Chapter 321 Kidnapping

Darcy happily threw herself into his arms and softly said, "My family won't help me. They can't dirty their hands, and neither can I. Right now, there's no one else by my side except for you, Mars."

"Of course, you're my woman. It's because your heart is still on Lawrence that I'm unable to be with you. Don't worry, I'll help you, even though it hurts me," Mars said helplessly.

Seeing his infatuated look, Darcy felt a hint of satisfaction and leaned in close to Mars's ear. "Do you understand what you need to do?" She then proceeded to explain to him her plan.

After listening, the man looked at her meaningfully. "You're ruthless, and smart too. Fine, I'll make sure your hands stay clean in this matter. Lawrence's demise is something that I'd love to see!" He laughed a twisted and sinister laugh.

Darcy felt a chill in her heart, but she needed Mars to kill the two children.

Before dawn, Darcy returned to Jasmine Manor. Lawrence had been busy with work, waking up at five to exercise and then heading to the company early. Darcy didn't see him around that morning and let out a sigh of relief. She quickly went upstairs to freshen up and then had Barbara keep an eye on Sidney's room.

During the morning, Sidney and Darcy got along peacefully. The little one went to a separate building as instructed by Oscar to observe Madam Rodriguez's condition. After having a conversation with Taylor, he returned to the main building. When he entered the villa, Darcy was already seated at the dining table and warmly called him to have his meal. Sidney, feeling hungry, climbed onto his chair with his short legs, ignoring Darcy.

Unexpectedly, Darcy's soup spilled onto Sidney's hand. "Ah, I'm sorry, Sidney. You didn't get burned, did you?" Darcy quickly ran over and wiped his hand with a napkin, pretending to care.

Sidney who had even more of a cleanliness obsession than his father, despised this woman's acting. "Don't touch me, you're filthy!"

Darcy's face twisted with anger, but she remained calm, fixating on the smartwatch on the child's wrist. Sidney angrily pushed her away and ran to the bathroom, unable to tolerate it any longer.
Darcy didn't chase after him. She looked at the smartwatch that fell on the ground during the struggle and gave a signal to Barbara. Barbara immediately went to block Sidney in the bathroom.

Darcy picked up the smartwatch and examined it. Noticing its sophisticated features, she realized it seemed to have artificial intelligence. Taking a moment to decipher its functions, it took her a while to figure out how to access the smartwatch, finding only one stored number. Without a doubt, those two little troublemakers were using the smartwatch to secretly communicate with each other. As the realization sank in, she cursed herself, wondering how she had never noticed before.

A cold smile flashed across her lips. She quickly sent a message to that number, typed a few lines, and then put the smartwatch back in its place before going upstairs.

After Sidney finished washing his hands, he realized that the smartwatch was missing. His face stiffened, and he quickly ran out to look for it. "Phew, there you are!" The little one immediately picked up the smartwatch from under the table, inspected it, and found nothing strange before putting it back on. He then resumed to finish his meal.

At this moment, Darcy changed into a new outfit and stood elegantly on the stairs. "Sidney, your father and I will be getting married next month. Shortly after this, I will be going out to look at wedding dresses, and your father wants you to come along to get a new custom-made suit."

"I'm not interested. I don't care about your wedding," Sidney replied, rolling his eyes.

Darcy secretly became enraged, suspecting that Winnie, that wretched woman, had instigated his reaction. Those two brats probably wanted to disrupt her wedding plans. Darcy concealed the anger in her eyes and walked down with a pleasant expression. "I know you don't like shopping with Mommy. When we get there, you are free to do whatever you want. Just make sure to explain it to Daddy for me."

'Free to do whatever I want?' Sidney pondered on Darcy's words. That meant he could find a place to talk to Oscar for a while. After all, he was afraid of being discovered at home. After pondering for a few moments, he then coldly got into the car.

The vehicle stopped in front of a large wedding dress customization center, but it was in an out-of-the-way location. Sidney found it strange, wondering why didn't they go to a store in the city center.

"Sidney, I have a bodyguard following you. Just wander around here for a bit, but don't go too far. Mommy needs to communicate with the designer for a while," Darcy said, with a deep look in her eyes before leaving a bodyguard and entering the building.

Outside the wedding center was a circular plaza with complex glass structures, offering a convenient hiding place. Sidney easily shook off the bodyguard and sat gracefully in a corner. Raising his wrist, he smirked as he instructed the smartwatch, "Call Oscar." Sidney smiled, about to ask if their mother was home when suddenly, someone patted him on the back.

Sidney turned his head and was shocked to find Oscar standing right next to him. His face froze momentarily, then he quickly stood up. "What are you doing here, Oscar? Where's Mommy?"

"Weren't you the one who invited me here? You said you had something important to tell me. Mommy is busy today, so I slipped out to see you," Oscar replied.

Sidney was confused. Furrowing his brow, he immediately denied, saying, "I didn't invite you!"

"You texted me with your smartwatch. Isn't it our secret?" Oscar furrowed his brow as well. The two little brothers confronted each other and suddenly realized that something was seriously amiss.

The quick-witted Oscar immediately showed the text message he had received earlier from Sidney, and as Sidney read it, a thought dawned on him. "I accidentally dropped my bracelet this morning... Something's not right, Oscar."

They held each other's hands in fear, growing increasingly anxious as their expressions shifted and their heartbeats raced. "Who did you come here with?" Oscar asked.

"Darcy," Sidney replied, pursing his lips slightly. "Do you think it was her who sent the message?"

Oscar's eyes flickered with a sense of unease as he quickly pulled Sidney in tow, scanning their surroundings. With a cautionary tone, he urged, "We should leave this place immediately."

Without any hesitation, the two little ones ran toward the exit. Suddenly, a group of thugs emerged from behind, causing both of them to freeze. Oscar instinctively positioned himself in front of Sidney, swiftly retrieving a handful of firecrackers from his pocket. He hurled them at the thug, popping loudly onto the ground. Unfortunately, those proved ineffective against the thugs.

They were on the second-floor glass bridge, shrouded in darkness. One couldn't see anything that was happening inside from outside.

"Help! Help!" The children cried for help. However, their mouths were quickly covered by the thugs and they soon disappeared into the black van.

Two minutes later, Darcy ran out in a panic, chasing after the black van that sped out of the underground garage, pounding and shouting. The van stopped for a moment, and then the masked kidnapper ran down and dragged Darcy inside.

After being tied up in a meeting until evening, Lawrence finally had a chance to check his phone. As he intended to review a document, a Facebook message unexpectedly grabbed his attention. Absentmindedly, he tapped it with his slender fingers, only to find a voice message from Darcy. "Mr. L, save me and Sidney... Ah!" Her scream and the clatter of the phone hitting the ground reverberated briefly before fading away.

Lawrence froze at the sound of her scream. He swiftly swiped his finger upwards and saw that the previous message from Darcy about wanting to go see wedding dresses and measure Sidney for a little suit was still there. He had been in an early morning meeting at the time and replied with just an "Mm."

"Oh no, Sidney..." The man furrowed his brow, his sturdy arm propping up the desk. He quickly called the villa and received the reply that Darcy and Sidney hadn't returned. He dialed Darcy's phone, but no one answered.

"Luke!" Lawrence's voice turned cold. Luke rushed in, and the man took off his suit jacket, striding briskly outside. "Quickly find out the address of the bridal shop Darcy went to. They might be in danger."

Winnie was having a meeting with the department manager when Rock called and said, "Winnie, I have some bad news."

Winnie was stupefied and asked, "What's the bad news?"
