Margaret's words made Marilyn's face go dark. She snapped, "This is total BS! If the Fisher Group doesn't apologize, I'm calling the cops right now!"
"Go ahead," Margaret shot back with a smirk. "You're the one who ripped off someone else's work. Calling the cops sounds perfect."
A reporter nearby jumped in, "Margaret, got any proof Marilyn copied?"
"Yeah, why do you say she's the one who plagiarized?"
"Absolutely!" Margaret gave Marilyn a cold stare and said, "I don't know where you swiped it from, but the original idea of changing colors with different lights? That's from Leo!"
Everyone's jaws dropped. Leo was this super famous, super mysterious fashion designer! No one had ever seen their face. Was this idea really Leo's? If it was, how did Margaret know?
"You mean Leo? Is that for real?" a reporter asked, eyes wide.
"Of course." Margaret's voice was steady and sure. "Actually, the head of Leo Studio, Juniper Hayes, is here at our press conference today. If anyone's got questions, ask Juniper."
Two days ago, when Margaret saw the news about Royal Radiance, she hit up Juniper. Juniper flew to Ravenford in a flash, ready to drop a bombshell at today's press conference!
Right then, Juniper, who'd been chilling in a corner, stood up, took off her glasses, and smiled at Margaret.
"Juniper! It's really her!" The place went nuts. Leo Studio was top-tier, and usually, only the elite got to meet Juniper. And now, Juniper was at the Fisher Group's press conference!
"Ma'am, is what Margaret said true?" Reporters swarmed Juniper, buzzing with excitement.
"Is the idea for the 'As You Wish' jewelry series really Leo's? Did Marilyn really rip off Leo?"
Juniper coughed lightly and waved for silence. She cleared her throat and said seriously, "Yes, that's right. This idea is Leo's, and Marilyn did plagiarize it."
"You're lying!" Marilyn's face twisted. "This idea is mine. I published it two months ago! What proof do you have that it's Leo's?"
Juniper sneered. "Leo applied for a patent for this idea a year ago. It just hasn't been made public yet."
No way! Marilyn bit her lip. "Who can prove it?"
Juniper was ready for this. She calmly showed Leo's patent. "Everyone, take a good look. This is Leo's patent, certified by the International Patent Office. Leo planned to use this idea for dress buttons, and the patent also covers jewelry design."
The patent Juniper flashed shut Marilyn up real quick. Her face twisted, and she wanted to defend herself but couldn't spit out a single word.
"Marilyn, you ripped off our Leo Studio's idea and accused the Fisher Group of plagiarism. We're gonna sue you for it," Juniper said with a smug smile.
With everyone throwing accusations her way, Marilyn forced herself to stand tall, her angry eyes locked on Margaret.
This was supposed to be a slam dunk, and today she should've nailed the Fisher Group for plagiarism! Why did it blow up in her face so badly? Wasn't Juniper supposed to be overseas? Why was she here at the Fisher Group's press conference? How did Margaret manage to get Juniper here? Or did Margaret know everything from the start and set this trap, waiting for her to fall into it?
Just then, the young reporter, not ready to give up, asked, "Since it's proven that the original idea is Leo's, does that mean the Fisher Group's 'Ice and Fire' is also plagiarized?"
Even if Royal Radiance got busted for plagiarism, they still wanted to drag the Fisher Group down. So it wasn't a total loss.
Juniper smiled. "Nope. We're partners, and we already authorized this patent to them. So, the Fisher Group didn't plagiarize; the real thief is Royal Radiance!"
As Juniper spoke, she showed the authorization agreement.
William, standing on the podium, couldn't help but look deeper when he saw the agreement. When was this agreement signed? How come he didn't know about it?
Margaret's performance today blew his mind again. Not only did she perfectly counter Royal Radiance, but she also made 'Ice and Fire' even more impressive.
But what about Juniper's appearance? This was clearly part of Margaret's plan. How did Margaret know Juniper and even sign such an authorization agreement?
At this moment, Marilyn was like a cornered rat, surrounded by reporters. "Marilyn, can you tell us why you plagiarized? Now that the original creator has exposed you, how do you feel?"
Marilyn's face darkened. "Sorry, no interviews!"

His cold eyes locked onto Marilyn. "Does Royal Radiance think they can just walk away after slandering the Fisher Group?"
William's powerful presence made Marilyn shiver and take a step back. "What do you want?"
William's handsome face was tense, and he coldly said, "Apologize to Margaret!"
"Why should I apologize to her?" Marilyn gritted her teeth and snapped, "Even if 'As You Wish' is Leo's original, what does it have to do with Margaret? Why should I apologize to her?"
William's thin lips tightened, and he said word by word, "Because you stole her design!"
