Chapter 862 A Visit
She called him "Mr. Rodriguez" many times, timidly, with a hint of affection.
In fact, when he was in a coma, he wasn't unaware of these things.
Later, Melissa, with some unknown courage, used all her funds to buy the Rodriguez Villa that was about to be auctioned, preserving his last bit of dignity.
Melissa had never stayed by his side for a single day; their relationship was very awkward.
But Bob could feel Melissa's intentions.
In contrast, Hellen was the stain of his life.
"What's wrong? Did I say something too harsh and scare you?" Bob's heart warmed, and his deep voice carried a touch of warmth as he softly asked Melissa.
She had a timid personality.
Melissa shook her head blankly, looking at the stunned and embarrassed Hellen on the ground. She rarely showed a hint of a smile, "I even think you are quite right. I don't want you to forgive someone who has hurt you; she might hurt you again."
Hellen shouted, "Melissa, you bitch, are you trying to drive a wedge between Bob and me? Are you feeling proud now? Look at your haggard face; do you think Bob would ever fancy you? You're a bitch. You secretly seduced Bob back then and had an illegitimate child. You're just a bitch!"
"Shut up!" Bob was furious, turning to glare coldly at Hellen. But before he could speak, Melissa stood up, despite her pale face, and said to Hellen, "Mrs. Peterson, I hope you watch your mouth. I have no improper thoughts about Mr. Rodriguez; otherwise, I would have come to Trento City with the child for help back then."
She added, "And you wouldn't have been Mrs. Rodriguez so peacefully for the past thirty years, scheming against the Rodriguez Group, only to realize now that you divorced the wrong person."
"I know you're hoping Mr. Rodriguez will change his mind, thinking he can't forget you. One should have self-awareness. Even as an outsider, I can tell he's been extremely impatient with you now. You don't need to be so confident."
"You! You..." Hellen was trembling with anger at her veiled sarcasm.
She pointed at Melissa, a woman who was nothing, yet she couldn't refute her.
"Don't mind her, let's go." Bob didn't even bother to look at her again, indifferently pulling Melissa away.
Touching her sleeve, he realized she was trembling violently, her pale cheeks showing immense courage.
Bob's heart softened instantly; she was really afraid of causing trouble.
She was standing up for him, indignantly fighting back against Hellen.
For some reason, he wasn't angry about Hellen's appearance; instead, his thin lips curved into a relieved smile. He glanced deeply at Melissa, lowering his voice even more, "Don't stoop to her level!"
Melissa sighed, "I'm just angry that she still thinks she can use you."
"Let her dream on."
Bob was disdainful; he had never loved Hellen, not for a moment in his life.
His utmost patience with Hellen was for the sake of family and business.
Since Hellen was ungrateful, everything she faced today was her own doing.
"Bob... Bob! Can't you, for the sake of our past, sell me some of the Rodriguez Group's new products? I'm talking about buying them, Bob, please help me this once, help Mars and me through this crisis." Behind them, Hellen was unwilling to give up and tried to catch up.
Melissa moved her lips.
Hellen was indeed here for the Rodriguez Group's new products.
She looked at Bob.
Bob's stern brows showed no emotion, not even anger.
Bob sneered, closed the car door, and drove off with Melissa.
Hellen pounded on the car window, soon left behind in the tailpipe fumes!
Her face was dark and stormy as she took off her high heels and smashed them against the car, "Bob, you're so heartless! We were married for thirty years, and you won't help me!"
Crying and shouting, her face turned pale.
Thinking of Melissa's sarcasm, she felt even more humiliated, wanting to crawl into a hole.
She had been confident that Bob might soften towards her, planning to use the opportunity to get back together with him!
But it was clear that Hellen was overthinking it.
Bob was heartless and never loved her.
Coming to him today was undoubtedly self-humiliation. Melissa, on the other hand, seemed like a long-suffering victor.
Would Bob choose Melissa as his companion in his old age?
Hellen realized her heart was filled with jealousy.
Why, after enjoying the position of Mrs. Rodriguez for thirty years, should she give it up to Melissa?
She really regretted it!
Not long after Bob invited Melissa to the Rodriguez Family's small house, Winnie also arrived.
It was her first visit since the Rodriguez Family's downfall.
Although the small house was far less luxurious than the Rodriguez Villa on Camellia Mount, it exuded a clear sense of life. The courtyard was filled with flowers and plants probably planted by Leah, neatly arranged, with a servant tending to them.
As she walked deeper into the courtyard, it was filled with children's laughter.
As soon as Winnie stepped through the door, she felt a warm atmosphere.
As soon as she appeared, Sidney, who was chatting and laughing with Melissa, saw Winnie and, surprised, immediately ran over, "Mommy! You're here, did Daddy bring you? I'm so happy!"
"Mommy, I missed you too." Behind Sidney, Oscar walked over slowly.
Winnie's eyes instantly softened. Seeing the two children, her tense nerves finally relaxed, and her face lit up with a sweet smile. She opened her arms and laughed, "I missed you too, I'm here to take you both home today."
"This is their home." Behind her, Lawrence appeared immediately.
Seeing the children hugging Winnie's legs on either side, Lawrence squinted his eyes, stretched out his strong arm, and hugged her and the two children together.
"What are you doing?" Winnie felt his firm jaw against her hair. She glanced at Melissa at the entrance of the hall, feeling very nervous.
"Let go, Lawrence, don't do this, the Rodriguez Family is inside."
Lawrence smirked mischievously, looking very innocent, "Can't I hug the kids too?"
"Why are you joining in when I'm hugging them?" Winnie wished she could secretly step on his foot.
"Because I miss my sons too, and besides, all three of you are my treasures. I don't want to favor one over the other; you're my treasure too, Winnie." Lawrence explained matter-of-factly.
His warm breath seeped into Winnie's hair.
Her head felt hot, Lawrence's presence was too strong, too mature.
Under the watchful eyes of Melissa and Olivia, her face turned red.
Just as Winnie was feeling embarrassed, Oscar couldn't help but rescue her, "Lawrence, you're shameless. You're holding Mommy's waist, trying to get close to her secretly, aren't you?"
Lawrence's face darkened at Oscar's accusation.
Looking at the unyielding Oscar, Lawrence reluctantly let go, "I absolutely wasn't. I always get close to your mommy openly."
Winnie's face turned red, and she stomped on his foot!
