She sternly warned him, and Ray fell silent, frowning.

Jeremy withdrew his gaze, a mocking smile on his lips as he approached, hands respectfully at his sides. "Dad."
Louis eyed him coldly.
A heavy blow followed, and Jeremy's mother, Katerina, turned pale.
Sam's mother, Theodosia, was also taken aback. She saw Jeremy take the hit, his shoulder bending, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth, and she felt a twisted sense of glee.
"Louis!" Katerina stepped forward.
Lynn's father, Noah, and mother, Liliana, rushed over, putting on a show of concern, "Jeremy's back! Mr. DeRoss, what are you doing?"
"Don't hurt Jeremy!" Liliana cried, tears streaming.
Jeremy's cold eyes glanced over, "Since everyone is here, I'll make this clear. Dad, Lynn and I ended our engagement a month ago."
"Because of her scheming, I had to delay the announcement for half a month."
"Today, I'm here to make it clear to everyone."
"What? Jeremy, how can you say such heartless things? Lynn attempted suicide because of you and is now in the operating room, her life hanging by a thread! You can't do this, Mr. DeRoss, you can't treat people like this." Liliana wailed in despair.
Noah was dragging her, his eyes red with anger, "Mr. DeRoss, we've always valued Jeremy. After three years of engagement, we've treated him like a son. Look at him!"
