Chapter 608 Leave with Me (Part 2)
'So, was his reluctant fake relationship and engagement with Ishara the underlying cause that inadvertently pushed her towards Rock?
'He never explained, but he thought she understood his helplessness. It was all for his mother and Oscar. Yet it turned out she didn't understand, and she didn't accept.
'But as it turned out, she didn't understand, nor did she accept.
'In her eyes, harm was harm, and she refused to forgive him. So she turned to Rock, thinking he was better.
'How ironic.'Lawrence thought, and everyone at the wedding feast saw Lawrence in a state of panic and despair.
Would the most esteemed Lawrence in the country also experience such a desolate moment? His eyes reflected regret and an overwhelming darkness.
"Winnie, if I say sorry, will you forgive me?" Lawrence asked, his crimson eyes flashing with tears.
Winnie's heart skipped a beat, and then her face remained as cold as ever. She said, "Impossible. Please don't disturb my wedding."
"What if I must disturb you? What if I must take you away?" He strode towards her aggressively.
Winnie closed her eyes. She knew him too well. Waiting and waiting, she still heard these threatening words.
She felt disgust and hatred from the deep of her heart. "Lawrence, don't think you can do whatever you want."
"Of course, I can." The man chuckled, his deep voice rising like a chilling sound from the abyss, sending shivers down her spine.
His dark eyes were sharp, and then he looked at Rock again. "Don't you know who I am? I am Lawrence, I can always get what I want. Winnie, you are my woman even if you become a ghost. A marriage certificate means nothing. Come with me!"
Rock and Winnie were both taken aback, observing his increasingly chiseled appearance and underestimating his shamelessness and arrogance.
"I don't love you anymore. Do you understand? I love Rock. Otherwise, why would I marry him!" Winnie growled.
Winnie couldn't bear it any longer, her crimson eyes filled with tears. 'What would it take for him to let go? Is this enough?' Winnie thought.
But she underestimated Lawrence. The man grabbed her delicate wrist, smiling cruelly.
"It's fine if you love Rock, but I still love you. I will make you love him in my arms!" Lawrence said.
"You... you're not human!" Winnie blushed with anger and madness at his shamelessness.
"Lawrence, if you dare touch her, you will lose your hand!" Rock picked up a gun, menacingly approaching.
Lawrence lost his patience completely. His cold eyes narrowed, he leaned down to Winnie's snowy earlobe, and slowly uttered, "Don't you want Oscar anymore? Do you want to see him? Now, come with me!"
Winnie was suddenly immobilized.
She was anxious about his intrusion, fearing it would endanger Oscar's life, as Oscar was still under Ishara's control.
But what did Lawrence mean?
She was incredulous.
With widened eyes, her face turned pale, "Is Oscar with you? That's impossible!"
Lawrence's gaze grew colder. He said, "Do you want to see the video of where I placed him?"
Winnie's breath felt choked by him.
'Had Lawrence rescued Oscar?' Winnie thought.
"Where is he?" She asked.
"Drop Rock, come with me," Lawrence said.
His ruthless threat trapped her in place.
Her eyes were red, tears streaming down, staring at him with hatred.
And Rock, stirred up by Lawrence's words and Winnie's hesitant expression, was causing a commotion.
'When did Lawrence rescue Oscar? Ishara never mentioned this to him! Damn it. With evidence of Oscar in his hands, would Winnie follow him?' Rock thought to himself.
With no time to think, Rock took the opportunity to pull the trigger, swiftly lunging towards Lawrence.
Lawrence swiftly pushed Winnie aside, evading Rock's fist. Following a gunshot from Rock's hand, Lawrence promptly kicked the gun away, leading to a physical altercation between the two men at the wedding venue.
The guests were shocked, scrambling to hide, holding their heads.
After just a dozen moves, Rock was at a disadvantage.
"Rock!" Mrs. Rodriguez's heart ached for her son. Glaring fiercely at Lawrence, she shouted loudly, "Glimmeron, call the bodyguards!"
Dozens of bodyguards rushed out into the wedding venue.
But despite their numbers, Lawrence remained calm and composed. His face resembled that of a demon; the more blood he saw, the more excited he became.
Winnie looked at his bloodshot eyes, wondering if he was having a psychotic episode.
She wanted to help Rock up, but Olivia quickly came over and held her back and said, "Don't get involved in men's fights, or you might get seriously injured! Lawrence is clearly out of control; what should we do?"
"Help, help!" Rock, struggling to get up after a long time, his eyes flashing with cold light, shouted angrily. "Guys, come in and take him down!"
But after shouting for a while, a group of strangers, led by Ray, came in.
"Daddy!" Sidney, who was brought back by Laura, shouted.
Laura comforted the little one, her gaze also fixed on Ray, looking stunned.
Ray had ultimately helped Lawrence.
Approaching, Ray knocked down a bodyguard entangled with Lawrence with a kick, sneering, "Lawrence, I've handled all the bodyguards outside!"
"Very good." The man's bloodied lips let out a devilish smirk, leaving the remaining bodyguards to Ray.
Lawrence, clutching his worsening injuries in his waist and abdomen, staggered forward, picked up the gun, and aimed it down at Rock from a higher vantage point.
But Lawrence's gaze slowly turned to Winnie, the gun slightly moving, pressuring her, "Will you come with me or not?"
"Rock!" Glimmeron shouted, "Lawrence, don't kill my son!"
Everyone in the room watched this terrifying man.
Winnie also stared blankly at him and Rock, realizing once again that Lawrence was a devil.
She stood motionless, unable to budge, her heart heavy with resignation. Not even the knowledge of Oscar's whereabouts could compel her to comply.
Winnie had a rebellious thought. She couldn't betray Rock, and she couldn't leave the wedding scene today.
"Lawrence, you don't have to force me. Every time you act ruthlessly, you get my compliance.
But it's different this time."
Winnie clenched her teeth so tightly that she nearly bit through them, her expression firm. Walking over to a nearby table, she grabbed a fruit knife and, when no one was looking, pointed it at her own neck, declaring, "If you try anything with Rock, I will die right in front of you.
Lawrence chuckled slowly.
'Such determination! Even the thought of Oscar couldn't make her hesitate.'
'Good, very good,' Lawrence thought.
"Winnie!"
"Mommy!"
Olivia and Sidney both shouted.
Just as Winnie drew the knife towards herself, Lawrence accurately shot the knife out of her hand with a single bullet.
His face was ruthless, as he seized her hand. Upon seeing this, Winnie spun around and bolted for the exit!
