

Winnie stiffened, pursing her lips, "What are you trying to say?"
