Chapter 818 Winnie's Retreat
Everyone was extremely disappointed with Winnie and surrounded her in a fit of rage.
Rock watched the isolated and helpless Winnie, a gleam of satisfaction flashing in his eyes.
Lawrence strode over, forcefully pushing aside the angry shareholders, shielding Winnie with his strong arm. His stern face exuded such an intimidating aura that no one dared to move.
Lawrence glared at Rock with extreme hostility. "Rock, you don't deserve to be called a man. Besides being despicable, what else can you do? You've schemed against Winnie so thoroughly!"
"Carlos is disappointed in her, so he forced you to manage the Blanchet Group's real estate project?" Lawrence sneered, then loudly addressed the shareholders, "None of you are fools, right? Would Carlos, the chairman, let an outsider like Rock recklessly interfere in the company's internal affairs?"
He said to Rock, "Isn't it true that you drugged Carlos, forcing him to sign the contract while he was not in his right mind? This contract was signed when Carlos was not clear-headed, making it essentially invalid!"
The shareholders were taken aback, half-believing Lawrence's words.
"The contract is fake?"
"Mr. Blanchet didn't sign it willingly?"
"What on earth is going on?"
Rock's face darkened, and he immediately stepped forward with a bitter expression, filled with grief and indignation, "Lawrence! You took Winnie away, and now you want to slander me after she cheated on me during our marriage?"
"I think it's the Rodriguez Family that's fallen, and now you're eyeing the Blanchet Group, aren't you?"
"Winnie, I'm begging you, wake up. Lawrence is now in a dire situation and will use any means necessary. Don't be fooled by him again and let him take over the Blanchet Group that Carlos worked his whole life for."
Winnie looked at his hypocritical face, trembling with anger, "You're shameless! Rock, it's you who is trying to take over the Blanchet Group. Isn't it you who wants to interfere with the Blanchet Group with that contract?"
"Don't waste your breath on him," Lawrence said, holding back the furious Winnie and glaring at Rock. "Shareholders, the headline news was deliberately released by Rock. He just wants to frame Winnie for cheating, making her the guilty party, so he can take over the Blanchet Group."
"But no matter how well you plan, Rock, you were the one who cheated first! Rock, let me tell you, Olivia is back, and she has evidence of your misconduct at the club."
"Plus, Winnie has caught you in the office with your female secretary. How long do you think you can continue to slander her?"
Rock glared at Lawrence, clenching his fists, his face darkening.
The incident at the club must not be exposed; it was a more serious crime than being with the secretary. Olivia still had evidence! Damn it.
He quickly looked at Winnie's cold gaze.
This bitch, even after he exposed her cheating video and came to the Blanchet Group, she still kept the video? What was her intention?
Rock looked into her icy eyes and understood. She probably wanted to use it to force him into a divorce.
Lawrence patted Rock's shoulder hard, lowering his voice, "You'd better take down today's headline immediately, or Winnie won't mind exposing some of your dirty secrets for everyone to enjoy. Let's see who cheated first."
He added, "You may be smug now, but let me tell you, the harm you've done to Carlos, I will repay you in full in the future!"
"I already have half of the Blanchet Group, Lawrence. You're nothing now, and I've ruined your reputation. All you can do is talk."
Rock mocked without any tension, holding the authorization contract. In the future, he could make many decisions for the Blanchet Group.
It wouldn't be long before he took over the entire Blanchet Group.
Now that Winnie had cheated, causing so much dissatisfaction among the shareholders, she would gradually lose her voice in the Blanchet Group!
Rock glanced meaningfully at Lawrence's waist, mocking, "Too bad, you can't really do anything with Winnie, and now I've made you a target of online scorn, labeled as a bad man who ruins marriages."
Lawrence's icy stare seemed to cut right through him, but he quickly sneered, "Thanks for the reminder. Yes, I can't do anything with Winnie, so how could I cheat with her?"
He turned playfully, pulling Winnie to leave.
Winnie didn't want to go. The Blanchet Group, being one of the top companies in the country, couldn't just be taken over by someone as despicable as Rock. She was unwilling and couldn't betray Carlos. Her nails dug deeply into her palms.
Lawrence whispered in her ear, "He's just the project manager for the real estate project. For Rock to have a say in the Blanchet Group, he still has to fight these shareholders, which gives us time. Besides, I have a way to deal with him."
Winnie looked at him with bloodshot eyes, not believing him at all.
"Trust me! If you stay here, you might be attacked by the shareholders in their anger!" Lawrence tightened his grip on her slender arm.
Winnie felt a cold, stern strength. Even though he was down and out, he still made her feel secure at times like this.
She knew that staying would only anger the shareholders further, serving no other purpose.
Given today's situation, with the news of her 'cheating' spreading everywhere, she could only avoid the spotlight for now.
Winnie was led out by Lawrence.
As they passed Ishara, Ishara, caressing her rounded belly, gave a sinister smile, "Winnie, Rock will let me return to the Blanchet Group. Your good days are numbered! You'll soon end up as miserable as Lawrence."
"Ishara, you and Rock schemed against my dad. You're the stupidest one!"
"I'm not stupid," Ishara sneered, caressing her belly with a meaningful smile.
Lawrence frowned, glancing at her belly, recalling how Oscar had unusually protected Ishara not long ago.
He had asked Ray to investigate, but due to various complications, it was delayed.
He withdrew his cold gaze, holding Winnie's hand as they left the company.
But at the entrance of the Blanchet Group, hundreds of reporters had gathered. Seeing Winnie and Lawrence, they rushed forward, holding up microphones.
"They're still holding hands, so the video must be true!"
"Winnie really cheated with Lawrence, no wonder Rock posted late-night messages."
"Winnie, Rock said he only held your hand after marriage. Do you still like Lawrence? You're so shameless, Rock is really pitiful!"
Other reporters echoed, frantically taking pictures of Winnie.
Winnie, overwhelmed, was about to retort.
Lawrence, however, was in a good mood, boldly wrapping his arm around Winnie, arrogantly smirking, "Yes, she did it for me because she didn't want to sleep with Rock and catch a disease. Do you know how dirty Rock is?"
"Mr. Rodriguez, what do you mean by that? Are you saying Rock was also unfaithful?"
"Not only was he unfaithful to Winnie," Lawrence sneered viciously, "but don't worry, Winnie will personally reveal his big news. And here's a message for Rock: if you don't get a divorce, see you in court. By the way, let me clarify, Winnie didn't cheat!"
"Mr. Rodriguez, you're still denying it. You two were hugging when you returned to your villa, and Winnie didn't cheat?" The reporters didn't believe him at all.
