Chapter 150 Winnie Saves Mr. Lancelot

When she arrived there, Mr. Lancelot had already been taken to a private hospital. There were many people gathered at the entrance of the Lancelot Mansion.

As a respected figure and political leader in Perugia City, Mr. Lancelot had attracted the attention of the police force, government officials, and other competing companies involved in bidding, all discussing the matter.

Given the circumstances, if Mr. Lancelot really died, Lawrence R's situation would definitely not be good.

Under this political pressure, there might even be rivals using conspiracies.

Winnie's mind was in a daze, and the cold breath she took made her shiver all over.

Mr. Lancelot had a stroke that relapsed...

Her mother had taught her an effective technique called Dry Needling, which could help patients recover from brain-related illnesses because it targeted a unique area for treatment.

Winnie had even heard her mother mention that through Dry Needling, one could control the brain and manipulate the memory nerves of a person. Blocking certain nerves could even change a person's temperament.

However, her mother never engaged in these evil medical practices.

But a few years ago, she also used Dry Needling on that man's brain to treat his nighttime functioning neurological disorder.

Winnie clenched her fists, her gaze sharpened, and she immediately instructed the driver to redirect to Mr. Lancelot's private hospital!

Inside the private hospital, Winnie could only enter the lobby.
Mr. Lancelot's room was deep in the corridor on the ground floor, and the entire corridor was filled with people who came to show their concern.
The relatives of the Lancelot family were guarding the innermost area.
Doctors were going in and out, the situation was critical.

Winnie could only catch fragments of the information about his condition.

Blood vessels had ruptured in Mr. Lancelot's brain, causing internal bleeding. However, due to the pressure on the nerves, they couldn't perform surgery at the moment.

He had fallen into a coma and probably wouldn't survive tonight!

The most authoritative neurologist had been called in, but he was also at a loss, stating that Mr. Lancelot might not make it.

Tears streamed down the faces of the Lancelot family's relatives, feeling helpless.

Winnie pressed her lips tightly.

As soon as she attempted to walk over, she was stopped by security guards. With unfamiliar faces, the security guards treated everyone as journalists and shooed them away.

She couldn't enter the room, let alone talk to anyone from the Lancelot family!

Her heart was filled with anxiety...

For a while, Winnie paced back and forth outside the hospital, constantly checking her watch.

Suddenly, a car stopped in front of the square, and a tall figure of a man hurriedly got out of the car.

He looked anxious and rushed into the hospital!

Winnie turned around and collided with the man, nearly falling, but he immediately caught her.

When he looked up, Rock's worried eyes caught sight of her face, and he was visibly taken aback.
"Winnie? What are you doing here in Perugia City?"

"Rock, what brings you to this hospital?" Winnie asked, looking unwell and lifting her head.

"A dear teacher of mine is seriously ill. He might not survive tonight. I happened to be in Perugia City and rushed over to visit him. And you?" Rock replied.

Winnie looked at him and gradually realized that this was a private hospital, and currently, Mr. Lancelot was the only patient here. Could Rock's teacher be Mr. Lancelot?

Her eyes flickered with contemplation, and in the next moment, as if she saw hope, she immediately grabbed onto Rock's shirt sleeve and anxiously asked, "Rock, is your teacher Mr. Lancelot?"
"How do you know? Are you..." Rock furrowed his brow and then connected it to the reason for Mr. Lancelot's illness.

Suddenly, he understood a bit why this woman was here.

He looked deeply at her, his expression complex. "Your lover has been taken to the police station, the CEO of Kingdom Estates, but you appearing here won't change anything."

"It does. I can treat Mr. Lancelot!" Winnie quickly stated.

"You?" Rock looked at her with doubt, "Even if you want to save him, you shouldn't act recklessly, Winnie. This matter is linked to appointments."

"The doctors have exhausted all options for Mr. Lancelot's condition. They've concluded that he won't make it through tonight, and they're not performing surgery for fear of taking responsibility!"

