Chapter 755 Winnie, You Are My Savior
She dialed the extension and called Lysander in, her face cold. "You guys better watch out. If someone named Lawrence comes looking for me, kick him out immediately."
Lysander nodded.
Lawrence seemed to be Winnie's ex-husband. Lawrence kidnapped Winnie on his wedding day; he was truly despicable.
He must not be allowed to cause trouble at the Blanchet Group.
Lysander went down to the company and specifically instructed the front desk and security.
Unexpectedly, Lawrence really showed up at noon.
Lawrence, dressed in a black suit, looked both cold and sharp. He stood imposingly at the Blanchet Group's front desk, his stunningly handsome face instantly mesmerizing the three female secretaries.
He held a set of lunch freshly prepared by a five-star chef in one hand and a bouquet of elegant, sweet pink roses in the other.
At this time, many employees of the Blanchet Group were coming and going, and everyone's eyes were drawn to the handsome Lawrence.
Quite a few even recognized him.
They said separately, "That's Ms. Anderson's ex-husband, the young master of the Rodriguez Family."
"Mr. Rodriguez? He's fallen from grace now. No wonder our Ms. Anderson dumped him."
"But he looks much more handsome than Ms. Anderson's current husband."
"Ms. Anderson slept with him; she didn't lose out."
This time, Lawrence clearly heard the discussions about him.
Although they misunderstood his capabilities, he was still pleased with their acknowledgment that he was more handsome than Rock.
When Lysander ran down, he saw Lawrence shamelessly blocking the company entrance, becoming a sight for the female employees.
His face darkened as he questioned the security guards and the receptionist, "What are you doing? Didn't Ms. Anderson issue orders that he was not to be allowed in?"
"Lysander, Mr. Rodriguez insisted on seeing Ms. Anderson," the receptionist said with blush.
Lysander glared at the receptionist. "Mr. Rodriguez, can you not make things difficult for us? Ms. Anderson won't see you."
"Then I won't leave. I must see my savior today," Lawrence said calmly.
"Savior?" The receptionists immediately became curious.
Lawrence turned his long legs and glanced at the curious eyes around him. He raised his voice deliberately, "Yes, your Ms. Anderson is my savior. If she hadn't saved me last night, I would be dead by now. Although we are divorced, actually last night..."
Lysander knew something was wrong as soon as he heard this. If the news of Winnie saving Lawrence spread and reached Rock's ears, it would be disastrous.
He rushed over and immediately interrupted Lawrence, lowering his voice. "Mr. Rodriguez, please shut up! Follow me."
Lawrence smiled charmingly. "You're letting me in?"
Lysander glared at his nonchalant handsome face.
Helplessly, he led Lawrence aside and called Winnie in embarrassment. "Ms. Anderson, Lawrence almost told the employees about you saving him last night."
On the other end, Winnie was so angry she wanted to throw her phone.
Before she could speak, another lazy voice came through the phone. "Lysander, your Ms. Anderson not only saved me, but she also almost cried thinking I was dead."
"When did I cry? Lawrence, do you have any shame?" Winnie’s face turned completely red.
Lawrence replied, "No shame at all. I'm planning to win back my ex-wife."
Lysander was speechless at Lawrence.
Wasn't Lawrence supposed to be cold as ice before?
Now, had he abandoned all sense of propriety?
Over there, Winnie rubbed her forehead, suppressing her anger. "Fine, don't let him embarrass himself downstairs. Take him up through the basement and keep him out of sight.""
The Blanchet Group had many people, and she wasn't fully familiar with them yet. If word got to Rock, it would be bad.
In no time, Lawrence took the elevator from the basement directly to the general manager's office.
Lysander knocked on the door and immediately pushed Lawrence in, then closed it.
With a cautious look, Lawrence's dark eyes gazed at Winnie, and he chuckled. "Winnie, Lysander makes it look like we're having an affair."
Winnie looked at the tall, cold Lawrence.
She really missed the old Lawrence who didn't talk much.
"Shut up." Winnie picked up a pen from the desk and threw it at him.
She already felt guilty towards Rock, and now he said those words!
Unexpectedly, Lawrence casually caught it and took a big step forward, holding the bouquet, his deep eyes filled with tenderness. "I really came to thank you for saving my life. I even brought you lunch, worried you might be too busy to eat. But since you shut me out, I had to use some tricks."
Listening to his gentle coercion, Winnie almost was speechless.
Where was the old Lawrence who never coaxed anyone and was always aloof?
Now, with this rogue demeanor, she didn't know how to deal with him, and she couldn't get rid of him.
Taking a deep breath, she sneered coldly. "How many times do I have to say it? I'm a doctor. I would save anyone I see fainting. As for lunch, it's unnecessary. I've already eaten. Take it away!"
Lawrence shook his head. "You clearly care about me but always use being a doctor as an excuse. Anyway, I understand."
"I have nothing to say to you. Leave now." She coldly returned to her chair and sat down.
Lawrence propped his long arms on the table, his sexy Adam's apple slightly exposed at the collar of his shirt. He leaned down with his deep eyes. "I have something to talk to you about. Winnie, our two sons stayed with me last night. Don't you care? How about we have lunch together and talk about the boys?"
Winnie glanced at him coldly, not wanting to fall for it. "I'll call my sons myself. No need to trouble you. Also, I don't like eating out."
Lawrence said, "You have a kitchen here, right? I'll cook for you now."
She couldn't stand it anymore. "Are you that idle? The Rodriguez Group is almost bankrupt, and you don't need to pull yourself together?"
"You want me to pull myself together to win you back, right?" His eyes narrowed slightly.
Winnie no longer wished to engage in any pointless conversation with him.
Lawrence rolled up his shirt sleeves, shamelessly curling his lips. "I have confidence in handling the Rodriguez Group's issues. Don't worry about the Peterson Family causing trouble again."
Winnie rolled her eyes at him. He was so confident. She really regretted it. "How many times do I have to say it? Stop overthinking. If I had known you were this troublesome, I wouldn't have saved you last night."
Lawrence said, "Even if you hadn't saved me last night, during the explosion, it was you in my mind who saved me. So, you saved me twice. I plan to repay this debt for a lifetime. Don't be angry. Eat first, then work, or your skin will suffer." Lawrence gently coaxed her, softly caressing her beautiful face.
Winnie's face heated up where he touched her, and she suddenly stood up. "Don't be a pervert, Lawrence. If you don't leave, I'll call the police and report you for harassment."
Suddenly, Lysander's high-pitched voice came from outside the door. "Ms. Anderson! Mr. Harrington is here to see you!"
