Chapter 651 Catching Patrick
"She bought a ticket to leave Trento City today. Probably it's Patrick's idea. He stole the seal and shares, but he don't want his daughter involved in it."
"She on the plane yet?"
"In an hour."
"Get someone to bring her back!" Winnie squinted. "Today's big show won't be exciting without her."
"Yes, Ms. Anderson!"
Winnie then called Melanie.
After hearing Winnie's instructions, Melanie was stunned. "Winnie, today isn't the Blanchet family's shareholders' meeting. Why do you want me to bring Mr. and Mrs. Blanchet to the company?"
"There's something they need to hear. Just do it."
"Oh, okay, I'll get them right away." Melanie agreed.
Winnie held her phone, her grip tightening. She tapped her fingers on the windowsill twice, then grabbed her bag and left.
Sidney noticed Winnie's urgency. 'Mom's face was calm, like everything was under control.'
He wasn't worried but glad to have covered up Oscar's whereabouts. "Mom, I'll take good care of Mia, that little troublemaker! You go handle your business. Uncle Elliott and Aunt are here too."
"Who's the troublemaker, Aunt Winnie? I want Oscar to stay with me. I don't want Sidney anymore!" Mia pouted, ready to cry.
Winnie touched both of their cheeks. "Stay home and behave. Olivia will be back tonight."
She left the Dazzling Estate villa and headed straight to a legal paternity testing agency. After retrieving the paternity test certificate, Winnie's heart calmed, a cold smile slowly forming.
She put the certificate in her bag and drove to the Blanchet family group's building. A kilometer from the back door was a warehouse.
Winnie met up with the head of the bodyguards and stormed the warehouse with a group of police officers.
In the dark warehouse, Patrick sat in a wheelchair, clutching the company seal, anxiously ordering someone to interrogate Lysander. "Speak! Where did you hide Carlos's shares? If you don't hand them over, Mr. Anderson will have you killed here!"
"Stop! What are you doing? Who are you planning to kill here?" The sudden stern shout from the police stunned everyone.
Patrick was shocked, turning around to see Winnie. He couldn't believe it, a sinister look flashing in his eyes. "How did you..."
Winnie crossed her arms and walked over, chuckling. "How did I know Uncle Patrick brought Lysander here? Not only do I know this, but I also know you were desperate enough to steal Mr. Blanchet's company seal and force Lysander to hand over the shares! Is that right?"
"You're talking nonsense!"
"Am I? The police have recorded everything. No matter what happened, the fact that you kidnapped Lysander is undeniable. Officers, thank you for your hard work."
Patrick's face turned ashen, his eyes filled with anxiety. He glared at Lysander, who was quickly released and walked over to Winnie, smiling. "Ms. Anderson, did I act well?"
Winnie smirked. "Sure, you fooled Uncle Patrick."
"You..." Patrick was completely panicked. He pointed angrily at Winnie. "Winnie, you set me up?"
"If you hadn't repeatedly tried to harm Mr. Blanchet, I wouldn't have acted so quickly against you. Yes, I had Lysander reveal the seal on purpose. As for Mr. Blanchet's shares, I had Lysander transfer them to my safe three days ago. You won't get them today, or ever."
Patrick's veins bulged as he slammed his hand on the wheelchair armrest. "Winnie, you dare to play me? Two-thirds of the Blanchet family's power is in my hands. I can kill you like crush an ant. Mr. Blanchet is already a living dead. If you know what's good for you, stay out of the Blanchet family's affairs. Ishara is the rightful heir, so don't have any delusions!"
Winnie curled her lips coldly. "I wouldn't dare to covet Ishara's company. But right now, Ishara is in the company, and so is Aunt Eleanor."
"Ishara is in the company?" Patrick's face changed slightly. 'How could that be? I had sent Ishara to the airport early in the morning.' His gaze fixed on Winnie, for the first time feeling that her eyes were as sharp as knives, filled with a terrifying edge. "What did you do to Ishara?"
"I didn't do anything. I just invited Ishara and Aunt Eleanor to the company for a gathering. I'm planning to call a meeting to announce my official withdrawal from the competition for the Blanchet family heir. You are the company's decision-maker. You'll attend, right?"
Patrick didn't believe it. He sensed something was very wrong. He took out his phone to call the company secretary to ask about the current situation.
Paul's call came through.
Patrick was startled and glared even more fiercely at Winnie. He answered the call. "Father."
"Patrick, where are you? Didn't you say you were going to hold a company shareholders' meeting? You even called your mother and me over. Why aren't you here?"
"What? I didn't. It's..." Patrick felt like he had fallen into a trap.
"As Vice Chairman of the Blanchet group, it's not proper to have shareholders waiting for you in the meeting room. Whatever you're doing, come back to the company immediately. Everyone is waiting for you." Paul hung up directly.
Winnie curled her lips. "Uncle Patrick, please! If you don't return to the company, you might have to explain your actions to the police."
Patrick glared at her coldly, a hint of uncertainty in his eyes. 'What was Winnie up to?'
When Winnie and Patrick appeared in the Blanchet family group's conference room, Eleanor and Ishara immediately looked up. Both Eleanor and Ishara had different degrees of tension on their faces.
Especially when they saw Winnie, Ishara's expression changed slightly. She secretly signaled to Patrick.
Patrick's face was very grim.
"Patrick, you called us all here. What exactly do you have to announce?"
Paul, though elderly, still held authority. He sat at the head of the table, sipping coffee slowly.
Patrick remained silent.
Nancy finally noticed Winnie at the corner of the room and immediately became critical. "What's she doing here? This is a shareholders' meeting. What does it have to do with her?"
This complaint was directed at Paul.
Paul frowned and looked over, asking Winnie, "Do you have any business here, Winnie?"
All the shareholders also looked over. It was well known that after Carlos's incident, Winnie was basically considered out of the company. Her only support was her biological father. But now, with Patrick as Vice Chairman, favoring Ishara and promoting her to a young director. Everyone understood Ishara's status.
