Chapter 833 Caught by Lynn
Jeremy wore glasses, giving him a refined and cool appearance, but Olivia had seen his ruthless side—he was both bad and sexy, cold and crazy.
She unconsciously watched his lean arm move away from her chest, her skin breaking out in goosebumps.
Ever since last night, no matter how she interacted with him, her thoughts would stray, making things feel so ambiguous.
"Jeremy, can you stop doing this in the future?" she murmured, feeling very frustrated.
"Stop what?" His Adam's apple moved slightly as he looked deeply at Olivia.
"Stop crossing the line. We shouldn't be that close."
"You heard everything last night, and now you're telling me this?" He smirked, bringing up the absurd events of the previous night.
Olivia's eyes turned red with embarrassment as she bit her lip. "That was because you were shameless, forcing me to sit there. How can you be so shameless?"
"Why don't you ask Lawrence what shameless means before you judge me?"
Jeremy spoke nonchalantly, glancing at her, his thin lips deliberately moving close to her earlobe. "I asked you if we had ever made love. You didn't give me an answer. I said let's try, and you wouldn't let me. So I had to punish you a bit. It took a long time, didn't it?"
His wanton and frivolous voice almost shocked her.
Was Jeremy really this smug and thick-skinned?
"You're simply shameless." She bit her pink lips, unable to look directly at his wickedly charming profile.
Jeremy stared at her trembling eyelashes, feeling agitated, and spoke even more recklessly. "You didn't rush me last night. Did you know it would take a long time? Have you experienced it?"
Olivia's eyes widened in shame and anger!
She quickly realized he was testing her!
She quietly clenched her fingers, forcibly suppressing the heartbeat brought on by this topic. "I haven't experienced it. And don't think about trying with me! Don't get any ideas about me; I can't handle it!"
Jeremy squinted his eyes.
Did she think he was just playing around? Did she always think he was just playing?
He pressed his tongue against his cheek, gritting his teeth slightly. "I just want you to be clear. What are you hiding? It's not like I have to test you. If I wanted to make love to you last night, do you think you could have escaped? Maybe we shouldn't test it."
He kept staring at her anxious yet adorable round eyes, his heart softening for a moment. Impulsively, he suddenly grabbed her tightly clenched hand, laughing ambiguously. "How about I take responsibility for you directly? But the question is, do you have feelings for me? Do you like me?"
His straightforward and flirtatious question almost killed her.
Olivia looked up in shock at his eyes.
She couldn't tell if he was being frivolous or somewhat sincere.
Her heart pounded wildly. He actually asked her if she liked him?
Her whole face turned red, as if her thoughts had been exposed.
If she said she liked him, would he take responsibility for her?
Did he think the ambiguous atmosphere was just for fun?
Olivia didn't dare to think further. Her mouth trembled slightly as she controlled herself, lowering her head and speaking in a wronged tone, "What's the use of me liking you? Will it make you like me too? Will it make you give up everything to take responsibility for me?"
Olivia's voice was very soft. Jeremy lowered his head to hear clearly, "What are you saying?"
"Daddy, watch out!" Behind them, Mia suddenly exclaimed.
Jeremy looked up, realizing he had been distracted and almost crashed into a large pillar in front of the mall.
A car swerved in front of them.
His strong wrist braced, gripping the steering wheel tightly. The Rolls-Royce came to a sudden stop at the entrance of the parking lot, drawing the attention of other shoppers.
Olivia was startled, forgetting what she was saying.
Jeremy quickly turned to look at Mia. "Mia, are you okay?"
"I bumped my head! Daddy, you were too busy looking at Mommy and didn't notice the road. What were you two talking about?"
Mia's innocent words brought Olivia back to her previous emotions.
She noticed Jeremy looking at her quietly, and his thin lips slightly parted as if to ask her about what she had just said.
Olivia instinctively interrupted him, immediately getting out of the car. "We're at the mall. Let's get out first. Mia, didn't you want to look at toys? I'll take you."
She picked up Mia and quickly walked to the elevator entrance.
Jeremy watched Olivia's almost fleeing back, squinting his eyes thoughtfully.
He had made it clear, asking her if she liked him.
If she liked him, he had a thousand ways to get her.
But if she didn't like him...
Jeremy lightly licked his thin lips, a hint of coldness in his brows.
So what was Olivia's answer?
Was she trying to torture him? Couldn't she just give a straightforward answer?
Jeremy felt a small flame of anger in his chest, following her in frustration.
Jeremy's long legs and superior proportions allowed him to catch up with Olivia in just a few steps.
He pressed his thin lips together, not saying a word, and his large hand reached over her arm, quickly taking Mia away.
Olivia was about to glare, but Mia happily hugged Jeremy's neck, laughing, "Daddy, can I pick out more toys?"
"You can buy all the toys you want." Jeremy was extremely generous.
Compared to him, Olivia felt stingy, clutching the card in her bag tightly.
She was very poor now, having been forced to live frugally by Lynn's family for the past two years.
"Jeremy, don't spoil her too much." Olivia ran up, wanting to remind him.
Suddenly, a woman's voice came from the center of the mall, "Jeremy?"
Olivia's ears perked up, and she turned to look.
It was Lynn, whom she hadn't seen in days!
Lynn had been instigated by Sam to come to Trento City to trouble Olivia. Later, thinking Jeremy was dead and her chance to marry into a wealthy family was gone, she had returned to Lymington.
Now, seeing Jeremy's handsome face, Lynn's eyes flashed with surprise and joy. She immediately let go of the man's hand beside her and quickly ran towards Jeremy, tears streaming down her face. "Jeremy, you're not dead? You don't know how sad I've been these days!"
Jeremy didn't move, frowning slightly, his tall figure seemingly catching Lynn.
Olivia watched this scene, her eyes darkening, her heart aching quietly.
Yes, Lynn was his fiancée. How could he push her away?
The ambiguity in the car earlier, his intense pursuit these past few days, was all because Lynn wasn't by his side. Now that Lynn was here, it reminded him of his responsibilities.
It also reminded Olivia not to fall too deep!
Her face turned pale, and she suddenly heard Mia's dissatisfied voice. "It hurts! Who are you? You're squishing me!"
Jeremy snapped back to reality, pushing Lynn away. "Lynn, don't squish the child."
His voice was very calm, seemingly not happy to see Lynn.