Winnie pulled him inside, her tone urgent.

"I can do Dry Needling. I have a way to seal off the bleeding in Mr. Lancelot's brain. If he waits any longer, he'll die anyway. Why not let me give it a try?"

Rock looked at her in astonishment. "Do you have a medical license?"

"I do, it's at home."

Rock shook his head and judged her. "You're crazy to want to save that man."

"Rock! Please..." Winnie wanted to grab onto his sleeve, but Rock's expression turned grave as he walked quickly into the ward.

He was a close student of Mr. Lancelot and held power in the Harrington Group in Lymington. The Lancelot family knew him.

When they saw him arrive, Mr. Lancelot's son's eyes turned red, and he immediately led Rock into the ward.

"Father might pass away tonight. He holds you in high regard. Go in and see him."

Rock froze for a moment. Winnie's description of the situation was actually true.

After he saw Mr. Lancelot in the ward, his face grew even paler.

On the first floor, the teacher was already on the verge of brain death, relying on a ventilator to maintain the beating of his heart.
Rock rubbed his forehead deeply and calmly walked out with his handsome face.

At this moment, the relatives and friends of the Lancelot family who came to watch were all dispersed.

Winnie was expelled from the hospital entrance, while Rock stood in the cold wind in the corridor, smoking. Winnie tried everything to get Rock's number and kept sending him messages.

Half an hour later, with his lips pursed, Rock walked out of the hospital entrance. Winnie stood nervously on the steps, her eyes twitching.

He led her into the shadow of the corridor, looking at her solemnly.

"Does your Dry Needling really work? I have never heard that it can treat neurosurgery."

"Mr. Lancelot's intracranial case does not fall under neurosurgery. Only trauma surgery cannot be treated with Dry Needling. I have treated Madam Rodriguez's epileptic brain disorder before. Let me try, okay?"

"My teacher still has cardiac function now. If he dies under your hands, do you understand the responsibility you would bear?"

If Mr. Lancelot died, Lawrence R would never escape tomorrow.

This desperate information firmly gripped Winnie's mind. No matter what, she had to give it a try, take a chance.

She nodded abruptly, "I can write a letter of guarantee. If Mr. Lancelot dies, I'll take full responsibility."

Seeing the confident and determined determination in her eyes, Rock was slightly taken aback.
He narrowed his eyes and hesitated for a moment, then sighed and forced a bitter smile.

"I hope the teacher stays alive. I'll trust you this once. Follow me!"

He led her, sneaked into the doctor's office, and stole a nurse's uniform. Winnie wore a tightly sealed mask.

Rock guided her and came to Mr. Lancelot's ward. The Lancelot family was overwhelmed with sadness and low spirits.

Rock spoke up, suggesting they go in to visit one more time.

The Lancelot family didn't pay much attention and saw a masked nurse by his side.

"Are you here to change the medication?"
Winnie didn't speak but nodded.

"Then go ahead."

Winnie and Rock entered the intensive care unit.

Rock closed the door behind him, his brows tightly knitted. He stood guard at the entrance, his gaze turning to Winnie.

He whispered, "Go quickly."

Winnie looked at him gratefully. "Rock, I understand that you are sharing the responsibility with me. I truly appreciate it."

Rock's brows twitched as he looked at her nervous yet determined face. His heart stirred, but he remained silent.

Winnie immediately sterilized the Dry Needling kit and approached Mr. Lancelot's bed.

His detailed medical records, cranial imaging, and MRI films were placed on the bedside table. Winnie carefully examined the location of the cerebral hemorrhage and its proximity to other areas.

Her hand trembled, extremely cautious, slowly started the process of Dry Needling. Winnie prepared to probe Mr. Lancelot’s skull – it should decrease the tightness and increase blood flow to the brain.

Almost an hour passed, miraculously, there were slight fluctuations in the monitor in front of Mr. Lancelot!
