Chapter 171 Should You Reveal Your Identity

"Cool," Lucy said, not missing a beat. She gave a quick nod and told the driver, "Tail that car."

"Got it, Miss," the driver replied, keeping a respectful tone as he followed Lyle's car from a safe distance.

Lucy and Grace trailed Lyle all the way to East Garden. They watched as Lyle pulled some luggage from the trunk and led Margaret into his apartment.

Seeing Lyle and Margaret stroll into the building together, Grace couldn't hide her rage and jealousy. She spat out, "That shameless Margaret, moving into Lyle's place like she owns it!"

A sly grin spread across Lucy's face as she glanced at Grace. "Lyle's sneaking around with Margaret. Imagine the headlines if we leaked this to the media."

"But won't that mess things up for Lyle?" Grace asked, a bit worried.

"What's your problem?" Lucy snapped. "You wanna see Margaret hanging all over Lyle?"

"Of course not," Grace fumed.

Lucy smirked. "Exactly. That tramp Margaret, just got dumped by William and now she's all over Lyle. The media will have a field day, probably dig up all her dirt. Everyone will hate her. She'll be labeled a cheater. Think Lyle will still want her then? Once she's out of the picture, your chance will come."

Grace felt the temptation rising. She nodded, deep in thought. "You're right, Lucy."

Meanwhile, Margaret followed Lyle into his apartment.

"Margaret, how do you like it here?" Lyle asked gently, lugging her bags into the bedroom.

"Yeah, it's nice, thanks," Margaret said, glancing around. It was a cozy one-bedroom, small but well-furnished and stylish, just her taste.

"If you need anything, just holler, and I'll get it for you," Lyle said, trying to be considerate.

"No, I'm good. Just a bit tired and wanna rest." Margaret gave a faint smile.

Catching her hint to leave, Lyle's eyes darkened. "Alright, I won't bother you. Rest up, and call me if you need anything."

"Thanks," Margaret said, her face blank despite Lyle's concern.

Lyle turned to go but hesitated at the door, looking back. "Margaret, got any plans? Thinking about going back to Starlight Entertainment and revealing who you are?"

There were all sorts of nasty rumors about Margaret online. If she revealed her identity, the rumors would naturally die down.

Margaret frowned slightly and shook her head. "No need."

"Why? Don't those rumors bug you?" Lyle asked, confused.

Margaret smiled. "You said it yourself, they're just rumors. Why should I care?"

After a pause, she added, "Besides, all I care about is finding a cure for Bradley. I don't have time for anything else."

Lyle nodded thoughtfully and said in a low voice, "Alright, then get some rest."

He gave Margaret a long, meaningful look before heading out.

Once Lyle was gone, Margaret pulled her laptop from her suitcase and fired it up. With a few quick keystrokes, she hacked into the hospital's security system. A few minutes later, she had all the info on Bradley's condition. Turned out, Bradley's surgery went well, but for some weird reason, he hadn't woken up.

Margaret rubbed her temples, staring at the screen, deep in thought. If modern medicine wasn't cutting it, maybe she could try some medicine man's method. But she wasn't too confident about that. If only she could get Pryce out of retirement, he could definitely fix Bradley up.

Problem was, she had no clue where Pryce, her old medicine teacher, was hiding.

Her mind was a mess.

No matter what, she needed to see Bradley herself to figure things out. Since William wouldn't let her near Bradley, maybe she could get Peter to help.

After a sleepless night, Margaret headed to the Fisher Group early the next morning. Standing in front of the towering Fisher Group building, she felt a bit dazed.

As she walked into the lobby, employees started pointing and whispering. Their tones were full of disdain and mockery.

"Isn't that Margaret? How does she still have the nerve to show up here?"

"If it weren't for her, Mr. Bradley Fisher wouldn't be in the hospital."

"Margaret is so ungrateful. Where else can you find a guy as tall, handsome, and awesome as Mr. William Fisher? And she still dumped him in public."

"You don't know? Mr. William Fisher didn't really like that country bumpkin. He actually dumped her, and she was just pretending to be cool."

"No wonder. I bet she's here to bug Mr. William Fisher again."

Margaret heard all the harsh words but ignored them, keeping her face calm as she walked straight to Peter's office.

"Ms. Scott." Peter looked a bit surprised to see her.

Margaret gave a faint smile and greeted him, "Peter."

Peter had been arranging a worldwide search for Pryce, but all the responses were dead ends. He was pretty stressed out.

"Ms. Scott, are you here to see Mr. William Fisher? He's in his office now," Peter said politely, hiding his troubled expression.

The sudden drama at the engagement ceremony had really thrown Peter for a loop. He couldn't figure out why Margaret had called off the engagement so suddenly. And it was clear to Peter that William was still reeling from it. Maybe there was some misunderstanding that needed to be solved.

"I'm here to see you," Margaret said, stepping closer, her expression calm.

"See me?" Peter sounded surprised.

Margaret nodded. "Peter, I need your help with something."
