Chapter 640 Rock Found Winnie

'With his current status and power, no one could threaten him.' Winnie shook off her thoughts, annoyed at her own distraction. She refocused, searching for any possible paths to get out.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew from the distant sky. At first, she thought a hurricane was coming. Running out of the palm grove, she saw a helicopter flying overhead.
'Was Lawrence back? Had he returned so quickly?'
Winnie stepped out, but as the helicopter landed on the beach, Rock hurriedly emerged from the cabin with a group of people.
He wore an elegant dark blue suit, his short brown hair slightly tousled by the wind. When his bright and gentle eyes fell upon Winnie, a flash of coldness passed through them, followed by a complex mix of emotions, and finally, deep joy.
"Winnie, I'm here! I finally found you after a whole month." Rock ran towards Winnie with large strides.
Winnie was stunned.
When she was first taken by Lawrence, she had fantasized about Rock coming to rescue her. But ever since she and Lawrence had been slept together that wedding night, she had given up hope.
She never thought Rock would actually find her here.
She stood there, dazed, her eyes red. "Rock."
But before Rock could reach her, the island's butler, along with some servants, rushed over and blocked Winnie, shouting, "Who are you to barge in here? This is Mrs. Rodriguez, and no one is allowed to take her away!"
"Mrs. Rodriguez?" Rock's eyes darkened at the word, as if pierced by a sharp thorn.
He sneered. "Ridiculous. Winnie is my lawful wife. You'd better let her go immediately. Let me tell you, Mr. Rodriguez has already been arrested and imprisoned."
The butler was stunned. 'Mr. Rodriguez is in prison?'
Before the butler could return to his senses, the unarmed maids were quickly subdued by the bodyguards Rock had brought.
"Winnie, you can't imagine how worried I've been about you and how much I've missed you." Rock rushed over and held Winnie tightly in his arms. His trembling fingers gently touched her cheek, but his gaze quickly shifted from affection to coldness.
For the past month, he had lived in torment, enduring immense humiliation as if he were being cut to pieces, numbing himself with alcohol.
But what about her? He found that her skin was even more alluring than before their marriage. She had always been stunningly beautiful, and now her features seemed fuller. She must have been well taken care of by Lawrence, eating well, sleeping soundly, and even their intimate life must have been good!
Deep within Rock, a profound hatred began to grow. While he was in agony, she was hiding on this island, living a carefree life with Lawrence, sharing a bed.
He couldn't think about it any longer. Looking at her face, he thought, 'Winnie, how could you be so heartless and shameless? Do you remember that I am your husband?'
But he didn't voice these thoughts.
Rock clenched his fists and simply held her tightly, expressing his deep longing.
Winnie felt Rock's tense breath, still in a daze, both happy and deeply guilty.
In Rock's embrace, she felt stiff because she no longer felt pure, especially with him holding her like this, which made her awkward and uneasy.
"Rock," she choked, her face full of shame and pain. "I'm sorry, I..."
"Winnie, as long as you're safe, that's all that matters. We'll talk about the rest later," Rock said tenderly, though his voice was tinged with sorrow. Winnie's tears began to fall as she instinctively asked, "By the way, how did you find this place? Rock, you mentioned earlier that Lawrence is going to prison. What happened?"
Rock paused, suddenly releasing her. A dark shadow fell over his eyes as he stared at her. "Are you worried about Lawrence?"
"I'm not." Winnie was startled by his cold gaze. She froze, never having seen Rock look at her so coldly.
"I'm sorry. I scared you." Rock realized he had let his emotions show and immediately hugged her, his tone softening but still filled with pain.
"I didn't want it to be like this, Winnie, but this past month has been unbearable for me. I've been living in torment, feeling guilty that it was my fault. I was afraid that spending every day with him, you might rekindle old feelings and eventually leave me."
The more Winnie listened, the more her eyes reddened with guilt. She couldn't even explain herself. "Rock, I'm really sorry. I..."
Thinking about the times she had slept with Lawrence over the past days, she felt so deep in despair that she wanted to slap herself.
Especially on their wedding night, she and Lawrence had been...
The more she thought about it, the paler her face became, like ashen paper. She lowered her head, wanting to break free from Rock, afraid she would taint him.
"Don't be like this, Winnie. I believe it's not your fault. Don't cry. Let's leave here as soon as possible. Uncle Elliott and friends are very worried about you."
Rock quickly held her, leading her towards the plane.
Even after boarding the plane, Winnie was dazed, her breath heavy.
Had Rock really rescued her? She looked down at the sea below through the window, watching the island shrink into a dot in the distance.
She was saved from this place behind.
But it was all too late for her because she couldn't pretend nothing had happened.
Finally coming to her senses, Winnie held a cup of water, frowning as she asked, "Rock, can you tell me what happened outside? How did you find this place? And where exactly am I now?"
"This is the most remote island of Coralhaven Isle, which Lawrence bought two months ago under a different identity. That's why Uncle Elliott and I couldn't find it. I found it because we reported to the police that Lawrence had kidnapped my wife."
Rock draped a coat over her shoulders, a look of guilt in his eyes. "Winnie, I actually wanted to call the police that day, but Lawrence took my parents as hostages when he took you. My parents are old, tied up by Lawrence on a plane. I was really afraid they would fall, so I had no choice but to comply with his threats. I couldn't gamble with my parents' lives."
A chill spread through Winnie's heart. Lawrence had told her he had used Rock's family as leverage. But she hadn't expected he would be so brutal as to tie Rock's parents to a plane!
"Rock, were your parents okay that day?"
Rock said heavily, "My mother had a heart attack from the fright. Winnie, if it weren't for that, I would have called the police much sooner."
Winnie clenched her fists tightly. "But you called the police now. What if he... I heard the Rodriguez Group's chip is about to be released. They say it's the most advanced chip in the world, and Lawrence's worth will surely..."
"The Rodriguez Group's chip release failed. The data was destroyed," Rock interjected.
Winnie was stunned.
