Chapter 612 Wedding Again with Him

Lawrence took his hand out of his pocket, held her small hand, and slowly pulled her towards him.

Gazing down at her with gentle eyes, he spoke softly, "Winnie, do you not grasp the reality of the situation? The law of the jungle. Rock made the bold move of involving the police; that's when I crossed paths with illegality. If he hadn't dared to involve law enforcement after taking away my beloved, where would the illegality lie? You wish for me to be imprisoned. Apologies, but you do not hold that authority."'

He caressed her palm.

Winnie felt a chill; the man in front of her had undoubtedly turned into a devil devoid of humanity!

She couldn't believe it. Did Rock not call the police after she was abducted?

She was knocked unconscious by him and didn't know what happened next. With his usual means, did he threaten the Harrington family?

Winnie stared at him with disdain and hatred. She said, "Lawrence, did you threaten Rock again with your power and influence? He has been constantly suppressed and humiliated by you since he arrived in Trento City. When will this mistreatment stop?"

"Who made this man repeatedly cross my bottom line and dare to really marry you!" Lawrence said angrily.

Lawrence lowered his head, his nose touching hers, and in the gentlest tone, he said the most ruthless words. "Winnie, have you ever thought that since he accepted my threat, it proves that in his heart, you are only that important. Your importance is nothing compared to his company, his family!"

Winnie's head trembled lightly, the sea breeze lifting her seaweed-like beautiful long hair, strands of hair poking into her reddened eyes.

She was so angry that even the fine veins on her neck were visible.

She seemed so alive, stirring something in his heart, extinguishing and igniting the flame of love for her.

Lawrence's Adam's apple rolled, his big hand holding her fragile neck as if she were a small pet, wanting to help her brush away the strands of hair.

Winnie suddenly slapped away his fingers, resentful and coldly mocking, "Only someone like you, devoid of humanity, can say such inhumane reasoning. If someone threatened your family, could you disregard everything for love? Rock has done well. It's my fault; I provoked you, a beast."

'She kept calling Rock's name, apologizing to him, feeling heartbroken for that man. And she called me a beast.'

A cold smile spread in Lawrence's eyes; the darkness he had barely suppressed surged once again.

'Then I'll be a beast.' Lawrence thought.

"If I didn't care about anything, why would I bring you here?"

Lawrence's desolate lips formed a cold, bone-chilling smile as he held her shoulders, leaned down to her soft neck, and uttered painfully, "Winnie, the external matters of the company, once lost, cannot be regained. But if I lose you, I have nothing left. Losing you is akin to losing everything. Do you understand? For everything that has transpired in the past, I owe you an apology. I can apologize a thousand times, a million times. I can also make amends through my actions for any harm I've caused you as long as you don't leave me. I cannot bear the thought of you marrying someone else. You are a part of me; since the day I fell in love with you, you have never been apart from me."

His scorching temperature against her cold skin seemed to burn her as well.

Winnie felt a hot liquid trickle down her neck.

She knew what it was.

He was actually crying.

Winnie had never seen him cry before. This man was always unyielding.

His cruel means constantly surprised her.

But what would it change?

Her heart stayed still, despite the anger of being coerced into marriage by him and the overwhelming guilt she felt towards Rock.

'The belated tears were worthless.'

'Lawrence, do you understand?'

"That's enough," Winnie snapped, her voice cold yet desperate. She pushed him away, "I'm not a pawn for you to manipulate at your will, nor someone who must follow your lead or run back to you whenever you call. Who do you think you are? I admit you're powerful, and few in this country can escape your control. But my heart will never submit to you. I detest you. Lawrence, do you grasp the extent of my hatred? You impregnated Ishara and were close to marrying her, yet you came in and took me away. Are you not ashamed? You should know, it was Ishara who used Oscar's safety to force me into marrying Rock. And now, I've developed feelings for him. You need to understand that there is no chance of happiness with you. The moment Ishara became pregnant, my heart died. I no longer love you, and I have no more expectations from you. I'm tired. All I want now is to live a peaceful, ordinary life with Rock. I plead with you, let me go back. Allow me to be with my two sons again. We can discuss custody arrangements; I won't be unreasonable, and I hope you won't be either."

Bloodshot eyes filled Lawrence's pupils, a wave of horror rising.

Despair showed on his face, mournful as death.

He didn't want to hear her say she didn't love him anymore or that she wanted to be with Rock so that custody could be negotiated.

His fingers trembled incessantly, the veins on his forehead appearing one by one, a sign of an impending seizure.

He desperately covered her mouth, his eyes like a hawk filled with desperate determination. "Shut up," he said.

Lawrence couldn't understand how he had completely lost the woman he loved.

Tears welled up in the corners of his eyes.

He trapped her in his arms, lowered his head to kiss her urgently, and stubbornly shook his head. "No, Winnie, we can be happy. You are the woman I love the most. I don't know how things go to this point."

Lawrence continued, "I will make amends. It's okay if you don't love me anymore. Let me love you instead. I have always loved you. I have let you down in the past. This time, let me suffer for you. Let's get married. I want you to be my wife again. This time, it's for a lifetime, I swear."

After his stubborn declaration, the butler approached and said, "Lawrence, the church is ready. It's almost 6:18, the auspicious time."

Lawrence smiled, gently taking her hand. "Winnie, did you hear that? The auspicious time is almost here. Let's have our wedding."

"Have you lost your mind?" Winnie was at her wit's end, her words falling on deaf ears. She began to sob in distress, struggling incessantly. "I'm Rock's wife now. How many times do I need to repeat that? I could never marry you again, not unless I'm dead. Lawrence, I don't want your promises. Are you trying to force me into bigamy, only to marry Ishara once we return? You are the constant source of torment in my life; do you understand that? Let go of me, set me free; I am not going..."

But he ignored her, his big hand soothing her struggling face, regretfully said, "I will never marry Ishara. I will make her pay for what she has done to you."

After his fierce words, he picked up the struggling woman horizontally and forcibly walked back to the manor, leading her into the sacred church.

Lawrence set Winnie down on a chair and instructed the maid, "Cover her with a veil."

He gazed at her affectionately and said gently, "I'll go get the ring, Winnie. I designed it by me personally."

Trapped in the chair, Winnie looked at the sacred church, a sense of foreboding rising within her.
