Chapter 718 Fishy

Alvin's eyes were cold as ice, totally checked out. He didn't know her, didn't trust her, and pity? Forget about it. "Olivia, you're just making excuses to dump this on me, aren't you? I remember flipping out last night and telling you to back off. But you ignored me and kept trying to drag me away. Later, I..."

Alvin stopped for a moment and continued, "Anyway, if you really didn't want it, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere."

"Jeremy, you really don't get it, do you?" Olivia's heart turned to stone; she never thought he'd be this heartless.

He'd lost his memory and was nothing like the passionate, charming Jeremy she once knew.

Now, he was cold, distant, and full of himself.

"Everyone chill," Loren couldn't stand Alvin's attitude anymore.

Loren thought he was harsh enough towards the girl. Alvin had a bad boy streak, sleeping with her and then acting all superior.

He quietly talked to Alvin, "Alvin, no matter what, something did happen with her. Whether it's your illness or her making the first move, I can't say."

"But since the doc said her constitution can help with your fever, you might need her next time you have an episode. So, you gonna take some responsibility for her?" Loren whispered.

"Next time?" Alvin sneered, "There won't be a next time. I don't like this kind of woman. It was just to detox; I won't sleep with her again and hear her insult."

Olivia's heart froze at his arrogant tone.

I mean. I don't like this kind of woman," Alvin said.

Alvin didn't like her; she had overthought it.

If he didn't like her, why did he sleep with her? Why did he seem so passionate last night?

She bit her lip hard and saw Alvin casually lift the blanket with his finger. "She probably isn't a virgin, either. If you want me to take responsibility, let's solve it with money."

Olivia's mind was a mess, and she started shaking uncontrollably.

He actually despised her for not being a virgin.

She darted over and slapped Alvin across the face, "You jerk! Jeremy, I really hate you!"

In front of everyone, Olivia, exhausted and humiliated, didn't want to stay there any longer.

She grabbed her coat and bolted out of the crowd.

Behind her, Alvin's glasses fell to the ground, but his charming face showed no emotion. He just touched the small yet searing handprint on his face and frowned as he watched her storm off.

Was she really that wronged?

Alvin was just stating the facts. He remembered her eyes last night, nestled in his arms, cautious yet seemingly really into him, her face blushing and adorable. She was being tormented by him but still holding onto him tightly.

Actually, in Alvin's view, she was the one who came onto him.

Alvin didn't know why she liked him, though.

Did he go too far with his words just now?

Alvin furrowed his brows, confused.

"Alvin, that was a bit too much," Loren said, patting his shoulder. "No matter how flawed a guy may be, he shouldn't diss a woman for not being a virgin. Your callousness is intolerable to me. You better hope you don't have another episode. If you really need her, let's see if you can find her." Loren said.

"Uncle, I've dealt with so many episodes before." Alvin responded.

"But they're getting worse each time. Get it straight!" Loren shouted, hitting his shoulder.

Alvin strolled out of the bedroom, squinting. "Find her and make sure she doesn't do something crazy like jump into the sea out of anger."

'Isn't it you who drove her away?' Loren was already fuming. Now, dealing with Alvin's illness, he couldn't afford to have an episode himself. He ordered to one of his men irritably, "Spread the word. Go find out where that girl ran off to! She can't leave this estate; we haven't cleared her of suspicion yet! Besides, she's hurt. Bring her back and take care of her."

The next morning.

Winnie got back to Dazzling Estate, and Lena rushed up to her. "Winnie, I still can't get in touch with Olivia!"

"Mia is losing it." Lena added.

Winnie had been swamped all night and had put this off.

She nodded and immediately pulled out her phone to call Olivia.

This time, the response was that the phone was turned off.

That was impossible!

If Olivia had gone out for business, she'd need her phone; it couldn't be off.

This was already the third morning since she left. Why hadn't she called home?

Winnie realized something was seriously wrong, saying "You comfort Mia first. Let me think about this."

"Winnie, could Olivia have met with an accident?" Lena asked, a bit alarmed.

"Don't say that in front of Mia. Maybe she just forgot to charge her phone." Winnie said.

Winnie tried to calm Lena, but inside, she was freaking out as well.

She took out the text message Olivia had sent her and looked at it carefully.

Olivia: [Winnie! I found some clues about Jeremy's disappearance. I need to go to a factory for now. It's far from home and might take a few days. Don't worry about me, and don't try to contact me. The signal is bad near the sea. Please take care of Mia for me!]

This time, she noticed something off.

Olivia told her not to contact her? It seemed like she was preventing her from calling.

And she specifically mentioned the bad signal near the sea?

Olivia's careless nature wouldn't usually say something so detailed.

There was something fishy about this.

Winnie's heart skipped a beat. The urgent thing now was to confirm whether she had gone to that factory.

She immediately called Rock.

"Winnie, what's up?" Rock said.

"Rock, are you at work? Did you find the approximate address of that factory I asked you to look for the day before yesterday?" Winnie asked.

Rock's hand paused on Sierra. He gave her a sharp look.

Sierra reluctantly left the office.

Rock's expression turned cautious. "Are you still looking for the factory?"

"Yes, I find Olivia's departure very strange, and the text she sent me is fishy." Winnie responded.

Rock paused, "You're overthinking it. What's strange about it?"

"My gut tells me she might be in trouble. Can you help me find the address? I want to look for her." Winnie said.

"Okay." Rock gripped his phone tightly.

After she hung up, his expression turned grim. Winnie wanted to go to the seaside factory.

She would definitely find something. He leaned back in his chair, squinting. Fortunately, those people had already dealt with Olivia.

He definitely wouldn't give Winnie the factory address.

While waiting for Rock's response, in the morning, Winnie went to Triton Company and found Nelson. "Nelson, did Olivia come to work at Triton Company on time in the days before she disappeared three days ago? Do you know what she's been busy with recently?"
