Chapter 798 Discovering Something Explosive
The scent was strong, and it was that kind of seductive perfume.
After Sierra died, did Rock find a new secretary? After all, having someone close by was quick and convenient.
Winnie couldn't help but speculate wildly in this direction.
So, was he doing something with the secretary just now, which was why he locked the office door? Was the secretary hiding in the lounge now?
Seeing her go to the bathroom, Rock immediately followed, afraid she would find out, so he could let the secretary sneak out, right?
At this thought, Winnie was utterly shocked.
It was not surprising for a CEO to have an affair with his secretary, but Rock had always had the image of a gentleman. Didn't he always say he was deeply in love with her, waiting for her?
Actually, what man could remain faithful to one woman for so many years?
Being openly flirtatious was at least straightforward.
But Rock was being ambiguous with the secretary while pretending to be deeply in love with her.
The more she thought about it, the more Winnie felt Rock was too fake, hypocritical, and deeply hidden.
While she was in a daze, Winnie faintly heard some movement from under the bed outside!
Then came the faint sound of high heels from under the bed.
If Winnie hadn't been listening at the door, she wouldn't have heard it.
She smiled coldly to herself.
Moments later, Rock relaxed his tone at the door and said, "Winnie, I'm going out to work first. When you're done, come out and have some dessert with me."
"Okay, my stomach hurts a bit," Winnie pretended to flush the toilet.
Taking advantage of these ten minutes, she quickly and quietly came out of the bathroom, surveyed Rock's lounge, and stuffed a miniature camera into the socket by the bed.
Zachary had taught her how to operate it. She came here specifically to confirm her suspicions.
After making sure it was placed correctly, Winnie walked out.
At that moment, a subordinate came to Rock for a signature. While he was distracted, Winnie pretended to admire the potted plants and quickly slipped another camera into the gap of his bookshelf.
After chatting with him for a while, Winnie excused herself and left the Harrington Group.
Doing this kind of thing was really nerve-wracking.
She returned to the Blanchet Group and called Bentley, "I've placed the cameras. Have Zachary keep a close watch. I suspect Rock is having an affair with his secretary."
Bentley was a bit surprised, "No way?"
"After Sierra suddenly died, Lawrence investigated the new mansion Sierra bought and found it was related to Rock. He was suspicious, and I didn't fully believe it, but today I had a gut feeling."
Winnie squinted her eyes, her emotions unchanged, and said lightly, "I placed a camera in his bookshelf. It might be discovered soon. I hope we find something useful quickly."
Bentley said, "I'll have Zachary monitor it."
After hanging up, Winnie opened a file, thinking it would take at least a few days to catch some of Rock's secrets.
Unexpectedly, that afternoon, Zachary contacted her, "Ms. Anderson, can you connect to the video? I have something explosive to show you."
Something explosive?
Winnie's eyebrows twitched, and she immediately connected to the video.
Zachary directly showed her the surveillance footage.
On the office sofa where Winnie had sat in the morning, a disgusting scene was unfolding.
Rock, disheveled, was entangled with the secretary, their passionate intensity almost leaving Winnie dumbfounded.
Especially seeing Rock's ferocious face after shedding his gentlemanly facade.
Was Rock still the gentleman from three years ago, the man who said he liked her at her eighteenth birthday party?
Winnie couldn't find a trace of Rock's previous gentlemanly demeanor.
Now, with his veins bulging, his actions almost made her nauseous.
"Don't rush, Ms. Anderson, there's something even more shocking." Zachary switched to another camera, this time in the lounge.
Under the camera Winnie had placed, the area by the bed was a mess, the secretary's body covered in blood, and Rock holding a whip.
Winnie took one look and covered her mouth, closing the computer. She was afraid she would really vomit if she continued watching.
Her face turned pale as she took a sip of cold water.
She couldn't believe that Rock was this disgusting behind the scenes.
Zachary stopped talking, but on the other end of the video, Bentley's complex face appeared, "I almost threw up. I can't believe Rock is this disgusting."
He added, "I seriously suspect that when you had me send a detective to investigate him, he had already found out. He acted all proper because he knew you were investigating him? That's terrifying."
Winnie was almost certain that Rock had come prepared that time.
Thinking about it, he knew she was having someone investigate him, yet he didn't mention it or get angry at her, making her completely believe he was a good person.
This alone was enough to prove how terrifying he was.
She didn't expect that as husband and wife, there was already a rift between them, mutual suspicion.
Their marriage had no happiness from the start, perhaps all within his calculations.
Winnie couldn't help but shiver coldly, "I suddenly thought, that day Sierra contacted me, was it because she knew something and wanted to tell me, to expose Rock, but Rock acted first?"
"That's a possibility," Bentley said, stroking his chin. "So, to stop Sierra, Rock killed her?"
Winnie stared at the table, her gaze as cold as the marble surface. Without evidence, she wasn't sure yet.
But if that were the case, Rock was truly evil.
"In any case, Sierra's death was no accident. She also investigated me and Olivia, indicating some connection between Olivia and Sierra. I'm now eager to find Olivia's whereabouts. I know the answer lies with Rock."
Bentley sighed, "I know you're anxious. But now the Harrington Group is deeply rooted, and Rock is probably hiding more than you think. Trying to find something useful from him, I think you'll end up in danger first."
"Winnie, you should leave Rock as soon as possible, preferably move out of his mansion. From today's surveillance, he's very perverted, with an extremely contrasting personality. You have known him for several years. Have you ever noticed this ferocious side of him? And he hit you last time. Who knows when his patience with you will run out?"
Winnie felt a chill in her heart. She wasn't unafraid, but she shook her head, "If I leave him now, I won't get any information. I can't be irresponsible for Olivia; she's still missing. Besides, Rock won't easily divorce me."
