Chapter 295 Oscar and Darcy Clash
He hastily left with Sidney and didn't inform her in the box. Hearing this, Darcy was furious but had to keep it inside.
She reluctantly took the man's arm, softly complaining, "You left me at Christine's restaurant, and I couldn't even eat. I heard from the bodyguard that Sidney secretly went to find you and you brought him straight to the kindergarten. I was worried that you and your son would have a conflict, so I followed to check on you."
Lawrence R still remembered Darcy's complaints in the restaurant vividly.
At this moment, she had transformed into a gentle and affectionate appearance, lowering her head to sweetly speak to Sidney, "Daddy is very busy, so let mommy send you to school, okay?"
Looking up, she kindly said to the man, "Mr. L, I'm more familiar with Sidney's nursery class, so let me take care of him. There's only afternoon classes left, I'll stay here and pick him up after school."
Lawrence R noticed her patience with the child. He revealed the little unpleasantness in Christine's restaurant to her.
"Hmm," the man replied calmly, raising his chin to his son, "Do you want daddy to send you in?"
"No, you're too handsome and will cause traffic congestion. Don't you have any self-awareness?" Oscar motioned towards the group of moms in a teasing manner, trying not to be too obvious.
"...," Lawrence R was speechless and then realized that he was actually praised by this little guy.
Would the cold and arrogant Sidney praise him as his father?
Lawrence R was deeply surprised, feeling like the lively and lively little guy from two days ago had returned.
He lowered his head and pinched his son's face, teasing him back, "Then you should also be careful not to cause traffic congestion among the girls."
Oscar was quick to react and crafty in his response, "As a father, can you be more modest? Do you have to indirectly praise yourself for being handsome?"
"...," Lawrence R was amused, his lips slightly curved, "Your mommy will take you in."
"Then mommy will handle it." Oscar turned back, casually dealing with the bad woman.
Darcy couldn't find a way to join their conversation as she watched the harmonious interaction between father and son. Their growing bond would inevitably be detrimental to her position in this family and could affect her future with Mr. L's child!
The woman secretly brooded, watching Lawrence R's car drive away. Holding Oscars' hand, Darcy and Oscar walked into the kindergarten, Oscar remained quiet because he had no idea which class Sidney is in and doesn't want to give it away.
Eventually, they walk past several fancy international classes until Darcy stops at a plain and even outdated classroom at the end of the corridor.
Darcy calls out, "Teacher, Sidney is here for class."
The female teacher quickly greets her but ignores Oscar.
Instead, she flatters Darcy, saying, "Miss Ordelia, you brought your child to class again. Sidney, you haven't been here for two days. Come with the teacher quickly."
Darcy replies, "Please take good care of Sidney, teacher." She hands the teacher a box filled with dollars.
The teacher hesitates, looks around, quickly takes it, and says with meaning, "Of course, I will take care of the child."
Oscar, observing everything, notices the strange tone in the teacher's voice.
Darcy, upon seeing the so-called "Sidney," views him as an uncivilized little bastard who wouldn't understand the hidden language between adults.
When Oscar enters the classroom, a few other moms arrive to drop off their children. One of the parents, with an aggressive and chubby child, makes a grotesque face at Sidney as soon as she sees him. The child breaks free from her grip and rushes inside.
She teases, "Sidney, wow, did your stepmother bring you to school again?" Though harmless, Oscar's eyebrows furrow involuntarily, conveying a hint of coldness.
Darcy stands outside the classroom, waiting for that parent to leave.
Then, she coolly remarks, "Did you discipline your son? If he performs well, your family's company will go far."
Nick Cooper's mother nods immediately, saying, "Miss Ordelia, rest assured. Your stepson won't willingly come to school tomorrow!"
Dealing with him at home, causing trouble and annoyance, would be better.
Darcy stares at her fingertips, leisurely walking away.
Just as she reaches the entrance of the kindergarten, a text message arrives, "Darcy, why are you standing on the road? Do you need comfort?"
It's from Mars.
Darcy swiftly raises her head and looks around the surroundings. Under the shade of a tree in front, a luxurious car is parked, and Mars's wicked smile appears in the window. He locks eyes with Darcy and whistles suggestively.
What does this man want? Darcy's slightly surprised and angered as she approaches. Before she can speak, Mars boldly embraces her neck and forcefully kisses her in a French manner.
Leaning against the car window, he intimately touches her chest before releasing her.
"Your days must be boring, picking up and dropping off Lawrence R's son," he remarks.
Darcy purses her lips.
Mars points toward a nearby luxury hotel and suggests, "How about going there with me?"
Darcy questions, "What do you want to do in broad daylight?" Although she asks this, her heart flutters with restlessness from last night.
"What do you say?" Mars smirked. "It's quite thrilling in broad daylight."
Darcy blushed but since they had time, she was half pushed and half dragged into the car...
---
In a regular kindergarten classroom during break time.
Oscar walked out of the classroom, intending to find a secluded spot to contact Sidney, discuss the events of the morning, and casually ask who the bullies were...
"Hey, son of a bitch!" Accompanied by a disdainful curse, Oscar's butt was immediately kicked.
Caught off guard, he held onto the railing to barely steady himself.
Turning around, he saw a plump figure blocking his way.
"I called you, Sidney. We want to play a game of punching the sandbag. Will you come with us to the back building and be our sandbag?" Nick said, arrogantly, with his belly puffed out and his tall stature intimidating.
Oscar glanced behind Nick and saw a group of troublemaking followers, squinting his eyes.
If it were Sidney, how would he respond to this now?
"Just look at him, not saying a word. Sidney, did you turn mute?" Nick pointed at Oscar and burst into laughter.
The other kids laughed too.
"Nick, just hit him right here. After all, this brat can't beat us, and even if the teacher sees, they won't say anything. Sidney's family isn't as wealthy as yours, and he won't tattle!"
They closed in on him.
Oscar narrowed his eyes fiercely.
With sharp eyes, he noticed the teacher walking out of the classroom and clearly seeing what was happening, but she ignored it and went straight to the office.
Recalling Darcy slipping something to the teacher earlier, Oscar suddenly figured it out.
So, Sidney was being bullied like this at school, arranged by Darcy?
He had a cold and honest personality, somewhat introverted, probably not fond of playing with other kids.
This led to Nick picking on him frequently. Sidney had a stubborn personality and likely resorted to direct confrontation.
He couldn't win in a fight, so he often got hurt and was questioned by the teacher. Since he wouldn't speak, it created a misunderstanding.
When he went home, Darcy manipulated the situation, and the clueless idiot of a dad naturally believed that Sidney was living a privileged life, forming his bullying behavior.
The scolding from the clueless dad made Sidney afraid of going to school. It was a vicious cycle that only benefited that wicked woman.
Oscar stood there, his little fists clenched, and suddenly smirked. He beckoned Nick with a hook of his hand.
"Hey, has anyone ever told you that you look like a huge turd, freshly squeezed out?"
