Chapter 661 Sam Causes Trouble for Olivia

The southern intersection marks the shift from the commercial to the residential area. It's afternoon, the sun's blazing, so the streets are pretty empty.

Winnie darted into the alley, sharing her location with Olivia over the phone.

She quickly spotted Olivia hiding in the corner of a flower shop.

Olivia looked exhausted, her eyes bloodshot, clearly having not slept for days while searching for Jeremy.

"Olivia, over here," Winnie whispered.

Olivia jumped down from a stack of flower pots, grabbed Winnie's hand, and peeked out. "Sam's men just ran past this street."

"Then let's go the other way."

"Okay."

But as soon as they turned the corner, a tall man blocked their path.

Winnie looked up, seeing Sam's face for the first time. His features were fierce, and his eyes roved over her face with a lecherous glint, followed by a cold laugh. "Olivia, your friend is quite pretty. Beauty, are you here to help Olivia? Even with three of you, you wouldn't stand a chance against me!"

Olivia, disgusted and scared, said, "Sam, I won't go with you. I told you I haven't found Jeremy. I already gave you the last address where he disappeared!"

"Lynn said you never tell the truth! Whether the info you gave me is real or not, Olivia, let's talk about our personal matters. I know you slept with me three years ago at the club, and I heard you even had my daughter. Lynn showed me the photos. You were hiding from me in Lymington, and now I've caught you in Trento City. You can't escape! You have to let me see my daughter! You took my daughter and hung out with my brother. Do you think I have no self-respect?"

Sam spat on the ground viciously.

Winnie looked at Sam coldly. 'Some people, even if they are brothers, are worlds apart. Jeremy's wickedness was built on righteousness; he wore glasses, appearing gentle at first glance, but fierce upon closer inspection. But this Sam, he must be the bad descendant of the DeRoss family, not only full of malice but also with fetid breath.'

Feeling Olivia trembling beside her, Winnie knew she had already suffered from Sam's harassment in Lymington.

Winnie spoke coldly, "Mr. DeRoss, right? Olivia's daughter has nothing to do with you. You've never supported her, so what right do you have to demand to see her? We've already told you Jeremy's whereabouts. Go find him yourself. Let Olivia go!"

"Oh, you really talk big. Who are you? Let me tell you, today I won't let Olivia go. She and her child are my property! It's none of your business and I can do whatever I want with her."

Winnie took out her phone, glancing at Lysander's message calmly, and pulling Olivia back. "Of course, it's my business. Sam, you should find out who Olivia's good friend is, Ms. Blanchet from the Blanchet family in Trento City."

"You can't be claiming to be the eldest daughter of the Blanchet family, can you?" Sam sneered as he approached. "I don't believe it."

"Ms. Blanchet!" A group of bodyguards rushed over from the intersection to stand in front of Winnie.

Winnie lifted her chin. "Sam, take a good look. I am indeed Ms. Blanchet from the Blanchet family. Olivia is my most cherished friend. If you want to mess with her, you have to get through me first. Are you sure the DeRoss family wants to offend the Blanchet family?"

Sam's expression changed slightly.

"Bodyguards, keep him away!" Winnie pulled Olivia back.

Of course, Sam wouldn't give up. He rushed forward, trying to grab Olivia's hair. Seeing this, Winnie slapped him.

"You hit me?" Sam snarled, his eyes blazing. "You're Winnie, right? I remember now. You're the illegitimate daughter the Blanchet family acknowledged. My business with Olivia is none of your concern. Tell your people to back off, or I'll beat you too."

Winnie lowered her eyes. "Bodyguards, take action."

Three of Sam's thugs rushed forward, but Winnie had more people on her side. Soon, Winnie even called the local police.

"What are you doing? Stop it!" The police intervened.

Sam immediately deflated like a balloon, having to restrain himself. After all, this was Trento City, not Lymington, and he couldn't afford to cause too much trouble here.

Sam glared at Winnie and Olivia as they walked away, sneering. "Olivia, if you don't tell me where Jeremy is, I won't let you go. You probably don't know how powerful Jeremy's mom is. Do you think the Blanchet family alone can scare me? Believe it or not, I can go to the President's people and take down the Blanchet family."

Olivia got into the car, finally less scared, looking at Sam with disdain. "He thinks he can go to the President's people? He's delusional. Winnie, how could I ever let Mia recognize him as her father?"

Winnie listened, but Lynn's meaningful words flashed through her mind: "You probably don't know how deep the DeRoss family's power runs. Do you believe that if Mr. Rodriguez dared to lose Jeremy, even he wouldn't escape?"

'Sam dared to speak so boldly; could it be that the DeRoss family had some strong connections?'

She stopped her thoughts, quickly drove away, glancing at the still-frightened Olivia. "He didn't hurt you, did he?"

Olivia shook her head, feeling unlucky. "I originally wanted to buy a bouquet before going home to cheer up Mia. Who knew Sam would follow me? When he caught me earlier, he pulled out a chunk of my hair. Luckily, I ran fast. It doesn't hurt now."

"Why didn't you contact me immediately after leaving Lawrence?" Winnie glanced at her helplessly. "I'll call a doctor when we get home."

"Okay," Olivia looked tiredly out the window, suddenly saying. "Winnie, I have a feeling that we might not find Jeremy."

"Why do you say that?" Winnie gripped the steering wheel tightly.

"Lawrence and I searched the place where he disappeared for a whole day and night, targeting an area of several hundred kilometers, but we found no trace. And the factory where he disappeared is on a cliff. Inside the factory, all of Jeremy's men were dead. We didn't see the bodies, but there was a lot of blood. There must be Jeremy's blood in there. I heard he was shot." Olivia's eyes reddened.

Winnie took a deep breath, trying not to think about the cliff and the sea. 'Jeremy was a very skilled person. Even when I jumped into the sea back then, I survived by Alan. With Jeremy's willpower, he could definitely make it.'

"We'll keep looking for him."

Olivia shed tears, a hint of emotion flashing in her eyes, hidden quietly. "Lawrence is more upset than I am, more unwilling to believe it. He will definitely keep looking for Jeremy. Whether he's alive or dead, we need to see him."

Winnie thought of the deadline she gave Lawrence and fell silent.

Meanwhile, a flashy Rolls-Royce stopped at the entrance of the alley, causing the police who were about to take Sam away to pause.

An officer immediately bent over and said, "Mr. Martin, what brings you here?"

Mars got out of the car. He had actually been observing Sam for a while. Mars lazily put his hands in his pockets, walking up to Sam, and smiling slightly. "You're Mr. DeRoss from the DeRoss family, right?"

"Who are you?"
