Chapter 933 Tolerating Olivia

Jeremy's sudden outburst left everyone in the room bewildered.

After a moment of stunned silence, one of the staff members quickly flipped through the files and discovered that the groom who had just come to get his marriage certificate was named Sam, a member of the DeRoss family!

But compared to the famous Jeremy, this Sam was practically invisible.

The staff member took a deep breath, feeling a bit panicked, and forced a smile at Jeremy. "Mr. Jeremy DeRoss, are you sure there's no mistake? The couple who just registered were Mr. Sam DeRoss and his bride..."

"I don't want to repeat myself. Annul their marriage."

Jeremy stood still, his tall, lean frame exuding a dangerous aura that pressed down on the staff behind the counter.

The two staff members exchanged worried glances, cold sweat beginning to form on their foreheads.

"Mr. DeRoss, this isn't right. The marriage registration was for them, not you. And it's already been processed, with their marriage certificate issued..."

Jeremy glanced at the speaker, his long fingers tapping lightly on the desk. From beneath his frameless glasses, his eyes lifted, cold and piercing. "They just registered. You haven't uploaded it to the network or the police database yet.

If you don't want to make things difficult for yourselves, do as I say.

The reward will be substantial.

If you want to make things difficult for me, you can refuse."

The pressure was immense, the threat unmistakably direct.

The staff members' faces changed color, unsure of the consequences if they refused Jeremy today.

Working at a small County office, they couldn't afford to offend Jeremy.

If he wanted to act here, it would be done without a trace.

Under the crushing pressure, their fingers curled, and they sank back into their seats. Jeremy's gaze fixed on the computer. "Do it."

The newlywed couple's relationship was deleted from the computer records in an instant.

The system hadn't updated to the inheritance bureau or other government databases yet.

The staff members trembled, "But Mr. DeRoss, the marriage certificate has already been issued to them. You're really putting us in a tough spot!"

"Can't they just hold onto a fake marriage certificate?"

Jeremy's expression was indifferent, his cold eyes sweeping over them.

No one dared to speak.

Jeremy personally shut down their computer, his voice low, "You can leave now."

The staff members looked at the time, still fifteen minutes until the end of their shift.

But, terrified, they glanced at Jeremy and could only shut down the government system early, pack up, and leave the office.

Jeremy didn't leave. He sat on a bench, his long eyes shadowed deeply, and closed his eyes.

His assistant walked over, puzzled by his actions.

Just as he was about to speak, Jeremy's phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and answered casually.

On the other end was Lynn, her voice urgent, "Jeremy, where are you? I was picking out a diamond ring, and when I turned around, you were gone. The clerk said you drove towards the County office...

Are you at the County office? Why don't I come over now, and we can get our marriage certificate?"

"I'm not there, and stop dreaming." Jeremy's voice was cold.

"Jeremy, we're about to have our wedding. How can we have a wedding without a marriage certificate?" Lynn's voice was soft and tearful.

Jeremy chuckled, "Just the wedding, no certificate. If you keep nagging, I'll cancel the wedding too."

"Jeremy...!" Lynn's voice trembled at his indifferent tone.

She quickly changed her approach, "Jeremy, alright, I'm not trying to rush you. Let's have the wedding first, and when you have time, we'll get the certificate. The whole city will witness our wedding, and we've already been living as a married couple..."

Jeremy hung up before she could finish.

His assistant looked at his cold, unfeeling face. Jeremy had no patience or expression for Lynn, but earlier in the store, facing Olivia, his face was full of conflicted emotions.

It was clear that Olivia was the one who truly mattered to him.

No wonder Jeremy had rushed the County office staff to leave early; he didn't want Lynn to come and interfere.

But today, he forced the staff to annul someone else's marriage. What was he thinking?

The assistant pondered, feeling uneasy, and gathered the courage to ask, "Mr. DeRoss, why go through all this trouble? Olivia and Sam's wedding is on the same day as yours. They came to get their certificate today, and you annulled their marriage. Are you hoping to..."

"Mind your own business," Jeremy snapped, his eyes closed, leaning back in the chair, his tall, imposing figure radiating anger as he shouted at his assistant.

The assistant could see Jeremy's frustration and sighed, "You better be able to handle the consequences of your decisions. I think you just don't want Olivia to marry anyone else. You don't want that at all."

Does he not want that? Does he still care?

Jeremy's half-closed eyes were bloodshot as he questioned himself. If he didn't care, why would he risk breaking the law?

"What do you plan to do with Olivia?" the assistant asked urgently.

Two days later, Olivia and Sam's wedding was scheduled. Now, Olivia was single again!

And Jeremy wasn't getting a certificate with Lynn.

The implication was clear. The assistant wanted to understand Jeremy's intentions to inform Ray, preventing chaos at the wedding.

But Jeremy remained silent.

He sat there, asking himself what he planned to do with Olivia now that she was single.

When did he decide to do this?

Maybe it was when he saw her crying in the fitting room at the bridal shop, when he saw that simple, elegant wedding dress. He liked that dress. The simpler, the more it suited Olivia.

He knew her measurements, so he deliberately kept it...

What had he been doing all afternoon?

Jeremy sneered at himself. She was pregnant with Sam's child and about to marry Sam.

What was he doing? Why could he tolerate so much, always making exceptions for the heartless Olivia, pushing his limits?

He hated himself, but he couldn't stop. Olivia was the woman he couldn't forget. Even if she was just a shell, he wanted her!

The day before the wedding, Olivia visited Jake in the hospital. Three days had passed, and Jake still hadn't woken up, surviving only on half a dose of the antidote.

The heart specialists said that without Jake waking up, they couldn't proceed with the heart transplant surgery.
