Chapter 185 Suppression of Triton

Alan’s words were heavily leading, and the intensions of his words were clear. Lawrence R walked slowly, elegantly and majestically. He was tall and Alan seemed slightly inferior in his presence.

He raised a disdainful brow, appearing reluctant to speak.

Beside him, Darcy's face turned cold first, as she spoke. "Alan, you really know how to twist the facts. It was your family who took control of Imperial Group. Island Electronics was established by Lawrence from scratch. He just had some foresight and could have merged with Imperial Group. It was your haste to seize power that pushed Lawrence to achieve his ambitions!"

Darcy's words were sharp, causing the old Mr. Rodriguez and Alan's faces to darken immediately.

The atmosphere at the summit became eerie instantly, with many businessmen subtly turning to side with Lawrence R, against Imperial Group.

The momentum was subtly shifting, in Lawrence’s favor.
"Darcy, there's no need to waste words with him," Lawrence R spoke up with a voice as languid and sharp as a cello.

The entire venue fell silent, and women all admired Darcy.

Winnie also watched from afar as Darcy stood by his side, fighting together. They looked so well-suited. Her heart felt extremely bitter.

As it turned out, Darcy had shared in all of L’s secrets, but she knew nothing, this made Winnie question their relationship and wonder if L ever truly trusted her.

He is very strong indeed, far from Winnie’s fantasy of coming to his rescue and standing by his side whilst he is down, he did not fall at all it seems, but instead had a plan B all along!

"Island Electronic’s would not Cooperation with Eternity Jewelry Co., Ltd." The words came from assistant Luke.

As the words fell, silence enveloped the surroundings. Mr. Rodriguez's face turned particularly embarrassed, undoubtedly an insult from Lawrence R to the Rodriguez family.

But it wasn't just the Rodriguez family who felt humiliated. Winnie's face turned pale, and she took several steps back.

She gazed at Lawrence R, who was the center of attention among the crowd, while assistant Luke's declaration kept echoing in her ears.

Lawrence R refused to cooperate with Eternity Jewelry Co., Ltd.!

By publicly announcing this, he was warning all the companies in Lymington not to collaborate with Triton. Working with Triton essentially meant opposing Island Electronics.

Was he pressuring her like this deliberately? Winnie held the pill in her hand, clutching it tightly in her palm. As she looked down blankly, she remembered that she had come here to deliver medicine to him.

She was afraid that he would lose control today, worried about him, wanting to support him.
And what about him? It wasn't bankruptcy that worried him; his goal was to annihilate Triton.

Suddenly, she felt a little ridiculous, and overly sentimental. Winnie continued to retreat until she reached the corner of the wall, wanting to leave this place, however she was in a total daze.

Suddenly, someone grabbed her arm. When she turned around, it was Triton's manager.
The manager looked at her anxiously. "Ms. Anderson, you're really here!"
"Manager Nelson, why are you at the summit?" Winnie asked confused by his presence.

"I heard that you were coming! Ms. Anderson, you've been missing for a month. I couldn't get in touch with you. Do you know how badly Triton has been suppressed? It's that man, Lawrence R. He has imposed economic sanctions on Triton. Do you know?" Manager Nelson rattled off all his concerns.

"...I know." Winnie responded bitterly.

She had been too preoccupied these past few days and had assumed that Lawrence R's bankruptcy and economic sanctions wouldn't be so severe.

"How is Triton doing now?" Winnie asked cautiously.

"Our stock is plummeting, all jewelry collaborations have been cancelled, and the production line has stopped. If it weren't for a sudden order that came in a few days ago and saved us, we would have declared bankruptcy! The company has over 30,000 employees. What are they going to do? They're all waiting for their salaries!"

"How could this happen..." Winnie asked instinctively.

"Lawrence R has left us no way out!" Manager Nelson yelled. "I wanted to contact you, call you, but I couldn't reach you!"

Winnie immediately checked her phone, only to find that she had blocked Manager Nelson's number.

How was that possible? She wondered. Winnie suddenly remembered that during the time she was in the hospital for observation, Olivia had tampered with her phone.

It seems Olivia and Laura didn't want her to worry, deliberately hiding Triton's true situation.

“Now I finally found you, Ms. Anderson. You need to figure something out quickly. Tonight, is an opportunity, and we need to secure some collaborations. Otherwise, Triton won't make it until the end of the month!" Manager Nelson grabbed her and started walking.

"I just went to talk to the CEO of a shopping mall. He said he could provide us with a counter. We have so much jewelry in stock, and we need to sell it to pay our salaries. Ms. Anderson, this CEO rarely agrees to anything. Come with me and talk to him."

Without giving Winnie a chance, Manager Nelson pulled her towards the banquet hall in the midst of the crowd.

Winnie's mind was in turmoil, but her gaze couldn't help but linger on the center of the crowd, where Lawrence R stood tall, surrounded by people. He appeared cold and aloof as he moved towards the second floor.

Their figures disappeared at the railing on the second floor.

As Darcy walked, she looked down from the railing. Winnie was being led towards the banquet hall by the manager.

She quickly rushed to a quiet corner, with Jeffery following behind. Darcy raised her glass and burst into a malicious smile, whispering, "Tell those CEOs to do a good job."

It wasn't until Manager Nelson led her to a round table that Winnie snapped out of her daze.
Manager Nelson immediately greeted one of the bosses who stood up, saying, "Mr. Lewis, this is our Triton's boss, Ms. Anderson."

"Oh, the female boss, she's so young. Come, have a seat!" Mr. Lewis said.

Winnie looked at the table full of male bosses and instinctively furrowed her brows. Just now, not five minutes ago Lawrence R announced that he wouldn't cooperate with Triton.

These company bosses shouldn't be willing to cooperate with Triton either. Moreover, she was wearing a mask, yet they all looked at her. Did they recognize her?

Now, Lawrence R didn't know she was here. She once stole 400 billion dollars from him, which became his humiliation.

She couldn't appear in public with him; everyone would mock him behind his back.

Winnie tightened her brows and cautiously held onto Manager Nelson, whispering, "Something's wrong with this table. Let's leave first."
